This app is great IF you have an HD . . .
If you use it on the Diamond the pictures get squashed vertically.
I think it is something to do with the software creating an image with target size of 480 x 696 rather than 480 x 640.
I have tried messing around by using an original file by stretching it vertically to the point that when the created cab file is installed the Diamond squashed it back to the correct resolution the picture should be. This has not gone well
So, anyone else tried this OR is there another app which will easily allow a wallpaper on EVERY tab on the Diamond running TF3D2 ???
I am using the excellent Gen.Y D2 R1.1[WM6.1 B21051][TF3D2] Cab
Thanks, Col

I am running the original T-Mobile Windows mobile 5.0 rom and have installed the htc home application so the weather function works on my MBW-150 watch. But the display is cropped on the top and bottom,I have tried different vertions but still no luck. Any help or pointers would be great
Have you tried removing Today plugins one at a time to
see which is crowding the display?
no even if there is only the htc plugin on the today screen its the same,If too many items are displayed a scroll bar is shown.
search for vga htc home plug in
What DPI setting are you using?
I am running the vga version, and the dpi is at what ever the standard WM 5 is (unless I am missing somthing and I can alter the DPI on WM5 ?
just got a XT7501 and facing the same problem. does anyone know the solution?
That version of the HTC home, which was an earlier version hacked to work on the Athena, only displays correctly at 96dpi.
If you want that to display properly, you need to install RealVGA, which can be found very quickly by searching these here forums, or try the new one in the AP4 addons cab.
Amazing what searching can do!!
**sarcastic rant over**
Well, I'm somewhat confortable with the standart resolution which brings me large buttons to touch on the go. Since I had HTCHome on my TyTNII, I was supposing they will work with standart resolution also. Guess I'm totally wrong and will need to read more about VGA, RealVGA, etc.

I will suggesto to go in the athena wm6 section, AP4 thread, download AP4 addons.rar, extract HTC HOME all DPI and test it!

As Sergiopi suggests that version of the HTC home will work in all DPI's, but you will not be able to use the HTC home Customizer application to change the icons, fonts, etc
There is also another HTC_HOME_VGA.cab that works in all DPI's and also allows you to use the customizer app.

Cab in above post
I was disappointed to see that the HTC Diamond Keyboard CABs found here on XDA-DEVS were all for QVGA. I wanted to test it out on my Dell x51v, but the keyboard would not display correctly.
So what I did was extract the image files from the CAB, resize them to double their resolution, and recompile them into these two CAB files for ease of installation. All the CABS do is overwrite the image files installed by HTC Diamond keyboard to VGA equivalents. You must fully install the keyborad and languages from another CAB file BEFORE installing this CAB file to work.
Note: I admit, resizing images is not the best method of converting QVGA to VGA. Some images may appear blurry. How good this displays for you depends on how sharp is the screen on your device. This will at least allow you to try the keyboard on a VGA device.
I installed the Gullum Diamond Keys CAB found here. I prefer it over P1Tater's version found here because it seems to work well on my device. The images were extracted from P1Tater's because it has all languages in one cab.
The "ENG" Cab file contains the images needed for the english keyboard.
The "OTHER" Cab file contains the images for ESN, RUS, WWE, FRE, PTG, NORDIC, GRK, GER, and ARA.
(Please post if a true VGA version of Diamond Touch Keyboard surfaces)
Someone sorta beat you to it, I think.

Hope that helps.
wow this is stupid. the original manila keyboard files aka diamond keyboard files are vga and have been resized to qvga. get the vga files and they will look like they should and be original vga.
Yeah, the original VGA graphics would be much better, but without them the only alternative is to upscale the QVGA graphics or redrawing from scratch.
Since I know the true VGA graphics are out there somewhere, redrawing is unnecessary and a waste of time. This was quickly done. I described this as a temporary fix in the OP. Some people may not care about the fuzziness. Once the true VGA CAB is release, this will gladly become obsolete. LennySH from HTCGeeks says he has the VGA graphics and should be releasing a better fix. Use this if you want to try the keyboard now and use the better version when it comes out.
Note, this overlays the graphics for all three keyboard, not just the QWERTY like the other post.

All I can say is that I dont have that problem using the Gullum CAB with English Keys. See first post images.
Edit: I just realized you may be refering to numbers being typed instead of letters in keypad. I experienced this once, when switching to another program while the keypad was up, only numbers would be entered. I found the only way to reset back to text entry was to hit the "options" key, then close down the settings panel. Letter entry would be restored.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I noticed that as well that in order to reset back to text entry is to go to the options but this is such a pain.
Hope that there will be a fix for this soon.
Thanks again.

Well, I think you did a fantastic job!! It installed fine on my x51v, and looks great! Now thumb typing is easy! I love using the 20-key Diamond keyboard!
Props and thanks for doing this!
will this keypad work in Opera Mobile 9.5?
I found that the QVGA ones didn't produce any letters in, say the google searchbar
I have a problem with your keyboard - I've installed it and it appear as keyboard but I can't use it, I can't write any letters. Must I first install gullum's program?
thanks!

I have an Touch HD and a Kaiser I use AC S2u2 on both. The gif files cover the entire screen on the Kaiser, but not on the HD. Does anyone have a place to download large in size gif files. I tried converting some to larger file but only got a still(non0moving) copy of it.
Thx.....nobody hoping to become somebody in my wife eyes.
need to ask a few questions...
first up, what are you displaying the gifs in? Photo viewer?
secondly, what did you use to resize it?
Simply using (say) Paint Shop won't do it - you need to use an animation app such as the Animation plug in for PaintShopPro - which then resizes each frame.
i have photoscape...you can change every gif is verry good for me.change in 480x640 that run on hd
ps.sorry for my bad english
I tried for example the Hellboy theme but that scaled touchflo to 640x480 so i was wondering where are some/a lot of 800x480 themes or something?
any one???
i found one site but they only had a couple

I made one ^_^ search this forum for "Shadowsong". It's a start, but I'm working on more.
It's TF3D 1 btw.

You decompile the wvga lua and fixed vga lua. Then you just change the thing needed for the fullscreen fix and ignore all of the vga ported values. I did this for 2016 and have attached my EXT for you.

Glad you want to learn . I use luatool by cookiemonster to decompile the lua files and notepad++ to compare/edit them. You can recompile with luatool or m9editor easily.
