[THE][14-10-09][v2.0] Color TF3D

I must say I'm a fan of TF3D. But personally, the mono-color scheme is not much fun to look at. So, I searched the web for some free icons and made this. I thought I'd share it with the xda community. My first contribution.
(Don't bother with the poll, I've made my decision already.)
Instructions:
1. Install cab (recommended that previous versions of my theme be uninstalled first)
2. Disable and re-enable TF3D to see the changes. To see changes in the dialer, you'll need to soft-reset.
3. Sprint users, please install my "Color TF3D-Sprint Patch.cab" on top of whichever one of my theme's version you chose. This will add the 2 icons for Sprint TV and Nav. Please see screenshot here.
If don't like it, just uninstall. Soft-reset. Back to normal.
Verizon users, have a look here.
Sprint users, have a look here.
Most devices have black as the default font color for the clock on the Home tab. If yours does not, check here.
FAQ - please read before asking any questions I'll be ignoring all queries covered in the FAQ.
Tip: for improved performance, use CFC Compression. Info here.
Release history
I'd gladly take suggestions and requests. Let me know if you have icons you would like me to use or if you don't like a particular change I made. Together, we can make the perfect theme!
Color TF3D 1.5.cab - Normal
Color TF3D 1.5-no top.cab - Transparent top curtain
Color TF3D 1.5-no bottom.cab - Transparent bottom curtain
Color TF3D 1.5-no top and bottom.cab - Transparent top and bottom curtains (This is the one used in the screenshots)
Color TF3D-Sprint Patch.cab - install this on top of one of the above cabs for icons for Sprint TV and Nav
For those of you who have switched to the official WinMo 6.5 ROM released by HTC or if you have Manila v2.1 with the weather clock, please see here for version 2.0.
Users of Manila 2.0 or 2.1 without the weather clock should stick with version 1.5 of my theme.
AT&T Tilt 2 users should also stick with version 1.5 of my theme. I've not skinned the AT&T tab icon. If you want me to skin it, one of you will have to send me the corresponding manila files...
Further development on this has halted. But I'll still continue to try to support it. Here for details.

i presume you used cfc-gui to change icons, but i cant find the tab icons in my manla files...ive just the manila icon\off...

Yes, I used cfc-gui. The section under "manila\icon off" is "manila\icon preview". That's what you're looking for. If you don't see it, you probably didn't extract your full set of manila files.

Great job, but i've got the Vario5 and tmobile made their own icons and I'm not sure if this works on my version, did you test it?

thx...but...in "manila\icon preview" icons are 128x128 only...changing these icons i change the "active icons" on manila bar also?

The 64x64 icons in the "manila/icon off" section are the ones to amend for the tab selection bar.

Only tested on my unlocked UK Touch Pro2. So, don't know if it'll work for you. Suggest you to backup your manila files and test it. This way, you can always revert back if anything goes wrong.

I'd really like to try this out as it looks great but I'm a bit concerned because I would have no idea which Manila files to back up incase I wanted to change back. Will the cab now allow me to uninstall from the remove programs option and do I still need to turn of tf3d before installing it?

The tab isnt transparent, and the bottom is white below the tabs. help?

Going to be honest. I've not actually tried to uninstall the cab. But since the manila files are in ROM, a soft reset should restore them if you do uninstall the cab.
To answer your question on which manila files to backup, you can find the list in the xml file if you "unzip" the cab. Alternatively and probably easier would be to be just back up all of them.

Please check out the 1st post regarding the glass slider. Regarding the other problem, can you pls send me or post a screenshot? Don't know what you mean...

I probably wasn't being clear in the 1st post, so I apologize for any misunderstandings. The slider, clock, taskbar, and 1% battery driver are not included in my cab. You can get them if they suit your preference. The links to those threads are in the 1st post. I take no credit for them. 1st post is now amended to be more clear in this subject.
Btw, yes, they are indeed awesome...

Sorry, going to contradict myself here. I just tried to uninstall the cab. It works perfectly. No need to worry about screwing anything up if you install it and don't like it.

I've actually encountered the problem you described when I tried to install my cab onto my Diamond (which runs a ported version of TF3D2). The strange thing was, the problem mysteriously went away after a few minutes. All I can say is, try to disable and then enable TF3D. Or soft reset. If that doesn't work, try to install the cab again. Maybe the script accidently skipped a file…
I'm quite certain the cab works. Tested on my own TP2 purchased from UK and my friend's TP2 purchased from HK.

