my k-jam hangs

Hi,
Recently my pda(k-jam) fell from my pocket and it hanged. I did a soft reset but I get this error message "Press Send to restore factory defaults, Other keys to quit"
I tried all keys but in vain. I then did a hard reset by pressing the comm and the voice dial. (did a reset with my stylus). I still get the above error message.
Does anyone have any suggestion or idea how to reset my pda?

Thank you for your suggestion, I will think of upgrading to molski.
But will it upgrade ? As a hard reset also doesnt seem to work and how do I get to reach the ROM if I am not able to see the other things?

I am a newbie and so would seek alot of help. Thanks in advance...
Couple of days back my pda fell and now after soft or hard reset the screen still shows this "press send to restore to factory defaults, other keys to quit"
I would like to upgrade to molski but they say I might have to downgrade my rom but I must first unlock the device. There are g3 or g4 device..how do I know what device my k-jam is...g3 or g4? How do I follow up or know?
Could anybody give me the link or solve my problem? As my k-jam just wont pass that screen..I tried looking into various topics but couldnt go about the first step I should be taking...

Please help..after hard reset, it still does not happen to load into the factory defaults... I cant flash my ROM or anything ...as it wont progress further than that screen ... "Press Send to load factory defaults, or quit"
Anyone have any suggestion?

Hold down the camera button while resetting it. If you can get it to the bootloader (three color screen), you might be able to flash it with something and possibly rescue it. It does, however, sound like you might be screwed. Things break when you drop them, including plastic phones.

Thanks but if I have to do a hard reset, I would already be holding the comm manager and the voice dial with the stylus to reset. Do I hold all the 3 buttons together while hard resetting ?
I have tried all the buttons after doing the hard reset but just doesnt get to the other screen.

Hold down the camera button, Power Button and Pin in the hole. First relese the hole, then release the power button and keep holding the Camera button dis will bring the Tri-colour screen. There'll be some info. like IPL n SPL der
If IPL n SPL are like:
IPL 2.xx.xxxx or 1.xx.xxxx
SPL 2.xx.xxx or 1.xx.xxxx then ur device is G4.
if its like:
IPL 2.xx or 1.xx
SPL 2.xx or 1.xx then ur device is G3
if its G4 you need to CID Unlock that before upgrading it.

I tried your steps but it still wouldnt work. But somehow I did the switch below the comm button and it showed me the screen to the somethign HTC innovation or like that.
I think I had to tinker with the switch below the button to get the screen working.Thanks for your help.

Do a hard reset.... Hold both softkey buttons down and reset with stylus. Hold in until it asks if you want to reset to factory settings. "r" on slideout keyboard then space bar.
You will loose all contactsdoing this but to retrieve them anyway....

hh ... i tryed .. but i have flashed version of rom CRC rom ... wheni tryed this hard reset it jump to on boot screen mode ... no choose of hard reset or something like that ... i tryed it .... something else ??? for solving this probleeem )

You pressed the wrong keys... You went to bootloader.
softkeys = 2 top keys above hangup & answer button, NOT power & OK...
Try again....
You will reload the new rom on your phone again as this is the version of windows you now have...

P3400 gene100 is not starting!

Hi,
My 3400 is not starting. When i start the phone it hangs up in the "windows mobile direct push technology" screen. I tried without SD card and SIM but no luck. I have all my contacts inside and I need them. How can I fix the problem of my phone. Please help.

i don't think u can save ur contacts now
just hard reset ur device but all data will be lost.

How to do the hard reset? please tell me.

I searched google and got the method to hard reset.

To perform a hard reset (Full Reset) press and hold the left SOFT KEY and the right SOFT KEY, and at the same
time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the middle left side of your device.
Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two SOFT KEYs until you see the following message on the screen:
This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset
all settings to manufacturer default. Press Send to restore
manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.
Release now the two SOFT KEYs, and then press the TALK (Send) button

But when I press the reset button phone restarted but nothing siplayed as mentioned above. Again it went to windows screen and hung there! Cant even do hard reset? What can I do now? Please hlep.

I was update my htc p3400i ROM, after completion. Phone turn off but not restart, if I try camera button and reset button only green and red right blink not any indication shown on screen,…please help me.

which rom u have updated??????????

i was updating this rom "RUU_Gene_hTC_Asia_India_1.17.720.1_4.1.13.34_02.79.90_Ship" after 100% complete it turns off , but not start only Green and red light flash during press reset button...
i was try all methods,#remove batery 20 sec and then start with camer button & both camera and voice button, nothing shown in USB in PC. but result is same...
please help how i can recover my device.....

it turns out that was installing the update of Spanish official "update sms new function" and took too long and suddenly puts it had no internal memory, which was weird because I always install things in the sd ... press the ok and stay there .... not follow or went out or anything. did not respond as expected and did a soft reset ..........
AND NOW NO ONE CROSSES THE HOME SCREEN !!!!!!! which is white, and HTC put on the left below the radio and other ..............
any ideas ???????????????????????

P.D. I did a thousand soft resets, remove the battery, I can not do hard reset ...... until you remove the sim and sd in case !!!!!!! and there is no pass ..........

u will have to hard reset...
u can leave ur sim inside, but take your SD out...

I press the bottons power off + volume up + volume down and the hd2 not respond....
the sim is inside...

gotta do the hard reset and it works !!!!!!!!

weird problem

my gene is giving a weird problem whenever i got a call on my phone it gets restarted...... help needed asap.... tried using differents SIM but the problem still persist

just do hard reste......but listen
1remove memor card.....
2take the backup if necessery....
now steps for hard reset.........
3then hold "-" & "-" buttons (upper buttons of call(green) & cut(red)) + hold switch ON button,while holding these 3 buttons "reset" ur phone by using ur stylus....
4then phone will ask u to format.....
5then press call(green) button....
all the best......

have u done hard reset properly......
remember when u r on hard reset screen u have to press only green button....when u press green button then it will show "formatting FAT partition"..
have u seen this.....?

@ameetbora Do you use a customized ROM for your GENE? If that is the case, you may need to use another stable ROM as some of the customized ROMs have bugs and the phone application may hang / crash while you receive a call.
