Not sure about Nrg Rom but usually its in settings/Power advance tab
Look at backlight settings, you can select when screen sleep etc
If you cant find it ...post your question in NRG Rom thread

I do believe it takes a reg edit

Dialer and start menu from touch pro 2

I tried itje's 4.0rc3.1 and it is awsome. For me not ready for daily use though. Question, is there a cab for the new dialer (because it works flawlessly in landscape unlike the blackstone one). Also, can the new start menu be used without TF3D? Is there a cab for that, or does that come with TF3D 2? How about the youtube from the TP2? I am guessing/hoping that has landscape support.
bumping this up - have the same question A cab would be awesome

To answer my own question, it does come from TF3D. The programs tab from TF3D has become the new start menu. It is possible to revert to the old start menu and reinstate the programs tab. Also, if you disable TF3D, old start menu comes back.

So I would have to install the new TF3D(from Rhodium) to get this running, right?

Yes, install and you must enable it.
What about the dialer? Could that be available as a cab install for Xperia R2A stock ROM?
Does anyone know about any other way to set the start menu to display a bigger menu - easier to tap while driving - then the enlarged menu?
Thanks

need help with touchflo detatcher

im using tfdetacher 6.5 and the right softkey on the wm6.5 today screen says touchflo but when i goto touchflo, how do i set the right softkey to take me back to the 6.5 today screen?
In the tfdetacher config program. I believe it is in your start/programs by default.
its in my programs start menu but i click on it and it just takes me back to touchflo today screen, i wanna get my wm6.5 today screen
Try looking under settings, or a folder called system tools, or something like that. There should be a program called TFD Config somewhere in your Startmenu. You did install TFD and having it currently running right?
yes its installed and running but its real slow on switching over and sometimes the soft keys will start flashing and also i want to be able to use weatherpanel 2009 but cant seem to figure all this out. srry, im such a noob..lol
Dunno what to say man. It works flawlessly on my Vogue. Maybe you have too many programs running and are low on RAM. Sorry I don't have any other tips.
ok, what version of touchflo detatcher do you use on your vogue and also, could you post your screenshots of all the settings that i need to do to make it work and to make weatherpanel 2009 be incorarated in that as well. i do have 2nd today installed just havnt set it up yet
ok, i've set the softkeys correctly in tfconfig and they still dont respond. is there something i need to do to the registry to get tfdetacher to work right on my vogue using NFSFAN'S V12 6.5 ROM
ok, i fixed my issue except im not using tfdetacher, instead i downloaded and installed Manila Control v1.0, went to config and selected manila 2d which fixed the right softkey on my touchflo today screen but not on the 6.5 side so i then got into my registry and changed these variables:
1. goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CClock
2.change SK2TEXT from "Set" to "TF2D." (no quote)
3.change SK2URL from ":MSCLOCK;AppRunToHandleNotification" to ":M2D_Ctrl" (no quote)
4. do a soft reset and everything works great
now all i need to do is figure out how to incorporate Weatherpanel 2009 in this equation, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Switch to the Windows 6.5 Start Menu

Anyone know how to switch back to the original windows 6.5 start menu? I want to give it a try with touch flo.
I also wouldn't mind being able to do this. I like TouchFlo, but I like the standard Start menu much much better.
Go to settings, all settings, today settings and change it there.

No, we said we want to keep TouchFlo, but go back to the standard 6.5 start menu. Nothing in Today Settings would do that.
same here i also would like to have the classic apps page back for touch flow anyone know how to make this happen?
Touch Flo overrides the standard WM 6.5 interface, you have to select one or the other. Going in to the today settings and selecting Windows Default you can see that it forces to uncheck touch flo.
There could be a reg edit somewhere to disable it... Hopefuly
I am not sure if it works with this phone, but I allays use a cab that was released with the Manila 2.1 VGA ports that disables the HTC Start menu. I will be trying for myself when my phone arrives on Tuesday.
here you go....
verified to work on the imagio.

You sir, are a GOD! This worked perfectly, except when I soft-reset, it started TouchFlo, but just displayed a blank today screen with my background until I hit the start button. But I never shut off my phone, so thanks, this is great!
LOL. i got this back when juicy was making his first manila 2.1 rom.
i think it is actually from xboxmod's original 2.1 port thread.
anyway it works great for me and doesn't cause any problems.
can we customized the touch flo menu? i want to remove the weather & map serach icon.
Switch to Win 6.5 start menu
Works great, thanks alot!!!!!

