You can DL an application that will show the wireless plugin on the Today screen, although you can edit the registry to enable it, I can't find the site with the edit.
rlToday could probably do this in conjunction with MortScript fairly easily...

HELP! I've lost some indicators!

I've lost some indicators!
The sound/volume indicator and the battery indicator appear to be blocked by some blue bar the same colour as the Start bar. It seems to be on top of the indicators. If I click where the indicators are, they work, but still remain hidden. It also covers half of my signal indicator.
I am not running any tweaks and have not changed the ROM either. Software is nothing more unusual than a few commercial games and Opera mobile. Nothing fishy there.
I have tried changing the orientation of the screen, but it's the same problem. It also happens away from the Today screen. Even in the messaging app.
Help! Please!

Battery Notification

Previously on another firmware aside I9000XWJG5, there was this battery Notification displayed when the phone runs low. And also when the phone is fully charged.
Now since changing to I9000XWJG5, those above mention notifications are gone.
I was wondering, is there any way to enable them back?
Gone thru settings but no where to be found that enables them back.
Thanks in advance..

[Q] Wi-Fi problem - No root, original rom

Hello,
First of all, I have never rooted my cell phone, so I guess I am still using the original ROM? I have no idea how to change a ROM, how to root a cellphone, or how to even see what mine is, just so you know. This is why I created a new thread, the other ones solutions always reffered to "change your Rom" etc.
I currently possess a HTC/T-Mobile MyTouch 4G. The issue that I'm having is the following: Everytime I try to turn my Wi-Fi on, it takes a little while, turns on for a couple seconds and then turns itself off, without any command. And it keeps going on this cycle: turning on and off (it is so fast that it cannot even recognize any saved networks, and the wifi icon does not even show up in the upper bar), until I rapidly and manually click, when it is "on", to turn off. Then it stops the cycle, with the WiFi turned off. This means that I cannot use my wireless connection, and it has been lasting for more than 2 months by now. I can access 3G normally. I have tried to "soft format" the cellphone, but it has changed nothing. (By soft format, I mean the format option included on the phone. It formatted everything, deleted my contacts, apps, themes, configurations and etc, but it was made from within the phone). Also, when it is "on", and when I click in the "Wi-Fi settings" bar, it shows nothing and it freezes the phone for a while, some seconds. Then it turns to the "off" state and returns me to the previous page automatically.
The problem aparently appeared from nowhere, I have not made a single change in anything other than installing applications. I have had an issue regarding its battery, though, which made me substitute the battery. The problem also seemed to appear with the battery issue, but it is still occuring, even though I have substituted the battery.
I thank you very much in advance, and look forward for help and a solution.
Best regards.

My First android phone was a Motorola MB200. The WiFi never worked. Tried soft reset, flashing the stock Firmware via Pc and using wifi fixing appsbut it never worked.
Until i rooted and flashed cyanogenmod.
The Wifi miraclously started working.
Until now, i dont know why the stock rom couldnt fix that issue.
To cut things short, you could give rooting a try and it might fix your issue.

Navigation bar buttons as text

So this is what happened yesterday.
The battery was almost empty. I could get the message that the phone will shut down automatically. That empty. Then I wanted charge the phone, but when i putted the usb into the phone ,the phone shut down immediately.
After charging it up for a while I started the phone up again and since then the navigation bar buttons are showing as text in stead of circle and square. See the enclosed picture. I have no idea how to get it back. See the enclosed picture for the screenshot. It seems like the pictures are removed or something.
My phone is not rooted. Any ideas how to check what happened and get it back to circle and square without root?

That is very strange indeed.
Have you tried changing / experimenting with the settings for this feature?
Try it in Settings > Smart assistance > Navigation bar
Also, completely shutdown & reboot the phone a few times (not restarts).
If nothing helps, you may need to try a hard reset - but only do as a last resort & after a thorough backup.

Solved!
Changing the buttons in smart assistance > navitation bar didn't help. The buttons change from position but the text stays.
Reboot or shutdown and reboot didnt help either, BUT doing this after cleaning the cached data solved the problem.
Thanks! Now I don't have to hard reset.
hi..try to change the teme....you have installed a complete theme..and this cud changed the nav bar
