Perfect video convertion on HD2

I am going to convert all my videos to look as good as possible for when my HD2 arrives.
So could anyone help my fill out this chart of the best video format and properties:

Thanks! But can't you convert better videos on a HD2 with another converting software given that it has better hardware? If yes what will the concrete difference be in the convertion?
EDIT: I have tested the linked software and it returns far from perfect results. I have my own paid converter and would like to give it a try, but I am still not sure if it should be wmv, divx, mpg4(with h.264) or something totally different. I am unsure about the bitrate as well.

768x432, wmv, bitrate: 2364kbps, 29fps
and will it be a good idea to convert to 800x480 for better image quality nontheless?

I suppose that is bitrate (2364kbps) is werry high for smooth playback on HD. You must transcode your video with lower bitrate. Touch HD has no right video driver to force video decoding without use a CPU. This is a big problem.

Without owning the device and knowing what hardware acceleration it has and what drivers htc decided to buy for it this is all speculation. But if I were you, I wouldn't waste time converting anything yet. I think there is a strong chance that the HD2 will be able to handle that bit rate.

The best converting program is MeGUI
dont use other cheap looking programs, use the real one.

I did converted this video to fit in 640*480 because I wanted it to play in my ipod classic as well, but if you want it only play in your HD then set screen size to 480*800
if you have any question regarding MeGUI (The Best and Only One), ask here I will help you. and listen to my advice, if you want quality use MeGUI

Converted Video Audio Issues

When putting a video onto my Galaxy S Vibrant the video works but I have no audio. The audio works on my PC but not on my phone. I followed the below instructions after:
[HOWTO] Convert videos for Samsung Galaxy S using Handbreak.
but the audios still doesn't work. Instead of pure silence however it sounds like the audio is distorted and extremely slow sounding to the point where you cant make anything out. The following is the Audio format:

Doubt / Need Help regarding Video Recording FORMAT !!!

hi guys, whenever i try to record video with full HD settings, it records in 3GPP format... i have seen people here saying that they r recording video in their SGS2 in mp4 format...
i just want to know how to change the format from 3GPP to mp4... r they same ???
is there any problem with my phone ???
i am running lite pro 1.3 custom ROM rooted with CF root 3.7 flashed on top of it.
i see no option to change the format in the settings.... i am clueless... pls someone guide me in the right direction pls....

Under the settings page in the camera's video mode, change the video quality to superfine and that will get it to record in mp4.

ok i will do it. but what is ur phone saying when u record a video in superfine setting & when u see the details of that video ??? is it 3gpp or mp4 ? just asking out of curiosity...

These formats are related. It is just container formats, what is important is the codec used to compress the video. Check wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3GP_and_3G2
The 3GP and 3G2 file formats are both structurally based on the ISO base media file format defined in ISO/IEC 14496-12 - MPEG-4 Part 12,[8][9][10] but older versions of the 3GP file format did not use some of its features.[7] 3GP and 3G2 are container formats similar to MPEG-4 Part 14 (MP4), which is also based on MPEG-4 Part 12. The music video is playable with dice. There are a few seconds which are not smooth with [email protected], but it's okay.

Nice find. Playback seems to be better than with MX Video Player because it doesn't skip the audio track during harder to decode portions. I think this is due to the "frame drop" feature.
However, I have one huge problem that makes this app unusable to me, I cannot seek. When I try to seek it just goes right back to the beginning. Is anyone else having this problem or do I have something set wrong in options?

thanks to bringing this great player up, I'm using it now and I think it's better than moboplayer.

Haven't played too much with this yet but so far I like it a lot. It's also the only free player I have tried that sorts of the bottom bar like the stock player does.

GPU Video Playback issues - Screen shuttering and vertical lines (T585)

Hello everybody,
i have a new SM-T585 with Android 6.0.1 (EU) NON-Root and problems with some .ts videofiles from my TV-Headend-Setup.
When i try to play those files with H/W Accleration (MX-Player, BS Player, Kodi) i get vertical lines and screen shuttering (the whole screen with menue). When I try to play those files with SW-Mode the artifacts are gone but i have poor fps-performance.
My Honor 7 with H/W-Accleration has no problems with these files.
