When i connect my xperia through bluetooth to my desktop (running windows 7 x64) I get this serious freeze of explorer window if I open the xperia icon my computer it lasts for about a minute or two and than begins functioning normaly as intended. This really makes bluetooth useless for a quick file transfer.
What could be wrong?

Did u try installing while connected to the internet? cuz You don't need to go searching for a driver as windows 7 comes with a pretty nice feature that helps by auto-connecting to windows update, fetches and installs d driver for you...
P.S...i'm running windows 7 ultimate 32-bit and i use a bluetooth dongle myself (Active sync/Data transfer works perfectly)
agree, never had a problem with win 7 drivers
(except win 7 64bits)
Dear all
I have issues with my bluetooth connection
everytime I tried to connect MS2 with my laptop, it's always failed.
In this case both the laptop and MS 2 detects the bluetooth connection (I even paired them). but there is no connection (i.e I can't receive image transferred to laptop from MS2 and vise versa)
In my laptop's bluetooth device, I can find my MS2 buth with yellow mark on it. When I tried to troubleshoot this problem with win7 troubleshooter, no succes. It's said that "bluetooth peripheral device doesn't have a driver - not fixed"
Have you ever met this experience?
please guys help me, it's like pain in the ass if my MS2 cannot connect to my laptops via bluetooth..
btw I use sony vaio with win 7 64 bit
MS 2 rooted with stock ROM
Best Regards
I have the same issue with HP Probook 4320s and Windows 7 64 bit, looks like a win issue... I have no problem with my other laptop running windows vista business

yeah..maybe win issue.
I've searched the bluetooth peripheral device from both manufacturer and windows site, but nothing came up with a success.
In the bluetooth device control of my PC I clicked "send files to my phone"
I choose the .apk files and hit "send" but it failed after several second.
the message was "The request could not be honored", it seems that the phone reject the request.
But then I try to send .rar and it works. So from now on if I had to transfering files via bluetooth to my MS2, I zip it first
I'm wondering if there is an option for MS2 to "receive all incoming beam"?
give it a try guys
I have tried it on my macbook, it also can't work...
Seems motorola didn't put any effort on bluetooth file transfering...
Use some e third party apps to solve it...
Sent from my MotoA953 using XDA Premium App
Hey guys, have anyone here tried to pair (by bluetooth) a Windows Phone to a computer with W8 Release Preview installed?
Today I paired my Lumia 710 with the Win8 RP, and it recognized the phone not only as an ordinary WinPhone, but as a bluetooth headset too, or other kind of bluetooth audio device, unlike Win7 does. The phone also shows that a device (in this case, the pc w/ Win8) is connected, but nothing else.
It's a weird thing. Is it supposed to stream audio from pc to phone, or other unknow feature?
Thanks.
similar problem here. Trying to send files from my HTC HD2 WP7 to my Samsung series 7. Windows 8 sees the phone and asks for pass code, then says its "mated", but when i try to copy pictures between them, nothing.
Same problem with the bluetooth GPS reciever i have for Garmin Mobile PC. Garmin and Windows 8 can see the BT-GPS device, but Garmin can never get a saterlite fix. Always gets stuck saying "Searching for Saterlites"
Any ideas or just wait until real Windows 8 is out?
As I know, bluetooth in Windows Phone 7 is just for headsets. Probably you can pair with PC but you can use only as a headset (I don't try)
But Windows Phone 8 will drop this restriction :good:

Hey, I am having a problem viewing my files on my Windows 7 PC. The Nexus 4 shows up in (devices and printers) as a Nexus 4, but it doesn't show up in my folder explore. I have my phone set to MTP. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Android ADB Interface hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't. The funny thing is that I also received a replacement for my Nexus 10 and it's also having the same problem, but if I plug my old Nexus 10 in it works just fine. All devices work on my other computer, so it shouldn't be a hardware issue. Thanks in advance for your help.

If your Nexus 4 works fine on your "other computer", then the issue is with the computer (by process of elimination).
While connected, check device manager for unknown device or Nexus 4 (under Portable Devices), right click and remove it, disconnect phone and reboot.
Then try connecting your phone and you should get "found new hardware" and hopefully Windows will fix the driver.
I am having the exact same problem. Except sometimes it works and sometimes out of the blue it does not. If it does not I have to restart computer and hope that once booted up it will show. I also have that the folders show up, then if I unplug and plug back in later, it will no longer show the folders. No idea what gives
Windows 7 doesn't always play nice with MTP devices. I've had nothing but problems with my Galaxy Tab 7+ and some minor issues with the Nexus 4, they like to disconnect whenever they feel like it.
How to use your Tablet Z4 or any other android tablet or phone as a secondary display with Windows 7, 8 or 10 (Duplicate or Extend Screen)Recently my tablet screen got cracked which left me heart broken :crying: . So I decided to use it as a secondary display for my laptop.
It can be done by two ways 1) Using WiFi 2) Using USB Cable
1) Download Kinoni Remote Desktop app for both laptop and your device and connect them both to the same Wifi Network (Internet not required). Simply connect and you will be able to mirror your desktop screen on your device.
2) Download TwomonUSB for both of your devices. Install ADB drivers and on your laptop and remember to turn on USB Debugging Mod on your Android device. Now just open the app after connecting the USB cable and enjoy both mirroring and Extended display on your Android Device.
This method will work on Windows 7, 8 and 10. I have made a video running windows 10 on my Tablet Z2 with Extended display
Thanks for sharing. How did the crack appear, you dropped it?

No..... It was kept inside my laptop bag and i dont know what happened. Something heavy came in contact with it which cracked its screen in a very unusual manner.
