Hello,
A friend of mine has got a strange problem with his HTC TouchPro2. He wants to show the weather of Egypt with his TF3D-weatherpanel.
But he can't do it? Egypt isn't show up in the list, where you can select the cities, which have to shown up in the panel.
So he want to modify the "2330fc3c_manila" to add the cities of egypt.The crazy thin is, that they're already exist in this file. But the porblem is, that you cant select them in the weather-panel.
Would you like yo kind, to check, if you can select "egypt's cities" in the TF3D weather-panel?

Right...it's missing and this is exactly the problem. How can I enable Egypt-wheather in TouchFlo3D?
Very Strange, it is working fine with me and I'm choosing Cairo
the wither in Egypt on my Pro2 but realy not all the cites included i chosen Port Said and Cairo and Alex.
It works fine with me, not all cities are there, but there is enough.

The data update can be done by automatical connection programmed or by ask if you don't have data edge connection (Wifi and Activesync for me).
It supports the PDA proxy settings (useful for weather update during working times).
I searched through a lot of these weather forecast software and I'm having problems with most of them because I stayed in a 'small' city in UK, and most of the software just doesnt have my city in the chart.
So, can you check if this has the city "Exeter" in its list?

Yes, it is in the list. This WeatherPannel is the most complete. Give it a try. It´s fabulous. Tou can download satellite images with each city and lots of information. Very accurate

i agree with you. it's the best weather plugin, it has animated icons and it is very functional

I used to use the Marsware one as well on my old X50v. Then when I got my Vario I decided to try SPBWeather instead - might not have the fancy animations but takes up much less space than MarsWare. SPBWeather still has multiple city support and manual or auto updates for retrieving weather info.
I found a great template for it that grabs weather direct from the www.bbc.co.uk/weather and so you can find 99.9% of all UK towns and cities. It also supports other countries as well.

I have just tried this, installed the app and downloaded the BBC weather 1.2 templates.
All I get is "Error downloading data from site", but it has definately been downloading some data.
I followed the instructions, word for word and they were accurate - but no weather.
Does anyone have any ideas... is it reallt WM5 compatible?

I mentioned in my post that I'm using it on my Vario so yes it does work on WM5.
Have you unzipped the templates and put them into...
\program files\spb weather\templates
...and added them to the programs like the instructions described?
Also, what city/town code are you trying? Let me know and I'll try it on my Vario.

Hmm I noticed that, I assumed it was because the screenshot was American, so it did only UK weather, but a quick check shows that it says "around the world". The only other thing however is that it says

Does that mean it won't work at all, or just really badly on the Mini S? Mine is slow enough as it is without being any slower!
edit: I guess i found out myself. I tried to install and when confirming on the XDA, it said "Space Required: 1kb" which obviously isn't right, and nothing has appeared on my device at all. Damn
Well i tried MARSWARE Weatherpanel 2.5, however i have two issues with it; Firsty, it seems to really slow my MDA down and when i pull the keyboard out it takes much longer to flip the screen. Secondly, it has installed a strange hard to read font which Opera has seems to have adpoted to start using in its a address bar etc.
Anyone else has any of the probems or know a fix/tweak?
I have spb weather on mine it works great. I liv ein a small town in the south east UK and I simply did a search on weather.com for the code to enter and created a custom city in the software with this code and downloaded the weather.com forecast.
I highly recommend this for any UK dwellers as it works perfectly and weather.com covers the whole uk in pretty good detail.

yup
i found it quite well too
but now i switched to the SBSH PocketWeather as it contain more downloadable details. eg, satellite pics, wind speed, atm pressure, humidity, wind phetch in the today screen.
i think this sw is more suitable for someone who want the program looks more professional

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Just downloaded the 15 day trial of this and SPBs equivalent, no contest.
Marsware WeatherPanel is easily the best.
Hi all everytime i install a theme (being tf3d config or manually) i can no longer use the weather database editor to edit the database,
for some kind of reason the editor sees no countrys and citys anymore, however in the weather tab i can still select the original countrys and citys...
anyone know whats up , and how to fix this issue ?

