hey guys i have my g1 rooted on jf1.51us and i seen to have some problem with the volume control when im in a call i cant increase or decrease the volume either for my ring i dont know why this started to happen if any one may have the answer for this plz help me out how to solve this problem if there a command that i can do to the phone please provided to me so i can fix this cuz is gettin anoyin when ppl yell on the phone
Have you updated the radio? Have you tried the Meltus audio fix?
the jf1.51 suppost to have the newest radio on it but i can do that and see if that fix it

Before I say anything, I am using the 2.17 ROM. When talking to people I cannot adjust the call volume. Its always set to max no matter what I do with the volume slider or the volume icon on screen. It's so loud that the speaker gets distorted. I am afraid if it stays this way either my speaker will blow or I'll go deaf!
Any suggestions out there as to why this is?

What device do you have? I gather thats a qtek rom. But we can help you more if we know if its a cingular/vario/imate etc... You may need to try the native rom to see if its a software or hardware problem.
Are you sure you're adjusting the volume while you are talking? In-call volume can only be adjusted in the middle of a call. (This may seem obvious but I only realised this recently )

Mine is the exact opposite!
My in-call slider does nothing. Sure, it moves up and down, (and yes, during a call) but it does not change the volume @ all!
Mine is stuck on 'almost inaudible' so i can barely hear anyone.
Tried 2.24 cooked T-mobile ROM, (that's when it started) and mr clean's rom hoping that would fix it...
No luck.

I have the same problem with my HTC 8125 by cingular with WM 6.1 (Newbie's ROM IPL 2.25 - SPL 2.25 - GSM 02.69.11).
Please, if you know how to help out, or have had this or a similar problem let me know what to do.
my BIG PROBLEM:
I am sure all of you know what a "beep" means... that is, when you make a phonecall, you hear those "beeps", indicating that at the other end, the phone is ringing... the problem is I CANNOT HEAR anything... i do not actually know when the call is connected because i cannot hear anything... the volume is so low that i can barely hear something if there is no noise at all around me... but the actuall voice volume is ok, when actually talking with somebody... only the "beeps" have the issue...
how cand i fix this? It is really annoying.. :|

I have this problem on the latest Tachiii custom rom (WM6.5 + TF3D2), in other words, its rom related so try a different one.
tried several... but if it's rom related... it can be fixed.. how????

I never hear about App that increase the mic volume.. and also i don`t know whitch ROM`s u use but im sure if this is not Hardware problem like i think is more Software problem if you flash a NEW rom the problem will be solved.

You may want to start with what rom you had flashed, what else you may have done to the phone, have your dropped it/got it wet.
Alternatively, if you know what rom you flashed, post in that roms thread, and search through it. There may be others with the same issue,or it may have already been fixed as a bug by the chef.
But then, I can't say as you have not posted all the relevant information.
Me having the same problem.. I was having a different rom till yesterday.. today i even updated the rom.. but same problem in this rom too..
Hi, I've searched everywhere trying to fix the problem but none suggested by other users was able to fix it.
The problem I have is when someone calls me, I can barely hear them. However, when I make calls to other people, the call volume is absolutely perfect. I'm talking about the incall volume, not ringer just incase some people misread it.
I've done replacing the htcleo.acdb and default.acdb files, that didn't do it.
Some have suggested that turning off the Keypad tone fixed this issue, but it didn't do it for me either.
So if anyone has come across a working fix for this, please share your wisdom with me. Android on the HD2 just makes the phone 100 times better, just need to fix this issue to make it perfect.

i also have the same problem and i noticed that after changing my rom.
I get that problem sometimes but how I sort it is to turn loud speaker on and off then its fine.
