I'm currently using YouTubePlay, but it slows down for certain movies I play. Is there something else that people use?

I m using 1.59.x.x but TCPMP is not working smoothly...the video is really bad
Just buy Coreplayer. It'll render your movies even w/o re-encoding.
Is there any video player like coreplayer on windows mobile? I know there is YXFlash but when I play movie it is not smooth (choppy)...
use meridian , but it will not play divx videos
same here i am missing a good divx player on android !
is it possible to play divx on android?
Sent from my HTC Legend using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
yes YXFlash works but it;s pay app and options are limited.
Don't understand there isn;t any good FREE player. Android is Linux based so it should be easy...
CorePlayer is working in andoid version but no release date on their tweeater...
i find that 98% of the videos I try to play...video files, video podcasts, and most youtube videos are out of sync.
anyone else has similar issues?

i came from the n900 multimedia powerhouse tablet and this is like a full downgrade lol
in this category anyway
Hmmm this is a bit of a blow.... I was just looking at getting a Legend or maybe Desire but With no decent movie player it could be a non starter
Out of interest I notice that the Legend is similar specs to the HD - how does it compare? anyone had both.... I find the HD sluggish with later WinMo ROMs and Android to be honest.
Rockplayer Plays it all.....
Its in public beta for now.

yeah i was going to say what about rock player, its in public beta but it plays it all. might as well grab it while its free even if it is a tad bit buggy since its a beta. plus i'm pretty sure it plays everything, even divx
didn't rock player use armv7 ? when the legend support only armv6 :\

Rockplayer is working great on my legend so I would say no...
the new rockplayer public beta has support for armv6 / legend
Im glad there is a nice player finally no need to convert that much anymore saves a lot of time
I hope they update it and stays free

What will happen with Rockplayer if the public beta time is over..Anyone know something about this?
1. Will be blocked (unusable), except you pay for it (pay app)?
2. Continue as freeware and with tons of new updates?
I am in desperade of having a good FREE video player. ^o^
Hi,
I have a Galaxy 5 and I was trying to make work the Arcade Kongregate and one app from orkut (card game)...
I've managed to install an 10.1 Flash Player on it (downloaded somewhere) and the Adobe Showcase (market)...
Everything was fine, then I've installed the Arcade Kongregate (1.08 I guess) and it work, but the games doesnt work... when I download or play one (including the update) it stays at blank screen, or black screen... and the orkut app (card game) still shows the missing plugin in the internet browser...
Please, someone could help me with this? I don't care it will run slow, I just want to try out...
Froyo 2.2 Original
Thank you
why the heck are you posting this in galaxy 3 section??no one here have a galaxy 5
by the way, flash dosent work in both the phones bcoz of low processor.....

This ^
But it's not "low" processor, it's unsupported processor, SG3's CPU is more than capable to run Flash, but Adobe decided not to support it because it has different architecture which requires more development.
To OP, try downloading Android7 Flash player or Flash Lite.

They can play flash content like swf files and games, but can't play flash video and don't work in browsers. Depending from one's needs, he can go this route and install Skyfire browser which can play flash videos just fine.
But on such a small screen I don't see the point of flash in browser, when you want to watch a video just fire up You Tube app or Rockplayer.

the kongregate arcade seems to have some cool games for low resolution/screen...
and the orkut app I just wan't to see if it would be very small, or playable...
any chance by having a port of the flash player?
Sorry for being rude OP.
@clarkkov as far as i know our phone runs on ARMV6 proc which does not have flash support,so how can these two apps play flash content

does anyone know how to update/reinstall Flash for our galaxy 3?
I'm wondering if that's the reason why videos have the audio out of sync..

I recently put cyanogenmod 7 on my Evo. I have some movies on my sd card in mp4 format that I've always played using Zimly player when I had the Fresh build....Now Zimly doesn't see them, and when I try to open them from es file explorer,i get an error. Is there something I need to install to make these work?
NM....re-installed Zimly in the new build and it works fine now...
Maybe the app isnt 2.3.4 compatible yet if you "recently" installed cm7 and it worked before. Have you tried another app from the market like qqplayer or vplayer?
Oops...all is not well afterall
Now Zimly "sees"all the movies, but it will only play a couple of them....it would play them all on the fresh evo build...
I'll try qqplayer
What codecs are the movies? What resolution? What bitrate?

Installing different players is great, but have you tried MX Player WITH the Arm v7 Codec (on the market as well)? Most vids play flawlessly for me with that setup. Also do what Kameirus said and check the ROM thread for fixes, and it would also help to tell us which ROM and what version of that ROM you're on.

Maybe you're trying to play a 1080p video?
What are the specifications of your video? maybe it IS the problem, not the phone?