I think I may have fixed this issue on my phone. I guess alot of phones are having this problem. I found that my manilla files for the sprint TF3D theme was missing a file. So I installed the andreas falke weather database and it installed the missing file and now it works fine.
Hello everybody,i'm quite new to the windows mobile platform,just got my Touch Diamond a few months ago and i have the original HTC Rom instaled.Yesterday i was experiencing problems with the weather app and read this topic and the on given in the second replay,and decided do give it one more then to see if it will work on it's own.Today i went in the "Settings Tab" - "Data" Tab and unchecked "Download weather automatically" then i checked it again,hit the "Back" button got a messenge from hy HTC telling me something about the weather and all was fine after that.You can try it and see if it works

well I was drinking a lot of beers yesterday, BUT I Installed the cab now and it seems to work OK on HD. Just the menu is small, probably 320x240.. but I made picture including the GPS coordintes, recorded and typed note for it.. Not sure what else should it do, but this basic stuff works fine (location visible on Google maps correctly too..)
How did you activate the Footprints tab in the Touch Flow? I installed the CAB file but unfortunatly I can't find Footprints, even after having soft-reseting.

I can confirm that it does work and can add GPS info to photos. But the screen resolution is all wrong and will not allow insertion into touchFLO 3D

rename the 2 footprintfiles (windows directory) with langage code in your language code from your device.
FootCam.exe.0409(original, english) --> FootCam.exe.0407(example for german)
HTCFootprint.exe.0409 --> HTCFootprint.exe.0407
Footprint starts and works fine with google maps

Its the same one i used. But didn´t work for me.
PTG ROM. changed to 0410 both files but nothing happen.

Mine can start but the UI messed up. When I want to add a new footprints it show something at the corner with size 200x240. Can see nothing.

Hi I uploaded a working cab for Name Display for Rogers and Fido subscribers.
I used the rilphone.dll from the new Rogers roms released. The corresponding radio is 1.14.25.55.
It should work for most custom and stock roms. The only problem I found was it doesn't show in the dialer for the new touchflo 3D roms but does show the name in the call log.
For people who don't know, Name Display is a feature in Canada that allows the name of the person to show on your screen even if they are not listed in your phonebook. Please keep in mind you have to subscribed to this feature.
I've never made a cab or anything like this before. I did it with alot of searching on xda and google. Luckily most of the work was already done by the guys over at the raphael and diamond forums. So thanks alot to them.
So try out the cab!

I installed your CAB file on my Generic X1i R3AA010 ROM. Name Display does work now, however with S2U2 enabled, I don't see the name of the caller. I'm sure this is a limitation with S2U2. I will try to send A_C a message to see if he can figure out how to enable it in S2U2, but if anyone else has any ideas, please let us know.
I also noticed that you incorporated the TrustTimeZoneField fix for the incoming SMS wrong time issue.

It might be an issue with how the visual aspects of s2u2 are aligned. For the new touchflo dialer, it doesn't show either but when you replace the dialer .png file with one from the vga dialer, it works perfectly.

Sorry, i dont have that file anymore. It's not worth it anyway, it doesn't fit the screen fully and since its the only thing changed in the dialer it throws off everything else and the slider doesn't work.
Thx for the cab, I installed it and it works! However, I have the same problem with the new dialer not showing the name. It does show up in the call log so I know it works.

Ok this is really annoying! Evertyhing works except the incoming call, it just doesn't display the name! There must be a solution out there somewhere...
Hey folks, I've been using Name Display on my XPERIA for a while now. Christian has even cooked it into one of his ROMS!
Before that I used the Rogers Name Display cab from the Diamond. It's located somewhere on this forum and it works great. I do not seem to have the issue that you guys are having with the dialer (using the default dialer)
