I JUST WANTED TO SAY HI, AND THAT IM NEW TO THE SITE. A FRIEND ACTUALLY TOLD ME ABOUT IT. I JUST GOT MY MDA, IT SEEMS CONFUSING. ..I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO ANYTHING ON IT, I WANT TO DOWNLOAD MUSIC VIDEOS AND SET AS RINGERS, I WANT TO ADD THE MARSWARE WEATHER ON IT, I WANT TO HAVE IT ALL SET UP, AND I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO USE THE DAMN THING.... CAN I PLEASE GET SOME HELP AND TIPS ON HOW TO DO SO..

Thats better :lol: You will need activsync installed on your pc/laptop for starters available from microsoft or do a google for it.follow the installation instructions and it will set itself up with your Wizzard.Then basically install your mars weather and other software you care to have and it will install via the Activsync utility.For music videos/dvds/films etc download Divxencoder onto your pc and use it to encode whatever to a ppc compatable size.Then you can view these on your ppc with tcpmp you will find all these freely available by searching on this forum or via google and such.I hope this gets you started you will soon get the hang of it all. There are nice people on here who will help you if they can as long as you d'ont shout at them. :wink:

Hello everyone.
Just got a TyTn. Quite a change from my old K800, but im sure i'll adjust.
Ive been reading around here for a few weeks now in antisipation of my TyTn arriving. So know a few things already, like the highly rated 'batti' battery app.
I have a few questions about it though that i cant find definate answers on:
- Is it possible to have custom ringtones for each contact?
- How do i close programs? As at the moment they just seem to minimise, and the only way i can find to actually close them is through the memory app in settings.
- How do i install the today screen app called 'Launcher' its not a cab file like the rest of the programs ive installed.
- Is there a today screen plugin i can use to lock the phone when i press it?
- Some of my contacts are listed as 'elliot, fred' rarther than 'fred elliot'. How do i fix that?
- Is it possible to have full screen contact images? Ive got contact images setup for a few of my contacts, but they only ever show up as a tiny icon when opening a txt (havnt tryed incoming calls yet), is there a way to make it so that when i get a txt i get the picture instead of/extra to the standard popup?
- Emoticons. How/can i put them in txt messages? (actually view them, not the pure text equilivent.).

Ok I tried to help, but geez dude. I think this forum may be a little advanced for you. There are plenty of other websites and forums that can help you with these questions. Before you post any more questions:
1. Read The Windows Mobile Manual
2. Learn how to use the search function
3. Spend a little more time reading
4. Read a little more.
5. Come back and post questions when you ACTUALLY have a phone. THis way you can try to figure things out on the phone before you start asking questions.

In file explorer, go to My Device. Then delete the sites folder and keep the sites.clean folder.
If this does not work, then edit the html or simply disregard the unwanted links... it is a conscious choice.

^^do this then you have to rename the site.clean to just sites and itll work

maybe we can balance this thread by adding new sites that work with the bundl

ok but i have no clue on how to do this kind of stuff as im still learning this kind of thing. almost went crazy updating to the new rom so any help would be greatly appreciated.

First get yourself Total Commander. It's a free registry tool. However you can browse exactly as I posted earlier with file explorer which is in the
Today Screen-->Start-->Programs-->File Explorer.
Once in File Explorer, click on the top left icon under "File Explorer" and highlight to "My Device"
Under "My Device" you will see a few folders and one is named "Programs Files". Click on it.
Scroll down to a folder called "TCPMP". Click on it. Inside the folder are (2) folders in the top: "sites" & "sites.clean". Delete the "sites" folder and rename "sites.clean" to "sites".
You should now get no more nasties on your video bookmark...

I see your new here and have a desire to help, people like me that aren't to smart in this whole editing thing really need instructions like XweaponX put out there step-by-step. so if'n ya want to help we appreciate it, but please do it so we dumb dumbs can understand it

The flash video bundle comes with two HTML files full of links
One is "Video Sites", the other is "Video Sites Clean".
You should opt for the clean one. Alternatively, you could edit out the sites from the other one.

Wing Processor upgrade programs??

