I've just run into a problem with my Touch HD and would appreciate your help.
I went into Settings to change the screen brightness, but...the icon is no longer there ! Any ideas where it's gone, or how I can get it back again ? Thanks.

You mean the POWER icon? (for battery and backlight etc)
Do you have a standard ROM?

ok...what phone, what chip (Gx), what ROM, etc, etc... and "fade out" what exactly do you mean? Are you using a specific app. and it fades to black? switches to black? You need to provide more (read: useful) information.

I think i have a similar problem, where the backlight sets itself to 0, it doesnt happen that often though, i just go into the backlight settings and increase it back to full

What is the darkest possible backlight option ? I often read at night. Also, is backlight easily changed ? On WM 6.1 you simply click on battery.

you still can click on the battery to change light settings:
start - settings - menu - more -system - battery. There you can change the settings.
I disabled automatic light setting and have it on 40% - suits me well.
BTW: Clicking on the notification bar doesn't do the battery/light job.
So changing backlight takes 6 clicks !?
Anyway I still wonder what is the minimum level in total darkness .. I worry if it is not too strong. I want it to be pleasant to watch in total darkness for longer time.
I use it as a GPS and driving with it at night with automatic blacklight is fine. With my Touch Cruise i always set the blacklight to minimum but with this one I don't seem to need it, even thought it only goes down to 20%
That would remove the need of going into settings ! Thanks for info.
you can set it manually to 10% (and probably even lower with registry tweaks/changes)
Hi All
Over the weekend when i tapped on the battery icon instead of a screen similar to the volume control screen showing the current Internet connection and the battery level it takes me to the battery and backlight screen.
I never made any changes to the phone so I am wondering where this screen has went and how to get it back.
I had a look for a screenshot showing what i used to have but I can't locate one - sorry the description isn't the best.
Any advice appreciated
These 5 buttons at the bottom, are dark. They are never illuminated.
I already installed this ROM about a month ago. But now it began to bug me lately.
Is there anyone experienced this before? or can anybody with that?

it will turn light on when night or dark..
and it will turn light off when daylight.

just go to the settings and then display select auto brightness and then tap ok after that lock the phone then press the power button to unlock it the buttons will light up and than u can change the brightnes from auto to ur desire choice

it's not turning on in any condition... it's always off.
i tried, all the display settings, but nothing's working.

it's munjeni 4.0.4...
it's really good other than that small issue.
Seems that is unknown thing? the only I can say try WM6.5 ROM.. to see that is works, or maybe your phone's lights are dead

Same problem here... when i am going to settings and set it on manual and then the lights are illuminated.. untill i lock the screen en when i unlock it the light wont light up... so maybe it is a bug in the rom... so my experiene is that it does not matter if u set it to auto/manual ... it just does not work like it should be ..
My display will dim down to half of the brightness it was set at and will not brighten back up. To get it to brighten back up I either have to turn the display off and back on or touch the brightness slider. Any ideas on how to get this to stop? Display is set to standard, Adapt display is unchecked. Everything is turn off with Smart Screen. Auto Brightness is unchecked. I am running NC2
This is super annoying!
Happens to me too. I also am not able to turn off or restart my phone. It gets to a point where the menu button and back button are lit up and the blue led is lit at the top with a black screen but stays that way until i do a battery pull. All this started after going to nc2. Tried different roms and didnt change a thing.

I have tried this and the same thing happens.
Same thing's happening to me too! So irritating!
Just trying to get this back on the first page...looking for a solution.
Also, a correction...actually I'm on NC4 and I have the exact same problem.
Please help us peoples!
