Same over here...how you solve it?

1/ Go to HKLM / SOFTWARE / OEM / PhoneSetting
2/ Add DWORD "TrustTimeZoneField"
3/ valeur = 0
4/Soft reset
escuz my english is very bad

I did This :-D
Use Total Commander or any other Registry Editor
1. Go to HKLM / SOFTWARE / OEM / PhoneSetting/ +Add Value+
2. Add DWORD "TrustTimeZoneField"
3. valeur = 0
4. Soft reset

cab
Here is a cab that changes that value. It's posted somewhere in this forum.

now am getting a 5 mins Time difference from people who are on a Different Newtwork.. i will try the CAB and see if that works...

bump i am also gettin a 5 mintue difference. has this issue been resolved?

I get a 2 minute time difference, tried doing that, but still no joy.
Help please!!!!
Note: I have a Leo, but this thread was linked into a thread in there, and sounds like the exact same problem so hopefully a fix for this will work for me!

i had the same problem
for a quick fix just change ur time zone to LONDON, Dublin which is GMT 0.
maybe you were using a UK rom or something

could it be that the people with 5 minute time difference have their clock 5 minutes out? and the people with 2 minutes differences have their HD2 clock 2 minutes out from the actual time... just a thought.

I'm having a similar issue.
Message I have sent have the correct time (I view sms in threaded view) but messages I have received display only the date. They used to all show time before I went on vacation.
I tried the CAB and the issue persists. Any idealios?

Daylight savings time mess with new manila - help!

Can we please work towards a solution for the daylight savings time error with the new manila. When the system clock changes to the new time manila is behind by an hour. All appointments on TF3D are shown an hour early - this has made my week hell when checking for times of meetings etc..
I used the search and saw this issue mentioned but no one seems to be working towards a solution for this. Its a real problem

Correct. I tried MS updates - it does not help Manila
had the same issues, still not resolved, damn
im going to try using advanced config to disable the auto daylight savings time update setting.
Also ensure your phone options are set to automatically update timezone or the time of your threaded sms responses will mess up

I also noticed that Manila sets the time zone wrong. When I select "Milwaukee", a city in the "Central US" time zone, Manila selects "Sakatchewan", which is in the same time zone apperantly, but the clock is still an hour off. I always have to go to the original WM settings page to set this right.

If you do this in the manilla file in the last columm there are the time zones.
The solution is add to yor time zone 60 more
lets say London change from 0 to -60
Paris from -20 to -120
Athens from -120 to -180 Put it in the windows dir
and you are ok
This is not a permanent solution because you have to change it back in the change of winter time.
This is a bug in all topaz and rhodium based roms (and perhaps in all hd roms)
The manilla 2clock takes the time from the file 2330fc3c_manila which is different
from previus manilla 1 file it has an extra columm in database with timezone
and does not know about summer time.

Did not work for me. After suggested change I got correct time shift for Moscow time, but once I set Moscow in settings-system-clock, I get two versions of Moscow time in Manila. One that I changed is called just Moscow. And another one is called GMT+3 Moscow which is one hour behind. In either case if I pick Moscow in Manila with correct time, or GMT+3 Moscow and adjust time, after I hit Done, system time becomes Abu Dhabi GMT+4 instead of Moscow. Gosh...

DONT WORRY ABOUT Abu Dhabi GMT+4 in system clock
1 Set the correct time inside tf3d time tab add city Moscow delete the system time that says GMT+3 Moscow
2 Active sync your device
3 Open a gps navigation program to lock sattelites and you will see that everything is ok
No more time change.
Is there liekly to be a fix from HTC for this?
I don't really know what their policy is on bug fixes.

SMS/texts in wrong order if sent/received with same time/date

is there a fix for this? tried searching but couldn't find anything, just a lot of threads about the delay to reply which works slightly better due to new fix released today
anyway, in conversation mode, if I reply quickly back to a text message within the same minute then it goes before the text I'm replying to instead of after it!
not exactly good if you send quick texts often as the conversation looks a mess!
thanks
Hi,
Try installing the latest hotfix for SMS. They've sorted out the little bugs in texting. You can download it from: http://www.htc.com/uk/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=297&act=sd&cat=all
Hope this helps!