Hi guys,
Here's another one of my customisations I thought I'd share...
CAB file is uninstallable if you decide you don't like it.
Thanks to Bongsu3's tab from the SolarFlare theme

Icons have been updated to include stock, email & programs tabs.
Please note: The files for the stock tab are a bit illusive so I have only been able to update the slider icon. When on the stock tab or pressing it, the default stock tab shows. Sorry about this, I searched all over but was unable to find the manila files to change these

Unfortunately I don't know wich manila files needs changing for this... If you can send them to me, I'll gladly create a cab for you

the german o2-rom difference the options: "messenging" and "email".
so i think a icon for "email" is missing.
also a icon for "stock" is missing.
or: it do not work with the o2-rom

No it doesn't. This cab just overwrites the manila files with new icons

Looks like I've got something wonky going on here..... the slider, gorgeous and probably the best one I've ever seen, is positioned in front of the icons for some reason. Is there a registry setting or something to change so that it goes behind the icons where it should? Will try messing with some stuff, but WOW does this icon set really stand out - especially on the Energy ROM!!!

Hmm it shouldn't be doing that... It could perhaps be that you're running a custom ROM causing the problem. Are you using Manila 2.5?

Nope, M2.1..... I got it figured out, unfortunately had to use a transparent glass slider from another CAB, but MAN yours looked so much better! I'll keep messing with it..... thanks though, this is THE best icon pack!

How do I remove this cab, I installed it and now it won't uninstall. I may have to delete the files manually, is so where are they located?

Taskbar & softkeys

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. i am looking for a cab to make the taskbar and softkeys either all the way transparent or semi transparent. Also I tried downloading cabs for the taskbar icon and it totally flipped my phone out. I am using a stock ROM with CHT. It is kinda driving me bonkers. If not transparent but a beveled look would also work?! I am still kinda new but this is not my first ball!

Which taskbar icons are you trying? Those are often compatible (or not) with certain builds of windows, as opposed to a specific versions of sense.
To get the taskbar and softkey bars "transparent", your best bet is to use HDWalls, an app that can cab up a wallpaper for you, and it will skin those bars to match the wallpaper you chose. However, this is kind of a "cheat" since it doesn't really make them transparent...I haven't found any solutions that actually do that. HDWalls has a little bit of a learning curve and you'll need to install the HQ patch for it as well, but it's probably the best option.
You can also try THIS app...I haven't given it a shot yet, but it's on my list of things to try. Looks like it might be a good bit more complicated though, but you're welcome to give it a shot

No prob The thing to do would be to look to see which build of 6.5 you have, and just read the notes carefully in the posts with the taskbars, to see if yours is listed as compatible. I think CHT can cause incompatibilities with some taskbars, just because some say they are specifically known to work with it. What carrier's stock ROM are you running? If it's the Tmo US ROM, I'm running the same, and I can let you know which taskbars have worked for me.

how can i change the bottom task bar to something slimmer? is there any cabs for that? i searched but i did not find anything? i am on the elagancia rom, but i like the slimmer ones....
also, is there anyway to "hide" that taskbar?

yeah, i looked there. i must be blind..cause im sure there is something for it

hi, if you are taking about the sense task bar this is an option in the cht editor under misc, if you are talking about the windows task bar, this can only be hidden in MAX MANILLA, it is not a feature with Cookie

yes, i am looking to hide the windows bottem task bar. will max manilla work with my tmo hd2? will it change everything or can i just change that? can it be used with cookies home tab also?

cookie doesnt have the option and you may have problems removing cookie and installing MAX. You will probably have to reflash with a ROM that has MAX onboard or a clean rom with neither onboard and then install it from there. I have tried maxmanilla on the HD2 yet, I was using it on my old Touch HD and it was smooth and quick, should be a lot better on the HD2.
try flashing the maxmanilla version of the Elegancia ROM, its a very good ROM, be sure you update your radio and HSPL first though.

Hello everyone, I am using WP7 Moonlight on my HD2 and was wondering if there is a way for me to change the taskbar at the top of the screen? Or are there any working taskbar skins for WP7 that I can install?
