Has anone managed to get the HTC Touch HD to work with Windows 7?
I've installed the software from the disk but cant get mobile device center to recognise the phone

you have to install device center 6.1 from microsoft.
Version 6 doesn't work with our phone.
Had me stumped for a while last night.

I have done that but CabViaActiveSync does not work, it denies me access. Is there an updated version for windows7 or am I missing something?
Has anyone got it working in windows 7?
Currently the only release is WMDC 6.1 for Vista, which installs and works on Windows 7. I honestly haven't tried installing CAB files via ActiveSync so I can't chime in whether that works or not. I usually just copy them to my device and run them from the device.

That partially worked for me. Get stuck half-way with syncing with a strange pop-up notification window: "the name doesn't match owner's name" (or sth like that)

i just get OBEX FIle transfer and nothing else
ive hunted through the XTNDConnect settings and it says it provides them services but it doenst seem to be working.
Can anybody provide any tips.
Im currenty working on XP SP1 but will be working with 2k eventually
the xda is running the latest upgrade from o2
i want to be able to browse all of my computer network and connect to the internet via gateway..so basically just add my pocketpc as another machine on the network if thats possible

Ive tried installing widcomm software on the 2000 pc and it wont work,
ive updated widcome on the xda to 1.5.0 still says it cannot find any services
ive got some connections in network places but if i try to set em to "connect" they dont work, however whist it is trying to connect i can add Lan access using PPP on my xda.. not that it actually does anything.

I flashed a new Custom ROM on my Omnia 7 and it works fine: the new miROM Nokia Edition.

But when I try to deploy my Apps from the HDD with "Application Deployment", I get errors. Is my phone not fully unlocked? Or must I do something more? Registry?
I have also a Zune connection error (see the picture). The free Memory is 0.00 MB??? But while flashing the new ROM I formated the memory.

Maybe it all has do to with the Zune connection error.

looooooooong time i don´t use the zune connectio in the background.
I use wXapAssistant_no_Zune_need.zip for connect + deploy to my device or i let it connected in background and use MultiXapInstall.exe to deploy multiple xap´s
and it woks ..... why zune not work- really don´t know ...

can you sync with zune? my omnia with same mi7rom can sync with zune and deploy over the both apps ... After flash,have you do a rest?

My problem is the graphic card. I have 1Gb dedicated, but Win8 not recognises it.

1. try the stable 12.10 catalyst, its already build for win 8
2. i had to install the 12.9 beta catalyst at first didnt work for me with the 12.10 as first installation

That's one of those switchable graphics adapters isn't it? IIRC you will probably need drivers from HP to get it working as I don't think AMD directly supports them, its an OEM function built in to their drivers. try downloading the windows 7 drivers from HP then try install them, failing that try manually updating the graphics driver in device manager but point it to the folder containing the HP drivers, you will probably need to extract them

No.
If there is a way, VMware will probably be first to make it. But not for windows XP. It's too old for anyone to care about it. If there is anything, it will be for Windows 7, 8 or 9 or something.

Not sure if you need xp or just some of the apps but I remember reading a while ago a russian company was working on a x86 emulator for android but only had it running at 20 percent. If you can get away with windows98 Ive installed that before through dosbox for some gaming.

Hi, I just got a new laptop (Lenovo Yoga 13) and flashed a new ROM on my GS4 a few weeks back. PC is on Windows 8.1 and GS4 is on Google Play Edition Port 4.2.2 by b-dub25.
I'm trying to have my GS4 show up as a disk (MTP/UMS, whichever works). When I plug in my GS4, nothing happens on my PC, or it will say "installing", and then nothing happens. If I go to Control Panel >Devices and Printers, it shows up as "SAMSUNG_ANDROID". The phone does the usual "Connected as a media device" deal. However, when I plug in my device to my fiancee's laptop (Windows 7), it boots up just fine. And when I plug in her phone (Stock GSIII), then it pops up like it should. I have no idea what to do.
I have already tried
installing the drivers over and over, both regular KIES and KIES
"Update Driver" from control Panel
Change to PTP
Rebooting PC and GS4
Going through the Samsung Troubleshooting

Google play edition ROM 4.2.2 has a mounting problem where it won't show up on your computer (from what I remember ) flash a different ROM and see if that works.
