Hey ive been searching ALOT but couldnt find anything,
so i was wondering since the only real reason i dont use titanium at all is the new contact card in tf3d2, and the messaging with avatars, i like it so much!
so is there any possibility to use the new contact card from tf3d2 on titanium? like a plugin or something? or is there any other sms app that kinda looks like that? i know theres that smiley sms thingy, but it looks like **** and doesnt use avatars!
so yeah. would be coolest to be able to integrate the tf3d2 contactcard/messaging thingy to titanium, since i think tf3d2 use to much ram on my diamond
hope someone can help me out a bit!

I had this working on my mine, but shifted to UL which is pretty awesome
same here ultimate launcher is brilliant. ive installed vito sms-chat and vito fun contacts too so its rare i see the hideous wm shell now

vito sms chat, how is it for you? I liked it but it created a new SMSfolder which I didnt like and SMS notifications wouldnt work anymore. On vito Quick contact, can you still pop out the software touch keypad? I mean I know we have the hardware slide out keypad but sometimes I like just using the touch screen.
sms-chat is fantastic. although you dont recieve the normal text alerts you should still hear your sms tone and a little semi-transparent window pops up in the centre of the screen with the sms info. In my opinion it is a lot better than the normal wm sms and even better still than the threaded sms in wm6.1.
Fun contacts works in such a way that you dont need to use the keyboard unless you are editing contact info and ive just confirmed for you that you can use the software keyboard as well as the hardware keyboard for this.

I would like to have a tab inside the TF3D on my HTC Touch Diamond, one with Skype and another one with Messenger. Have someone developed this?

Yes but in fact for that you will have the program tabs... you put links you want in it. The best would be to be able to add all tabs we want as a simple link in TF3D for an app

I'm looking for a app that makes it possible to put some favourite contacts on your todayscreen.
I saw it with the HTC of a friend of mine, and I would like to know if it's possible for the diamond too.

Is it possible (or been explored) to have the TF3D from the HD etc on our polaris without the 3D aspect. I like the look of the tabs and there shortcuts but don't want the 3D driver problems.

TF3D without the 3D is well....TF2D...lol
All the latest roms have it, it isnt exactly the same as TF3D, the "people" tab is different and we dont have a stocks tab but its as close as we are going to get.
I think should be a nice idea to have the slide of the picture tabs like the one in footprint. the same animation could be made on contacts (but I preferr the current version)

Its all the little shortcuts on the contacts tabs etc, and the calender tab that interest me, the flippy bits not so much. Basically moving away from anything to do with the bog standard WM appications that are touch unfriendly (i know third party software is out there

Have you looked at Throttle Launcher? Works fine and has many skins. Might be worth checking out?

Only used it for a while and not for some time - went back to Manilla 2D cos I like it better. Another one you might want to look at is PointUI. Now I was playing with that just the other day and that's got some kinda cool elements in it and not slow at all.
I guess there's no perfect solution, except the one that suits you best.

since using sense as Homescreen i was alway mad about these "modern" messaging clients (the odd manila texting that doesnt even count charakters & the slow HTC messaging client as u have on the LEO)
for now ma rom (valkyrie 5.4) has the ability to use the classic texting (via start -> text) and the "modern" manila texting via sense-> textTab -> click on message)
Even by tabbing "all messages" i end up in the classic wm-message listing.. (and thats nearly what i want)...
Is there kinda fix, that tabbing on a message would bring me to the classic WM -view (the coloured one)? I remember there was a manila file in sense 2.1 you just could replace and it worked..
but for now i need it for sense 2.5 (landscape ability).
Hope you can get my point.

this patch only discribes how to enabel WM classic messaging.
By point is that i want to change the behaviour when tabbing on a message in the messaging tab of sense 2.5.
even with this patch above i end up in the htc contacts menu/sms tab.
and THATS what i want to be the classic WM interface.
as i mentioned, it worked somehow with a fixed manila file in 2.1 ....

Look for the cab that includes Zenyee's tweak
It is a mod that install the messaging client from sense 2.1 to sense 2.5
This sense 2.1 sms client loads MUCH faster than the one in 2.5, looks way better than the WM sms client, and shows character counts
When you tab on All message it brings you to the classic wm sms interface
Granted it is still not perfect...but it works very well imo
