Battery Charging Problem

Hi All
I've had a search around on the forums for an answer to this, but have not so far been successfull.
I was experiencing the battery blackout problem like a lot of folks out there and decided to replace the battery. My new battery (from batteryupgrade.com), works well and cured the blackout problem. However, it will only charge to 85%, now, i'm assuming this is a mis-quote and that the battery is in fact charging to 100% but not reporting correctly. I contacted the battery supplier who have offered me a replacement, but also also suggested i "upgrade" my power management software. Is this an easy thing to do and if so, how do i go about doing it ?

qtek s200 turns off at 30%

hi
i have a little problem my s200 turns off at 30% battery without warning... always at 30%, tried the battery in other gsm and it worked till 0%..
im on WM5 original, but i upgraded to WM6 and the same problem... now im back on WM5 with same problem again.. tried some battery apps like batti to change the shutdown % but no luck..
help!

Same problem with my qtek s200, WM 6.1 Korand WWE 3.1

I used to have the same problem...after getting a new battery, things seem to work fine....I think it's the battery's aging...after using and recharging for many cycles..after a few years...

S200 is 6 months old, and it starterd to do this afer installing WM 6.1..
donno where to set this turnoff level ?

Mine will also turn off @ 30%. But, it only does this when you use the WiFi.

I had problems with charging my M600. It would also turn of, even when being charged, but not at 30%. It would normally charge to 100% and then turn of and only show the red light....
Looking for sollution, I overlooked the fact that the SDCard was still in it. So I took the SDCard out and now my M600 is working again.

Try changing or re calibrating the battery.
Taken from the Universal WiKi (should work on the Prophet)
Charge the battery overnight with the supplied poweradapter, not with the USB cable
Drain the battery without SD-card, powersaving off and backlight on full
At some level, the device will turn off. Switch it on and go to the bootloader and drain the battery until it's really empty
Charge the battery again with the supplied poweradapter

imate jasjam battery discharging rapidly

hi
i have a imate jas jam the problem is the battery discharges rapidly while making a call or playing music but stays on stand by for a day or two. the battery discharges and charges in incriment 10% that is during charging 10,20, 30 etc and during discharging 90,80,70 etc.
i did a rom upgrade from official site and also changed battery still no luck.
any solution guys

I found the battery always did discharge rapidly when being used. To fix the 10% increments it would be a good idea to flash a cooked rom BUT make sure you have installed Hard SPL 1st...
Might not discharge so quickly (or seem to) when going down in 1% increments...

hi gopalg73 i have the same probem but i asked u about ur upgrading was it wm6 from htc?? and after ur upgrade the tohchFlo did work or not

i flashed it with original rom from imate support and not cooked one,the battery hardly gives 10 to 20 minutes talktime,

How old is the battery? If you got the original one when the device came to market a few years back it would be on its last legs now.

haha yeah mine is 2 months away from a second birthday and about to be retired!
Battery lasts about 40 minutes just by using 3g connection and streaming AD2P at the same time and getting worse everyday.

cingular 8125 Battery life problem

I have a cingular 8125, ROM 2.25.11.1 WWE, Protocol Radio version 4.1.13.12, ExtROM version: 2.25.11.102 and CPU OMAP850.
After fully (100%) charged the battery, its life become shorter day after day, i.e not more 12 hours, without using Bluetooth, Wifi, Overclocking neither audio/video and vibration.
I'm asking if this is a battery problem or something's wrong in the software installed ?
Help is really appreciated .

Do you have the original battery?
I had the problem with the original battery that it was unable to hold the charge. E.g. the phone indicated a full battery and shut off within 5 minutes. This seams to be a problem related to the battery in the Cingular 8125. A lot of people are having trouble with this.
I bought a 3rd party battery and have no problems since.
Hope this helps.

If you didn't try a new battery yet it might be a rom issue. When I was running an early wm6 rom on my wizard the battery life seemed to be cut in half. I also have a cingular 8125.

Battery drain - Touch HD

I have XannyTECH rom installed Xtrom Leo 2.6 WWE

I am concerned that I am charging it constantly - every night I plug it into my AC charger. During the day I have it plugged into my laptop to recharge.
If I don't it will defintely run out daily.
I use the phone WIFI now and again daily for facebook, email etc.
I have data settings all to off.
I have power settings for screen dimming at 30 seconds, off after 1 min on battery and 1min dim on AC and 2 mins off on AC.
Does it look like my battery is on it's way out?
I have tbattery installed as default and can log the battery, although I do not know what I am looking at.
I always close applications after use via task manager.
Any help/thoughts appreciated - is this normal for Touch HD?
If it is a case of the ROM could be improved for better battery drain then I will change.

i've used many coocked ROMs, but everytime i wen't back to the original ROM's from HTC because of battery drain.
Then I read somewhere that when you use radio 1.17.25.09, you have to use Rilphone 1.15.25.14.cab.
I flashed BlackStonehenge with radio 1.17.25.09 but without Rilphone 1.15.25.14.cab
-> battery drain
Then I flashed BlackStonehenge with radio 1.17.25.09 and installed Rilphone 1.15.25.14.cab
-> no more battery drain!
Search the forum for 1.15.25.14.cab
It works perfect for me!

My phone lasts about 3-4 days with moderate use (which is more than you seem to be using yours based on your description). I recharge when it hits 15-20%. I'd say maybe you need a new battery, if you have already tried different radios.

I tried Rilphone 1.15.25.14.cab as an experiment and it ended up causing problems, phone hanging and not responding etc.
I have reflashed with various roms and some are draining quicker than other. I have gone back to Xtrom Leo 2.6 WWE and the battery seems to be lasting longer although I am charging it every night.
It is 38% now - 8 hours after being uplugged. Today's usage has been about 10 minutes phonecall and about 15 minutes WIFI this morning listening to Radio 1.
I've disabled 3G and always turn WIFI off etc.
I'll order a new battery and try it out, it wouldn't hurt to have a spare anyway

U better try Topix ROM with Radio 1.17.25.09....

Now using this:
- kwbr topix 3.6 WWE
- OS version 5.2.21901 (21901.5.0.92)
- Manilla 2.5.20121225.0
- Radio 1.17.25.09
with Rilphone1.15.25.14
This gave me again batterydrain!!!
Then I installed MMTaskManager1.8.100421
and made sure only these processes are running:
- nk.exe
- filesys.exe
- device.exe
- connmgr.exe
- JBlendDaemon.exe
Now no more batterydrain!
