When I make a phone call and disconnect, the call disconnects but the small icon remains in the top bar. I have the X closes program running (using iLauncher) and have tried Magic Button. The only thing that closes the program is cleanRAM which is a pain to use always. Any suggetions? Thanks.

Hello,
How do i find the calling pad with the numbers etc?
I hit 'calls' or phone from the start menu and all i get is 'no missed calls'
Thanks
Another annoying thing is, anything i open and close with the 'X' it still appears in the task manager all day, which is a pain as when i click 'X' i'd like them to close, like they do on a regular PC
1) press the green phone button to get the keyboard
2) you need a task manager to really 'close' your application (like spb)
1) press the green phone button to get the keyboard
I do, and it says 'no missed calls to display'
2) you need a task manager to really 'close' your application (like spb)
Is it free?, where can i get it bud?
Thanks

Hi,
When i click start - phone
It takes me to the call screen, and says 'no missed calls'
As in my attached file :?: directly in the 'Call history' :?:
Yep,
That's what i see
Weird :?
Because I've to press the 'Call History' button to jump in the last screen, and when I push on the 'Ok' to close it, I'm back on the keyboard window.. I'm going to check my 'options'...
Ok, I've a Qtek 9000 with a different ROM, but I don't think it could be so different... anyone else with O2 :?:
Hey
I have a small grip against Comm Manager. I use it a lot but I hate the fact that when you hit exit it actually stays open in the back ground (if you go into your memory settings and view active programs it will say Comm Mgr there)
Anyway to make it force Exit Comm Manager when I hit exit ?

Hi ludester..
Dunno if ya figured it out yet, but it is possible for u to ask the phone to shut down the progs(comm man. by just pressing, not holding the "X"
>settings>buttons>..go figure
kind regards
hold x
if you push on the x and hold it for a few seconds it turns off the running program. a short push on the x just minimizes it. you can also go to running programs and shut it off. hope that helped.
I haven't seen any tweak that will force quit an app or running process by just tapping X if it designed to keep running.
Wk task mgr works very well to force quit. Also shows the comm manager still open in an XP style task bar. Similarly you will see active sync running after a soft reset. (not just running in the background as you say)
Or just map a link to taskmgr.exe in the windows directory. Quick access to force quit any app or process.
I agree about your gripe concerning the comm manager kept running.
If you go to Start->Settings->System Tab->Task Manager->Button Tab, you can change the shut down command from tap and hold to just tap.
I can't access the messaging app on my Touch.
I received a text message and when I pressed reply in the menu the messaging app did not open. But, everything became very slow (e.g. the start menu did not display until more than 10 seconds after I tap start). I had to soft reset (hold power button down) to resume normal operation.
Now this happens every time I try to access the messaging icon either through the Programs icon or the middle message icon on the HTC Today screen plugin. I checked with Dotfred's task manager and see that when everything gets slow, tmail.exe is using up the cpu. Soft resetting is the only way to get things to work at normal speed again.
How do I get the messaging app to work again?
i'm in a phone conversation, and someone asks me if I'm available on a certain date, i would want to check my calendar to see if i'm available.
i wanted to do this yesterday but after looking for more then a minute (while the call was open) i gave up.
does anyone know how to do this or even if it is possible???
(so open my calendar during a phone conversation)
pin it to the start menu
push hardware home button. then hit calendar on home screen. hit call hardware button or phone status in task bar on touch screen to get back to dialer screen.
I have the calendar in the start program. Everyone by default also has the "Today" on line one of the start menu, which will minimize the phone, take you to home screen, and allow you to open Tasks (or in your case, calendar). Finally, use the close button (X in upper right) to close the phone. It doesn't disconnect the phone.

thx for the replies guys!
I use Calender SBHC a lot- its great. but everytime i try to get out of it, it closes. is it possible to force it to stay running in the background even if i press the X button in the top right.??
otherwise it takes time to load up each time
Don't close it with the cross, press only the ok the hardware ok button, it will minimize the app. And make the calendar in the taskmanager to an exclusive app, so it will not be automatically closed.
You can allso add it to the exception in the HTC task manager settings.
Start the program, go to settings, system tab, then Task Manager.
Long press on SBHC and click add exclusive .
