proxy config APP ?

Anybody know some application that can configure proxy (use ou not) in each connection?
I use proxy for GSM data connection to work remotly (work network), but when connect by WiFi or GPRS I don't use proxy and have to enter configuration connections to disable...
Can I assign proxy settings to each connection?

i had the same problem as well, do a search for proxy and you'll find it, also go to start>help and search proxy and it will tell you there.

But, do you know any software that can do it???
I know configure proxy any time but i want an app that can do it for me (in each connection)!

Change which network each connection uses (ie work, internet - make more of your own) then each one can have different proxy settings.

Settings, connections, connections, advanced, select network, NEW "make profile for WIFI use eg wifi"
Settings, connections, network cards, select AP, "connects to" wifi
steeings, connections, connections, tasks - edit porxy for "wifi"

Ok, this thread is a little old, but it is close to what I am looking at.
I just got my bill from O2 and I have been charged £1.50 for "GPRS data" although I think it is actually MMS messages being sent or received by GPRS. I am guessing this is because it is set up incorrectly by me.
I did have it set to collect MMS over the "mobile.o2.co.uk" settings (as opposed to the "wap.o2.co.uk" settings) and wifi could be enabled, but if I tried to use the browser without enabling wifi it automatically dialled the GPRS connection.
Could someone give me an idea on how to set it so that
A) MMS messages only count as MMS messages and are sent and received by GPRS.
B) WiFi is the preferred connection for everything else.
C) GPRS is available if WiFi is not available (and preferably after getting confirmation from the user), ie I dont have to find the settings and re-enter them.
I realise this is probably not possible, but any help and/or pointers are appreciated.

IPsec VPN on Smartphone (Bluefire VPN)

I have a HTC S710, and does anyone know how I can use IPsec VPN? I've got Bluefire VPN wich supports it, but when I try to connect it says
"The Connection Settings do not allow a VPN connection to be established. The device may be configured to use the same network for both The Internet and Work. Please verify the Connection Settings and try again (-71)"
Ive looked all over for this sort of settings, but havent been able to find any. Anyone to help?

under wm6, have a look at settings - connections - connections - advanced - select networks
the settings for internet and private network must be different
for internet, i have "my isp", for private network "my work network"
with these settings, bluefire works in my university vpn network

there should be two headlines, "my ISP" and "my work connection", these are built in
"advanced" is a tab at the bottom of the page

mini opera on EDGE

how do you get mini opera to work on edge? i have that work on mu old sony k850i but i can't get it work on x1.

i just downloaded opera mini and i got it to work. i'm on tmobile usa as well. have you checked your connection settings?

there are 2 things i can think of that would help. first check your network settings. if they aren't configured:
start> settings> connections tab> connections> advanced tab> select networks> edit
in the modem tab, click edit again and change your access point name to epc.tmobile.com and leave user, pass, and domain blank.
next go under the proxy settings and put a check in the 'this connects to the internet' box and leave 'this network uses a proxy...' box blank.
if this still doesn't work
start> programs> java> menu> network parameters
and select the connection you just set up from the drop-down box.
hope this helps

oh almost forgot... your device may need a soft reset after you configure your new connection

i have:
t mobile mms
t mobile data
my work network
my ISP

what i've done was create one named 't-zones' since that's how it was on my n95. i have tzones selected in both boxes under the advance tab.

well.. my place doesn;t really have 3G network so i use t zone to push my gmail on my old k850i.

well, if you already have your gmail setup on your mobile:
start> messaging> menu> tools> options
click on your gmail account and then 'edit account setup' and click next 4 times until you come to a screen that says 'outgoing (smtp) mail server' and then click 'advanced server settings at the bottom. and then just select the connection you set up earlier

one more q. do you sign up data plan?

i only have the cheap t-zones addon. it was like 5.99 a month at the time... and i live in chattanooga so i couldn't use 3g even if i could afford it. atleast i have edge though

i don't use hotmail but i suppose if it's like gmail then it should work

Proxy settings

I am using a WM6.1 and I cant connect on the wireless connection in my university. The reason for that is inorder to connect on that university network, I need to make the WM to autodetect the proxy settings. Or atleast manually write them.
Excuse my lack of information on the matter, but inorder to log on the network using my laptop for example, I had to check the autodetect proxy settings in my browser, and then it asked me for a password and a user name every time I try to surf the net. How to do that using my PPC?

go inte settings > connections tab > connections then under my work network press the set up my proxy server link and from there you should be able to enter all the details you need similarly to your uni's settings.

fixed, just had to untick the proxy settings

This is how to connect to proxy wifi (WM 6.1).

Many people have struggled to connect to wifi using proxy. I also used to struggle. But now I have found a very simple way. It works 100% of the time. Here is the procedure.
How to set up proxy Wifi
------------------------
Go to Settings->Connections->Connections
Click on Advanced tab
Click Select Networks
Click New
Enter Name "Wifi With Proxy"
Click Advanced
Select "This network connects to the internet"
Select "This network uses a proxy
Select Advance
Put your proxy setting here.
How to set up non-proxy Wifi
----------------------------
Go to Settings->Connections->Connections
Click on Advanced tab
Click Select Networks
Click New
Enter Name "Wifi Without Proxy"
Click Advanced
Select "This network connects to the internet"
UnSelect "This network uses a proxy
Connect to wifi using Proxy.
----------------------------
Disable Wifi
Go to Settings->Connections->Connections
Click on Advanced tab
Click Select Networks
Select "Wifi With Proxy" for both Internet and Private.
Click Ok
Click Ok
Enable Wifi
It is important that you disable wifi, then select n/w and then enable wifi.
Connect to wifi without Proxy i.e direct wifi.

Every time you switch from proxy to non proxy, you will have to do steps of "Connect to wifi without Proxy i.e direct wifi." manually (unless someone can write a mort sscript or some thing, if one does, then please PM me).
Everytime you switch from proxy to non-proxy, you will have to do steps of "Connect to wifi using Proxy" manually.

Didn't work for me and I don't know what's the problem. When I put my proxy settings into Opera directly via opera:config, it works flawlessly. When I use your method (and I follow the steps exactly), it doesn't.

That's a wrong place to ask your question, buddy... If that's a custom ROM you are using on your device and there is no Wi-Fi, you should ask the ROM cook (the person who posted the ROM) in the thread you downloaded it from. Or try the dedicated forum part for your device here.
