Hi all
I have a problem with my XDA II / Plantronics M3000 - the headset sometimes turns off in the middle of a call. It only started doing this after I upgraded the firmware (currently on ROM 1.60.00WWE and Radio 1.10.00).
The call doesn't get dropped (call timer still runs) but once the headset turns off then you can't hear the caller or vice versa. Can't find any way to transfer the call back to the handset either. Switch the headset on again and all is OK for a while.
Anyone else had this problem or got any suggestions for a fix?
Thanks in advance
Steve H
I have the same combination as yours, but it works fine.
Yup, I get that probem too with my bluetooth headset, the only solution i have found so far is a quick reset and then phone the person back
Known problem
Hi somewhere on this forum there is a thread confirming this headset is not working properly (i think it was confirmed by a australian headquarter)
so I called the dutch headquarter in Hoofddorp, and they confirmed to me that with the current rom's there is a problem with this headset, they say they are working on a solution, but recommanded me to return the headset to the shop

I have this combo too [M3000 BT with i-mate XDAII]. Plantronics tech support said there is a bug within Carrier Devices software for i-mate XDAII preventing effective operation. One of the last i-mate ROM updates messed up things with the M3000 BT. I've email Carrier but not heard anything yet. Also posted at Club-imate forum.

The pocket BT tools fixed this on my Qtek 2020+M3000.
It is a problem related to the native BT stack.
The only thing that will not work is the automatic timer on the BT tools: when it turns off the BT on the qtek, it also turns off the M3000.
But if you turn off the BT manually the headset stays on, so it is not a big issue.
I ran the debug version and sent the file to Tobias to fix this. Hope he will do it.

Du hast sicherlich GB drauf oder?
Hm bei dem einen klappt es wohl mit .am bei dem anderen, wie mir nicht, muss also jeder selbst finden was geht bzw. die App nutzen.

I have a bluetooth carkit in my car. Before I had my MDA Vario I had a SPV-C500 wich worked perfect in the car. The problem I have with the MDA Vario is that is looses the connection with the car after some time. Then the car says it sees no phone. When I reconnect the phone, everything seems ok, but after some time the connection is lost again.
It drives me crazy!
What could this be? Could it help to upgrade my ROM?
I have now:
IPL 1.06
SPL 1.06
ROM 1.6.2.2 (T-Mobile NL Dutch)
Radio 1.13.10
Out of interest, how long does it tend to stay connected?
I guess that's normal for this device. When it goes to standby the bluetooth is turned off. Try it and tell us if it looses the connection in standby.
Hope I could help you and that my answer is correct. . .
Thanks for both your response.
It is not the timeout. When the device is standby, the blutooth led still blinks and bluetooth is fully operational, that means when the device is in standby mode, the car sees the wizzard and I can also connect it.
The period for when the carkit and the wizzard loose their connection is variable. Yesterday for example it was the whole day within 30 seconds. The connection could even be gone when I was calling over it. When I was fast enough (=people on the other side didn't hang up  ) I could reconnect and talk further.
Yesterday evening I removed my sim card to try my old SPV-C500, which still worked fine (no lost bluetooth connections). When I tried the Vario again the bluetooth connection stayed for a few minutes, but then the connection was lost again. So it seems that after a soft reset (battery was removed to reach the sim card) it holded the connection for a few minutes in stead of a few seconds the rest of the day, but this could very well change to a few seconds later this day and then I have to reset the device again to reach a few minutes, which is of course also to short for me
Bluetooth OK
My BT headset stays connected all day long. I also have a TomTom GPS receiver paired up and, although it can be a little slow connecting, I get no issues between the two.
I don't think it's a device issue.
Mine's an O2 XDA, standard ROM, no O2 Active stuff, no fancy trickery
It sure is a device-car combination issue. Yesterday I did a hard-reset and sudenly everything worked perfect... until this afternoon. Lost connections after about 30 seconds each time. I did a hard-reset again and it worked perfectly again. Hope this time longer dan 2 days.
I don't like to hard-reset every 2 days!!
I think I know what the prob is... well at least the cause.
I've just started beta testing traffic.tv which connected via GPRS every so often... as a result I have noticed that on my 1.6 Vario ROM just after its connected ( or disconnected - not sure - not had time to check ) to the net ( and this is not just Traffic.tv ) BT becomes de-activated.
I think this is a ROM issue which I will log with TMobile on Monday but its the same as what you have I think... and yes I have a BT carkit too and it only happerns when thats in use ( I think ).
Terran
Wow! I hope you found the cause. It could very well be. I will turn off GPRS and then see what happens!
I will keep you informed with the results!
Thanks so far!
BT troubles Qtek 9100 and CarKit Connection lost permanently
Hello,
I have the same Bluetooth (BT) troubles with my Qtek 9100 an the build in Car BT-Kit.
Where can i find an answer?
ROM-Update? Where can in find a german (DEU) Update. I use ROM-Version: 1.3.7.11 DEU, ROM Date: 9/29/05
Thank you
Tony
I think there is a thread on here somewhere with a registry change to stop Bluetooth timeout
Hi,
I still have these troubles and I have the latest English QTek AKU2 update!
It goes wrong after a period of approx 6 to 7 days.
When it happens, I hard reset the device and restore a full backup from my sd-card and i am up and running in about 3-4 minutes.
But still I will have a look in the archives for that bluetooth timeout setting, maybe it helps ;-)
Nothing found... yet! The only bluetooth timeout problems I can find are the trouble people had with upgraded WM2003 -> WM5 machines. There was the problem that after resume (poweron) the bluetooth shuts itselves off.
BT Bug fixed with OS 2.18.7.7
Hi all,
with the new Update to OS 2.18.7.7 (DEU, you will find the Link in this forum) a new Communication-Manager startet and the BT Connection-Bug is gone.
Best Regards
Tony

I'm having a similar problem with an o2 XDA Mini S, TTN5.21 and a built in bluetooth kit.
However, I noticed yesterday if the GPRS connection was active then the carkit would remain connected...
My problems only started after I installed TTN - Tomtom support say that the phone will not support connections to the BT carkit and the BT GPS receiver at the same time......
Lost BT connection with car kit
Did anyone find a solution yet, besides the T-Mobile one? I'm using the Qtek S200 and I'm getting nuts about this connection ever losing again.
Will I have any problems if I do this appart from the electrical socket?
It appears now that the Hero wont be avaible for another two weeks and I kinda needed a new phone at the start of July.

om du har en HTC mobil sedan innan kan du använda den gammla laddaren.
eller ladda den genom datorn.
if you have another HTC phone you can probibly use the old charger for the phone or use the cpu.
Hey Community,
after month of trying to connect my X1 to my Pioneer headunit (without success), I finally will give it away... (because the satnav was way more expensive then the X1 )
WinMo 6.5 is installed, no branding, technically top plus 4GB card! No cracks in the case, but some scratches in the battery cover.
To visit in the region of Ludwigshafen/Mannheim/Heidelberg Germany
No sending, you have to collect it by yourself!
Suggest a price!
If interested, message me!
Preis VB

ORLY? I bet a bunch of guys will wait in the bushes to steal my cash (I will kick the s..t out of them of course) when I get to the meeting location. No thank you.
Just buy a different headunit lmao. May I ask what phone are you planing on buying?
Normally this would be moved to the Markeplace, however you don't meet the minimum required amount of posts so thread's going to have to get locked.