I'd already installed the update earlier today and it's still there . Surely it doesn't just look at hour:min in the text message details and list them. Wouldn't it work better if they also date/stamp (including seconds) the text when it's received so it will work OK in conversation mode?
try it yourself and send a text to yourself and when you get it, reply straight away and it will put the 2nd sent text before the text you received in the 1st place!
This happened to me where all my Texts were at the top of the conversation and all my friend's replied were at the bottom. Is this the same problem you had? I solved it by changing the message type to unthreaded in settings.
i have same issue .. my gf replies straight away and it appears she answered my question before i asked it .. its very annoying
Took me a LOT of searching when I had the same problem, but this fixed it for me:
Edit the following registry key...
HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting\
add a DWORD key "TrustTimeZoneField" and give it a value of "0"
No more time zone issues. This is caused by your operator I think sending the wrong time to the phone...
SOURCE: http://www.mattgibson.ca/2008/04/13...gsm3g-windows-mobile-56-smartphonespocketpcs/
this change only solve if u r in diff timezone.
but we are both in same timezone.... but sms timestamp is not basic on our mobile time setting is basic on their one

I'd faced this issue too. The way I could fix it was set the Time of my HD2 about 2-3 Mins forward than the current time. That solved the SMS order issue.
Actually the issue seems to be due to the Timestamp of the SMS which is given by the Mobile Operator being a bit ahead than the time on your HTC Device.
Did you try it? Was happening in the same time zone with me and this solved it.

that's no fix as the problem is then reversed as then incoming texts go before the ones you've sent out . I found that out straight away as I normally put my phone fast anyway but then got incoming texts going before my initial texts! Even just 1 minute ahead doesn't work as texts sent/received within that minute get mixed up!
my G1 used to time stamp them as they came in with the time of the handset, not time sent or network time. Good for conversation on G1 as it got them in the right order but it had it's flaw. The problem being you didn't know when it had actually been sent to you if your phone had been off for any amount of time as it simply time stamped when received when you'd switched your phone back on!
whoever tested the SMS feature of this phone obviously didn't do a good job at all strange that such a great feature handset trips up on one of the most used features that most other handsets work perfectly fine with

its annoying that little bugs like this have not been addressed by HTC
same issue here
i am wondering when will HTC put a fix to this fundamental problem on a core function such as SMS. Seriously, the HTC messaging is nice, but with the lag and timestamp issue, it makes HTC seem like they're trying too hard and not focusing on making the phone work well first than look nice. I am frustrated as hell too, but trips to the service centre only gave me answers like "wait for a software release/upgrade", i am wondering whether do you receive any problems with the touch screen? the screen actually jitters and shakes up and down even when your finger is still frequently. i have changed the main board 2 times already and it happens still.
Btw, my set's from singapore.
Fix made! Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6116612

MMS problem, low resolution

I got a problem with my mms. When I send, or receive, the mms ends up at only a few kb. Is it some settings or something that needs to be changed? Weird thing is that its like 46 kb when I send the picture, but when its received, its only 6kb.
Sending between 2 HTC Leo.
Got to mention that sending between HTC Leo and Samsung Omnia HD worked great.
Ive tried changing reolution to 1280x1024 in mms properties.
EDIT: I use the 1.66 stock rom norwegian.
Already asked already answered here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629061
I recommend CeRegistryEditor for making registry changes through the PC, allows copy and pasting.
Thanks m8. Couldnt find it by searching. Will try that =)
EDIT: Tried it. I dont think thats the problem. Mine says HTC HD2 T8585 already.
Hmm, are both settings correct?
UAProfile=http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/HTC_HD2_T8585-1.0.xml
and
UserAgent=HTC_HD2_T8585
Yes, they are. Ill check the other HTC Leo as well, just in case one of them got this problem.
Also, worth a look in the registry here
HK Local Machine\Software\Jataayu\MMS\
and in the profile key there is a reference to defaultsendsize - currently set to 300 in mine. a little googling brings up chefs here on xda changing that to 1024. Could be worth a play.
Tried that as well =)
Heh well in that case the last thing i can think of is
messaging tab - all messages - menu - settings - options - scroll right to the bottom - photo resolution. Though i suspect that will be already set to 'original'.
Could be the network provider is reducing it themselves? Is that possible or legal?
Tried that as well. Im gonna check the other phone. Check if theres something wrong with the registry input there. I dont have that phone here right now, and my gf isnt answering my calls =P