Hi all,
I have been surfing around the forum for a couple of days now and am completely overloaded with all the amazing information available here. I have a Wing that I love (with the exception of the slow speed and the low program memory, of course) and I have been reading all about the different downloads that people have created for changing the page pool (a term I just learned) and over-clocking (again a new word) the processor, and to be honest, with my level of experience with this unit, I am scared.
I am hoping that someone could direct me to a program that I could buy (yes I am willing to pay for it) that would quickly, safely and without configuration from me, allow me to change the processor speed and the page pool. Does such a think exist? I really don't know enough to try doing this on my own.
Also, somewhere on one of these forums, I read a post from someone a couple of days ago saying that T-Mobile was going to be issuing a new update for the Wing - does anyone know anything about that. I keep checking on their page http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/ but it's not shown up yet.
Any help would be appreciated.

ok, here is what to do to change the pagepool in 2steps
1)install aserg's policies on your device(copy the cab on the device and execute it from the file explorer)
2)make sure that you are connected to actiesync and run the batch file on the PC then(extract the archive first)
soft reset.

Ummm, plug in ur phone, make sure its connected, and then open the pagepool folder and click the one that has a 6 in the file name.....its really not hard, Im pretty sure my dog could figure it out. Dont be afraid to try things. You'll surprise yourself with how much your capable of.

Where is the pagepool folder? I looked in File Explorer and even searched for it by name.... Could I borrow your dog?

Follow the post he gave you. It will have a file you download. It's a compressed folder. Uncompress it. THAT is the pagepool folder.

The page pool hack is alot easier than your making it seem. Even if you screw it up, the pagepool just isnt gonna work and your gonna have to start over.
1.Install the ITSUTILS_Preperation cab. (either put it on your wing thru activesync or memory card, once its in the phone just click the file for install).
2. Soft reset after the install (stylus push on small hole, right side of wing)
3. Connect the wing to the pc thru activesync.
4. From your PC double click the backup file.
5. From your PC double click the 6mb pool file. (a black dos screen will scroll a few lines of text and disapper, if no lines of text scroll you have not followed every step...hard reset and try again)
Thats step for step, easy as seducing a hooker instructions.
Hopefully you can figure out batterysatus, if not msg me and ill help you out. Anytime things seem to complex its best to read the post numerous times. Things will start to make sense, and after that if your still haveing problems there are lots of really helpful people on this site.

I would do a power cycle instead of a soft reset to make sure your savings got saved.
Power cycle = holding the power down until it asks you to shut down, then shutting down.

Ive never noticed this, but does a soft reset have a tendency to not save settings Ivan?

Thank you one and all for your patience with me. I did it! I changed my page pool to 6 using the program you recommended and it worked just great. I have between 8-11 MB's left after start up. The only thing I am running is Contact Photo Pro. I don't know if it's a system resource hog or not, but I wanted a program that would allow me to customize separate tones for sms messages and caller tunes for my contacts, and also to have profiles where I can silence just the sms messages and allow phone calls during the night. There might be a better program out there but since I'm still such a newbie, I downloaded what I Could find first.
Again, thanks again for your help. I don't think I am going to overclock yet, as that seems scarier but for now my Wing is running better, and I can take a picture without getting a low memory error!

If done quickly enough, yes. I used to do it all the time...

When i first got my diamond it was in the first lot of things i installed.
Also couldnt control it so it got uninstalled

There was a .cfg file uploaded by someone to make proper use of the Diamond buttons. Maybe give it a search in the Diam subforums? Also, next time search before opening a new topic, just some advice.

there is a thread running in the ELF section that speaks about how to go about configuring the .cfg file. IM way too lazy to search it though.

Here is your dream : Vol- to jump and Vol+ to backflip
Just unzip and put the file in the install dir

Here you go - It's working on my Diamond perfectly. Shoot with the main button. You can jump with vol+ and of course directions are set on d-pad

How do you install an .exe file on the diamond? I have only been able to install .cab files?

Install it on PC while phone is connected with Active Sync!

Sorry Im new here, i installed the game and as far as i see it seems you know how to play this game i feel stupid asking this, how do you aim up and down and move right or left? im dowloaded the zip and all i need, and the other habilites it has works perfectly the back flip jump and that, but it seems i miss amiming and changing direction

I want one for my HTC touch pocket pc.

could do with a new download link for a working copy of worms and a quick guide on how to install and get working along with that other file also

Left bottom part of the screen above the timer there should be a MENU titled button. Click on it, than on Quit.

I installed it on my Diamond's internal memory...not on the Program Files on the main memory. Could this be it??