Settings link to standard Windows settings screen

When HTC Sense is enabled the "settings" link in the program screen is linked to the settings tab/pane in HTC Sense. When Sense is turned off in the Today-settings, the same link points to the standard setting screen of windows mobile.
What I want is to make the "settings" link in the program screen to point directly to the standard windows settings (used to be "control panel), or better yet: a standalone HTC settings app then can run outside the Sense environment.
Why? I want to turn of the settings tab in the HTC Sense interface. Something that easily can be done by editing the registry. This way I can manage to minimalize the amount of tabs to 5. Just enough to prevent the disorienting scrolling to the left and the right when selecting a tab.
Can it be done? Is there an easy way to open the windows settings screen while Sense is enabled?
Thanks
You should try BsB Tweaks, one of it's options does just that.
Find it here:

Is there a way how to set it through registry instead of installing a special app on that? Thanks

Thank you!!!! Just what i was looking for....
For who wants to know:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Configuration\12
Setting Enable to 0 hides the Settings panel in Sense.

BsB Tweaks does much more than just this.....Just check out the page and you will find that BsB Tweaks is a MUST HAVE App
Besides lots of tweaks it also makes it easy for you to Add Rotation for programs that do not automatically rotate, and/or add Pinch-to-zoom for programs that by themselves do not support pinch-to-zoom.
If you don't want to install the app, you could ask makeveral how he does the settings Tweak (I wouldn't know).
Pappagallo: Ok, thanks for tip.

Set this to zero:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo:HideSettings
and reset.
But there will be two identical icons for Settings after this. You can delete settings.lnk from the Start Menu to get rid of the HTC Settings.

That's fantastic. Now do you have any idea how to create a quicklink to the new windows settings? Can't find it for the life of me...
yes. noob here. All the *setting*.ink's i can find lead back to the sense settings, or handle different/specific settings entirely.

TMOBILE HTC HD2. How to remove time

OK.
Stock rom the time was not there. But I unlocked my phone and installed kumars rom and now the time is showing on the taskbar.
Is there anyway to remove it? I prefer to have task manager there.

Hi, sorry, do you mean taskbar or the title bar (top each screen). The option for title bar option is available in the stock ROM (although I think its disabled by default). Information on your cooked ROM can be found in the ROM Development forum. If it is the title bar the settings might be the same as stock which is settings/menu/all settings/clock and alarms/more and then there the option for "display the clock on the title bar in all prgrams".

That, i don't know.. maybe it depends on your rom.
Try doing a search if there is a registry hack on this.
kumars HD2 ROM - Alarm & Clocks more tab gone
I also have same issue. The option is not under kumars rom but is in stock rom under settings/all settings/clock & alarms/more: Display the clock on the title bar in all programs.
I want to use the top corner to install the old task manager with X. There has to be a reg key somewhere to remove the clock. Any help pls?
my current rom, along with some other roms I have tried that have task managers installed, show the clock in top right, but tapping the clock performs the task manager functions.press and hold to close, tap to bringup running programs, and what not.
I tapped the clock and it brings Notifications and shows 3 options. 1 link to comm manager. 2. Link to battery. 3. Link to task manager. ok i can click task manager and see all running progs and end task them. However the old task manager with the quick list is much quicker as u just click once and X out of any program u want or swith to the program on the fly.
Try installing Advanced Config, going to the Today menu and changing "Show on title bar" to Battery?
Tried Advanced Config but only options are show battery or show clock and neither seem to help.
HKLM/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/SHELL/TASKBAR
Limited Clock = 1
To make the battery appear instead, after changing the value of Limited Clock, change the value of ConsistentClockOrBattery to 1
Soft Reset.
Didnt work for me.
Are you using a 6.5.x ROM? (Start menu button at bottom etc) Now thinkin back at my history of ROMs with 6.5.x I don't think you can turn it off.
But since it shows both battery and time I love it
Have you tried posting your problem on Kumars thread? He is very helpful when it comes to tweaking things on his own ROMS.
Thanks for the tip. I think someone asked him but I couldn't find his answer. I will post there.
I'm using Kumar_s_Tmob_Premium_V1.5_MSVC-2 Rom.
