Wont get service

ok so i have a unlocked G1 and it wont get service with a tmobile or att sim it shows the bars with and X next to em. it shows it has a sim in it cause when it doesnt it shows a sim with an exclamation point.
i just want to know how to make it get service i have the correct apn but no luck someone help please
you got the latest radio?
i dont think so. but havent messed with the phone such as putting roms on it and things like that
well check to see if your apn's listing are there that maybe why your not getting any service .if you had tryed a tmoble sim and att sim card .both not worked then sounds like apn issue. plus make sure you have the right apn for your area because there are so many diff ones.
i only have the att apn. could that be the problem that i need all the default apns for it to get service?
could someone post all the apns in the G1 for me
Whether you have the apn entered or not won't matter in your case. The apn settings are for specifying the internet/data access settings for a provider. If you have the zero bars icon then you are not even connected to the network at all (meaning you aren't even getting voice, let alone data). Try going into Settings>Wireless>Mobile Networks>Network Operators. Maybe you can manually select at&t.
im stuck at the activation screen. should i try to reflash the radio then becaue i dont get any bars at all.

It's worth a shot.

Is there any way to wipe APN settings?

I popped in a different network sim card into my phone to try out a different carrier's coverage, then put the old sim back in. Manually added the old APN and tried using "default" APN settings. Can't get a data connection at all either way though. I've tried reinstalling the ROM and Kernel. Any way to wipe the APN ?

Settings > Mobile networks > Access point names. select the APN, then hit menu > delete
Yeah i tried that but still nothing. Was wondering if maybe there is an app i can "clear data" in app management. Or possibly reflash my radio? Unless i've somehow broken my 3g radio..seems doubtful though.
I guess ill play around with the APN and see if i can get it back.

Just got a refurb N4, ATT settings help

I'm about to give up and throw my phone out the window. I can't seem to connect to the phone APN on ATT. I'm stuck on ATT WAP.
So I just received a replacement refurb N4 since I sent it in to have the screen fixed. It came with stock 4.3.
I got a SIM card from ATT and was connected, but i'm not sure what APN. I'm assuming ATT WAP since that is what the factory phone comes with.
I went home and flashed unlocked the bootloader, flashed the 0.84 radio, PA RC-1, and gapps.
I manually key in the ATT phone APN:

Neither of these connect for me. My network connection dies, and I can't even go back to ATT WAP without first rebooting. I've tried entering these about 50 times, rebooting again and again, reflashing the ROM and radio again and again, re-entering the APN settings again and again.
I'm on WCDMA preferred network type (*#*#4636#*#*). I've tried changing it and no luck either.
I'm on the latest radio.
I can't figure out what's wrong. I'm sure I'm not getting good data speeds through ATT WAP, but I can't tell because Speedtest doesn't work with this APN.
How can I get my phone onto the ATT Phone APN? I've tried everything. Is there a setting I'm overlooking? I didn't have these issues at all on 4.2, before I sent my phone in for repair.

[Q] Wanamlite 1.5 network problem

i installed Wanamlite v.1.5 to my i9505 and now i have problems with the network and mobile data.
i didnt have an apn list (there is an apn list i flashed that came with the ROM but i think it did nothing or i did it wrong maybe?) i put the apn settings myself, they work fine for a little while, i can get 4g and connect and everything, but after a while it just stops, it cant even connect. also i tried removing the sim card and even without the sim card the phone shows me there is a network connection! i have 4 bars out of 6, which i think is pretty wierd.
how can i fix this ??

APN Settings - Roaming still not working

So I noticed while I was in Montana that my phone was basically worthless. Roaming basically doesn't work. Even when I change from chameleon to Sprint, still nothing. APNs are populated, but I don't think they're populated perfectly. I've even flashed back to stock, but still have the same settings. I'd be very interested to get someone that has NEVER rooted to upload all their APN settings. Anyone?
Anyone else having roaming issues?
