Problem with applications - Touch GSM General

Hi guys,
I've got problem with my elf. I've got some cabs on my storage card and when I'm trying to install them, there's a question about localization for this applications. When I'm checking box at 'storage card' my elf's trying to install it on phone (it's trying to install it on phone, no matter what I've checked), where's only 11 mb free. Why I can't install aplications on storage card?
Card is free in 63%.
Btw. I don't know or is it important, but my OS is 5.2.1620
Thanks in advance
Sabtuz
Sorry for my bad English

Have you tried a hard reset?
Sometimes Windows Mobile..
You know.

I even change soft (onyx ultimate) and still same problem...

Try Onyx Micro, see how it goes.

Still same. Maybe sth in registry?

Have you tried changing microSD cards?
Make sure they are not write protected.

Hellow
Dose this occur with all (or some) programs because some programes are designed to run from main memory and not sd card

SD card free memory incorrect

I have a 256Mb SD card that suddenly reported itself as having only 40Mb free when the total of stored files was only 16Mb.
I had to reformat to reclaim the lost space.
Has anyone else experienced this with SD cards and, if so, what it the likely cause?
well file explore dont really display hiddenfiles so the card could have all kinds of those
other file managers like total commander display all files
hi. I don't have XDA 2 but I think it happen to most most ppc 2003 OS because you are install some software that do not fully support or not support wm 2003. ( it happen to me on h5555, h5400,e405) So you need to hard reset a few times.
Sd problems continued....
High
Well i have a similar problem, but could solve it with a soft reset.
Now i have another problem..... I dont know how, but my card is.... i dont know how to explain. let me start from the beginning.
When i got my SPV M1000, i also got a new SanDisc SD 256 MB.
I installed cuple o programs :
PHM ( Pocket Hack Master ) main memory
Pocket Mechanic Main Memory
Stuntman Evolution Sd Card
Crazy Cart Sd Card
just to give you some exaples.
I then copyed the exe files and a X back up on my card. to have them with me if needed.
After biing happy for a half week ( experimenting with PHM and Pocket Mechanic) and a lot of playing with my device, all of a sudden, my SD card was wiped out!!!
It was all gone!!!!!
I tryed to repair/reformat/restor with pocketmechanic but nothing.
Everythin was simply not there anymore ( im talkin about 30 meg of data!!!
Active sync tells me " unavailiable " when i try to install to the SD card, and when i chose to do it anyway.... it works.
Files get istalled just fine on my card.
Now for the interessting part.
Crazy Cart just stopped working!!!
" Cannot find "crazycart" or one of its components.
Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are availiable"
is the text i get when i try to start it.
Its happenig again...... its starting to ,lose files??
has anybody expirienced the same or similar ?
is my card broken eaven though POCKETMECHANIC TELLS ME ALL IS FINE?
Any help would be coooooooool
thanx
peace

micro$oft voice commander/ install to card but get error!!!

hi all,
not too sure if this is a problem that i have or others have experienced..
but i installed some software..namely
micro$oft voice commander
to the SD card instead of to the main memory..
firstly i get an error on setup saying that a critical error has occured during set up... then when i reset and begins to load in.. it says it cannot find the EXE. which is definatley there.
(M$voice is about 5mb! or so it says... so that's a lot of memory!)
nextly another test.. after a hard reset.. i installed it into the main memory... setup error message is still there.. (ignored). reboot.. then the program works okay..
does anybody experience this???? i am also having the same issue with BUTTONMAX.. why is it doing this?
i've read and (very hazy).. that upon a soft reset, the SD card isn't immediatley read thus can give you this error message. but everything should work okay... is this true for this instancE?
any light into this topic would be great (and tips!)
When installing MS Vioce Command you should have been warned that this program should be installed in main memory, otherwise it may not work properly!
insall it into storage... it fits exactly but there wont be any hicups - at least mine works great!
I did installed Micro$oft voice command into storage card too and it worked perfectly.
To do this, you can either
1) set Voice command to be the last program to boot after a soft reset. I use Dinarsoft Memmaid to enable this.
2) remove voice command shortcut in Windows\StartUp.
I don't use any of the above at the moment since I installed voice command into the storage of my xda ii mini.
ROM RAM SD CARD??
confused!
ROM vs RAM vs SD card... i'm a n00b! and i'm tired of installing try to make the 'perfect' cookie cutter!
Is the storage on the magician JUST as it is... STORAGE? It's not part of the RAM?
How much programs can you install into STORAGE? If you fill up STORAGE but allow maximum capacity for the RAM.. will this have any affect on the speed of your PPC?
What's the prime difference installing on the SD card & STORAGE? besides faster acces?
If you hard reset you loose the STORAGE.. so when you back up with SPRITE BACKUP... you should untick the persistant storage so that when you do 'restore' the mini... everything is back to normal?
sorry about the questions.. i did a keyword search but nothing came up.
thanks guys.

helpme pls!

i dont remember the last programm i install succesful.
memory about 28mband - programs 64mb.
you think my friend to do at least a hard reset? all programs i have install until then works great.
i reallocate the programs to sd card with pocket mechanic......
that must were my fault
thank you for your time and your answer!

Question about upgrading ROM

Hi there,
On my old HTC Diamond I installed everything to phone memory and so when I flashed it I just reinstalled all my apps. However, this time I have installed a large amount of them to the storage card. I don't remember my Diamond's storage card being flashed - so thats not the issue (I will probably remove the card before doing it anyway) - but my question is will my phone still see the installed apps on the memory card and put them in the start menu etc? Or will I be better off just uninstalling everything and re-doing it from scratch?
Also, is the new HTC Rom available in the UK yet?
bump?
surely someone can tell me

Check your HTC site in the UK to answer your own question.
Perhaps you should read more about how a flash works before you try with your HD2. Think of it this way: You have two hard disks in your computer, C and D. With Windows XP on C you installed all your programs on D. Then you decided to install Windows 7 on drive C, which copied over your XP. Do you think that Windows 7 will run the programs in D? The answer is obviously no.
The situation is similar when you flash a new ROM. With a file manager you could see the programs on your storage card, but that is all. You would have to reinstall all the programs for them to work.
Take care and understand everything you really need to know before you do decide to flash.

Memory card issue

I have a new problem every day!
Now, my memory card changes the name for memorycard2, and all the icones of programms I have installed in it is bloken. How can I fix it?
What version of energy is better, cookie ou standart? I cant connect with portuguese radio stations, I have 28.08.2010 rom version and 4.49.25.91. Do you think thats the better option?
Regards
I had the same problem when I decided to upgrade from WM6.1 to WM6.5, I didn't find any other solution than change the SD card. I have no technical explanation, just try different SD cards until you're lucky

This error normally happens, when u r connected in disk drive mode and an app using memory card is open. Phone doesn't detect a memory card and thus creats a folder "Memory card" in phone memory n store data in it.
To solve it, try this -
1. Remove memory card from phone
2. Delete "Memory Card" folder from phone memory
3. Insert memory card and reboot
If it doesn't work, format the card and everything will be fine.
P.S. - i faced d same problem and was not able to format the card in Windows XP. I then formatted using frnds' laptop, which had Windows Vista