Mate - would you post back and let us know how you get on? I've got the exact same problem and would like it sorted.
Have you tried this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629061
I use Resco Explorer (http://www.resco.net/downloads/pocketpc/explorer/en/rescoexploreren_aio.arm.cab) Registry editor to edit registry.
I dont have anything new before friday when I come home. Its my gfs phone, and she wanted me to fix it. Ill update the thread when I know more. If she doesnt have the bug either, then I dont know whats the problem.
Checked my gfs phone now. She got the right settings as well...
Any others thoughts why the pics are 6 kb? =P
Hey. I've been playing with this problem tonight, (just for kicks, it works fine for me)
Anyway, i came across these two keys
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\MMS\USER
IncomingMessageSize
and
OutgoingMessageSize
both set to 307200 (300kb)
I tried changing them, thinking maybe yours were wrong, but they reset themselves to 300kb. So did a search on '307200' and found another set of mms registry keys you might want to have a look at on your devices.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCSetting\SampleMMSC
Now i know it says 'sample' in the keys, but it has all the settings for my o2 mms server in there, gateway ports and the like, along with various sending size limits and such.
Gotta be worth a look, eh?
I don't know if you fixed it but i had the same problem and i did this
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\MMS\USER
increase both your incoming message size and outgoing message size
that should do it
i just searched for 300 and looked around

Reducing sms marked as read time

How can I reduce the time that it takes to register my SMS messages as read? Some of my messages are a word or two long and in the time it takes me to read them the phone is still displaying them as new messages as I haven't had them open for the length of time required to register them as read. Any ideas?

i'm sure its something that we can play with in the registry... but i rather leave that in more "capable" hands... lol
but as for now.. i haven't seen anything on our forums come up along those lines... although i do admit that i would also be interested in reducing the time as well... all i really need is 1 sec... i dislike having to wait there on the messaging tab, until the notification goes away....
+1
I'd love something like this. I hate that I get a text that says "yes" and I have to stare at that screen for about 5 seconds for it to be marked as read.
Me too...wouldn't it be a registry change or something within Manila?
bump for this issue. Anyone more knowledgeable have any solution to this?
lets try again. Im sure lots of people know if this is something that takes 2 seconds to change or if it would be tough.
most annoying bit is when ya get a few msgs and ya flck thru em that fast that theres always one that stays "unread" and ya have to open all msgs to find it or else hover over all the ones uv just read till the 1 goes away... vote 1 from me to sort this out, it should go as soon as the text has landed on the screen, and same with emails if anyone can sort that one too lol
+1 from me too! For SMS And Emails too
HKLM/Software/Jataayu/Messaging
MSFTUnreadCountFlag = 5
Mine is set to 5 (seconds) changing that to a lower value will work
good luck

SMS Sent. . . . :-S

Hey all
Im A UK T-mobile user and after the rom update 1.72 everytime I send a sms I get a very enoying sms sent message. . .
is there anyway to stop this . . . .I really hate it
go to Messages> Menu>Settings>Options> Uncheck request delivery report under sms
don't think the OP is taling about an SMS delivery report, its like a notification that stays in your taskbar, i want to keep this there, but for it to disappear after x seconds (say 3)
anyone have any ideas?
yeah thats what I mean the .. and you have to delete it from there. . .its really enoying !!!!
anyone have a solution to make it not appear or yess even stay for a few seconds .. .
i've pretty amateur when it comes to registry and had a quick look but couldnt find anything.
if there is any solutions i'd love to know, 3 seconds will be great to know that the message has sent, without me having to go and dismiss it myself
bump.... can anyone help?
I'm with you on this one! Using the new Vodafone rom - I get the same! Please help.. (I've tried turning off the notifications but no help!)
Same here, it's annoying as anything!
Nobody have a quick fix?
Is there an option to turn it off by going to:
Start/Settings/Menu/All settings/Sounds and Notifications/Notifications then selecting an option from the drop down list and making any changes?
I'm still on the original TMobile Rom so have not tried this on 1.72. If this option isn't in the new Rom I'd be interested to know of another fix before I upgrade myself.
good idea happy snapper but just had a look and if you select 'display on screen' then you can click ok and it disappears, as in the stock rom.
