DRM Error - Touch HD General

Hi there, I've downloaded some TV shows from iPlayer (on my main PC) and copied them to my HD. When I try and play them it tells me there is an error getting the DRM.
Anyone know how this can be fixed?
(Please note, this is not iPlayer on the HD issue, but a Windows Media Player and DRM issue, thanks)

videos recorded cannot play back on PC

ok, i have tried dozens of codec packs and cannot get videos recordrd from my hermes to play on my pc. i have found how to get the video but cannot get sound at all... can anyone point me to what i need? thanks in advance.
also i am running CRC's rom version 12r9. not quite sure how to find the camera software version though...
**edit**
here is a link to a test file i just created, somehow i need to find out how to play the sound..

i had success playing all mp4 files using quicktime
i had the exact same problem. any video i transferred to my pc would not play. quicktime would play 3gp files, but not mp4. no other software would play my mp4 files except for vlc player. i'm assuming it's an error in my windows installation or registry. i'm gonna transfer a couple vids to one of my laptops and see if they play on there. then i'll know whether or not it's due to my windows installation. if they play on laptop, i'll do a clean install of xp and see if they play.
Super will play them as well as the newest realplayer....
Hi
Why u not try Ultimate Media Pack or Classic Media Player? U can get this soft on www.9down.com
download quicktime OR download and install this then you can play the vids in wmp on your pc

I had the same problem, I just rename the video files from .mp4 to .3gp on my computer and it plays them just fine.

Digital copies from blu ray movies to hd2 possible??

alright as you all may know or not know, some blu ray movies come with digital copies of the movie and i was wondering if anyone successfully transfered them onto your hd2 and being able to watch them??
ive tried 2 movies already and both of them say "a digital rights management error has occurred"
on the windows phone site it says that our windows media player on the phones will play protected content but the above quote throws me off??
and on the movies themselves say that they can be transfered to any portal device that allows it..
has anyone gotten theirs to work and if you did what steps did you take??
please advise

You just need to encode them the same way you'd encode any movie(unless of course you use WMP to sync you media content, which won't work in this case and isn't really recommended for movies anyways as the quality is just awful) .
I myself use MeGui. You can of course use a different encoder if you find megui to be too complicated.
The basics are that you need to find the largest file in your STREAM folder on you Blu-Ray disc and encode that into a format the HD2 supports(h264 packed in an MP4/AVI container).
Then it's just a matter of moving the file over and enjoying it on your HD2.
Avatar encoded from the Blu-Ray disc looks simply phenomenal!
the hardware supports it but windos doesnot have suitable codecs ,may be wp7 or android port will help

HTC Connected Media

I noticed that the connected media app in the desire hd and desire z builds allow you to connect to a media pc and stream content. I have no problems in accessing music and pictures but cannot watch any videos. The only option I get when selecting a video is "my phone" and it seems that it may not have the built in codecs to play avi, wmv or mp4.
I have tried to install various video players (v-player) being one and this does not solve the issue.
Does anyone know of a way that you can view videos.
The source is a media center running windows 7 and various pc running vista. All have full media sharing capabilities activated.
Thanks
I was looking to do this in reverse, but anyways, found out I can stream video from my phone to my windows 7 media center.
I don't know if many are aware of this but the desire z and hd builds support dlna.
You have to go into wifi settings and hit the settings button (windows logo) and select advanced functions.
Scroll to the bottom of the list and select dlna auto-ip.
Once this is done, open a video on your phone and it should play in your media center or, most likely, windows 7 pc if dlna support is activated.
Now to figure out how to stream video to my phone and play movies
A bit more information in the engadget article on dlna streaming:

[Q] Does this device support Real Player - or Windows Media player?

I listen to some website hosted streaming content - that I can't download the file and convert - but Stream via Real Player and / or Windows Media Player
Will the Honeycomb tablets support this format - or is it a no go?
If not supported - can I use it as a remote desktop device and somehow stream it from my PC - to the Transformer tablet?
Thanks
The Norwegian national Brodcaster uses Windows Media Player on theyr websites for archived TV shows, is there noe way, settings apps or something that fixes so that I can view these?
All I get is a "leggo block" with a question mark on the sides.
