Hello, my computer crashed whil i tryed to update ROM on HTC Herald. Now system is not loading, trying update it with ROM i have cause an error "Invalid Vendor ID". So i guess i need the correct ROM. Can somebody help me?
Btw, my device origin is italian. So i guess i need the italian ROM.
Or there is another way to update the ROM?

There is alreay A thread of someone who was looking for WM5 ITA ROM. But you will not find the original ROM on the internet. You could let someone make a dump for you, but you cannot use an RUU with a ROM dump. And since you have a brick, you can only access the bootloader. So you cannot flash your device. I suggest you wait for the official ROM from HTC, or send your device to HTC Repair Centre... I'm in the same situation (but i need the Dutch RUU) but i will wait for the official ROM!
i have htc p3300 and i upgrade rom but in the end my htc is dead it just display

Invalid vendor ID
This means your phone is locked for a particular country and the rom is not meant for that country.

Hello! I want to bring my XDA Terra brand O2 Ger in a normal Herald ITA, install the original rom of WM6 HTC. When I start the upgrade, the procedure begins, it stops showing the "ERROR 294 - INVALID VENDOR ID". What brought this error? Can I do anything to remove it and install WM6 original ITA?
