As the titlequestion says, is it possible? I want my X1 to stay in landscapemode, AT ALL TIMES.
Registry, hack or impossible? All answers accepted
Um... I won't be of much help here, because I don't know how it was done, but i heard it was possible. So keep searching .
Start->Settings->System(Tab)->Screen->General(Tab) Screen Orientation Portrait/Landscape Dunno if permanent until you change it.
Yes, it's possible using mortscript. Then one would wonder, why would you want that?
Easy thing:
Get Schaps Advanced Config tool. Go to the setting where you can set the display orientation. Set 270 degrees to "True", 0, 90, 180 to "False".
The slideout will no longer rotate back to portrait now.
Keep in mind that other tools (AEButton, QuickMenu) can still rotate the screen if they want.

Scenario: I type in an adress in Opera, and slide in the keyboard; - the phone changes orientation (to my irritation). I have several other scenarios that (certainly) only annoy me..

SORRY so much! I had it all wrong. However, I found the solution on here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1506552&postcount=3 <--- seems like it's slow though.

You've been very helpful, and I thank you The ultimate would of course be to find a registrysetting that cancels the whole orientationchangethingy, but this will absolutely help.

I had the Same problem you have to Chnage Display Mode to "RawBuffer" and it wont freeze anymore.
you have to do this thru the registry editor. \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2U2 scroll down to "Display Mode" and change the value to "00".
that should fix the freezing problem. Hope This helps

Hi,
seems to me that the KGUSERV runs at startup, if you google you will find instructions on how to disable it.
I disabled Palm Treo Pro keyguard this way:
HKLM\System\KeyTouch, change value of "IsAlignScreen" from 0 to 1
Wait app. 30 seconds after changing then softreset the Treo Pro. Now keyguard is disabled.

Hey Guys and Gals,
I have a small question and I hope somebody knows the answer.....
I'm having a Snap ans I was wondering if if could be possible by settings to leave the screen dimmed while getting a text....
usually it brightens up and turns on as soon as you get a message, but I dont want that
Is there somebody who knows, how to disable the screen from being turned on while receiving a message??
Thanks anyway for any reply/feedback
Regards Jeroen
i think that might just be part of the background sms process. i don't believe there is any hidden registry value to change it.

You could try this reg hack:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
"DisableSMSWakeUpEvent"=dword:00000001

Try Lumos, works great for me and....its free

there are different values, but I think none of them is the right one. There is a min max value for the backlight, but I think it changes only the values in manual setting of the backlight.
Above suggested Lumos is probably the only way.
