I have a problem, all of my Office Mobile programs except Onenote starts extreeemly slow. From the time I tap the icon it takes about 5 minutes for the programs to start.
As every other xda-member I´ve been messing around with my X1 alot, but I can´t figure out where It went wrong

Hi.
My wizard locks up as it loads the today screen after a soft reset
I sometimes have to soft reset it 10 - 20 times before i get a working today screen. I think it's due to applications that are on there starting all at the same time.
It gets really annoying sometimes when i cannot use my phone for 10 minutes or more.
I've got a mixture of applications starting including phm traylaunch, Resco today plugin, the tomtom today launcher, the radio display plugin and a few others off and on
Have disabled them one by one and nothing seems to help reliably.
once the today screen starts properly, the phone works perfectly until the next soft reset.
Does anyone have a solution for this ?
thanks,
malty
I have a problem w/ my HTC Touch Home (on the mogul) where it takes forever to load up when I boot up the phone (soft reset, etc.). The bottom portion of the Today screen is fine, but when the clock/6tabs portion of the Touch interface is suppose to load it just freezes and lags. After about 10-15 mins, it eventually loads up, and the funny thing is, everything is fine after that.
After a few hours of trial/error, I found that the culprit seems to be the "appointments" data I have (from outlook?). If I delete these, everything is fine.
So my question is, I could just delete my appointments every so often, but I have had my mogul for only a few months and I would think that a device like this would be able to hold more than just a few appointments before it slowed down, so I'm suspecting it's some inefficiency in the way it's booting up (maybe it's going through each one and checking something?).
In any case, I was wondering if anyone knew what was going on (and hopefully, if there's a fix for this). For now, I'm going to delete the appointments, but that seems like a really lame fix.
The HTC Home caused massive battery drain for me. I would go from 100 down to 40/50 after 6 hours with it, Data connection off and manual weather update.
I removed HTC home from my today screen and I would go from 100 down to 90 /80 after 6 hours.
tested about 3 times before I got done with HTC Home.
Yes it seem that my battery for my Sprint Mogul is going down fast with HTC Home.
Hi,
This is my first post here and obviously it's a problem related issue.
I have my HTC TOUCH HD, for about 1 week now.
Everything worked great, until yesterday, when i tried to install the following:
- installed the HTC Hotfix for responsivness, seemed to work fine.
- than i wanted my phoen call to be announced with voice, so i tried to findVoiceCommand (cracked, shame on me)
- downloaded something from this forum, that was posted on rapid share.
Oh Joy and than the problems started:
- It gave an error when installing
- than o n reboot, it toook waaay to long to boot up.
- than i tried to go into the settings to remove it.
Now, EVERYTIME i try to enter the settings, it just freezes, i can not access anyting any more, not even the upper power button, only taking out the battery will work.
Rebooting, i used total commander (thank God i had it installed before) to delete the startup link for voice commander and the entiere voice commander folder.
Now, unfortunate this did not do the trick.
Accessing the settings button will still freeze my HD (
I am very very very frustrated, do not know how to restore it to previous state. Pretty please someone can guide me what to do ?
Thank you in Advance.
ps: everything else seems to work fine, though
Do you think hard reset is the best way??
Yes, unfortunate, this was my only solution.
After digging for more than 4 hours, sleeping 4 hours, digging more hours, i gave up and did a hard reset.
(i even had to digg that up too )
Now everything is back to normal, BUT my weather application is not updating through GPRS / 3G any more, only through wireless.
There is no option for me to set it through what connection it should connect
(Only in coinnection manager, and there its set fine, i already tried everything, and internet seems to work, just fine)

Same thing happend to me. I have now managed to get back into my settings. I think there are two ways.
1. Use active sync to remove the program
2. I installed the 1.5 trail version (which doesn't run) but let me back into settings so I could uninstall MSVC and then uninstall the trail.
start up still seems a bit slow and the first time you press settings it is a little slow going in but after the first time it is fine.
The better option might be a hard reset but it isn't one for me at the moment as I have far to much stuff to re-install and setup. I really want MS voice commander but I am to scared to try and install any versions
sound like the program had a virus maybe
go to startup in windows explorer and remove the shortcut related to it. this will solve the problem.
Damn stop listening to people that quickly tell you to hard reset.
I had a similar problem in which i couldn't access Settings to remove the program that was causing it.
I connected the phone to ActiveSync and you can easily the program from there. Problem solved.
Another way to uninstall would be to launch the CAB file again (the one with the "bad" program). You will asked if you should remove the old version first, say yes, then cancel installation when it asks where to save the new version. Together with a soft-reset thereafter, in most cases it should work out ...
Hi there,
I have been using Styletap for a while and everything was fine, the Styletap Launcher and the applications i used were really fast. But all of a sudden the Styletap Launcher started taking a long time to load, by long time I mean around 20 seconds to load, so as you can imagine, it really becomes unusable.
The initial screen appears as fas as always, the problem is that I can not select any of my programs for around that period of time. I noticed the battery indicator in the palm environment appears for less than a second and then it dissapears, as long as the battery indicator is not there, I can not select anything. When it appears again, I am able to begin working in the Palm OS environment. I have tried unchecking the "battery" indicator in the preferences screen but the problem remains.
If I use any application icon directly, I get a blank screen for about the same 20 seconds and after that I get my Palm Os application on the TP.
I thought about the amount of free memory and started moving my applications to the SD memory (microSD). I am running with 47.5MB of free storage memory and 55.55MB of free program memory. Sound like enought to me but the problem remains, I made a soft reset after that but nothing happens.
Any clues that might help me?
Regards,
Looks like nobody else had this problem... just in case someone comes here from Google. My problem disappeared after flashing my Treo Pro to 6.5, do not know why but in stock 6.1 ROM Styletap and Garmin XT sometimes took longer than a minute to start!
Just update your ROM and you are done!
Hi all
I installed Kies today (on win vista 32bit) but I find it intolerable slow to startup (2 to 3 mins with sgs2 either on or off) and really slow to respond. Example it takes almost 1 min to enter any menu option !
Does this happens to anyone else ?
So that you know this version is a cryptic update (people have to guess the update log as usual)
Kies_2.0.1.11053_66_6.exe from the older
Kies_2.0.0.11044_11_3.exe (too slow also)
i am also very unhappy with Kies.
I am only installing it for usage and then uninstalling immediatly. it slows down my pc and brings random error messages.
unacceptable piece of software.
I have not used Kies a lot just to transfer video`s and it works fine, it takes about 15 seconds or so to detect my SGS2
Around 30 seconds for cold start and 5 for a hot start, it's about as slow as firefox used to be, after start up is fast and responsive
