I have followed all the posts for moving applications from the device root to the sd. This worked flawlessly...
Does anyone know how to fix the issue where the Market no longer recognizes the applications that are installed? Or does anyone know how to get applications to update to the SD?
Thanks all.

How to install apps on HD2 Andriod builds?
I have tried installing a few apps via andriod market but they all "close unexpectedly" and a force quit is required. Can someone explain how to install the builds. I am using warren's 0.4 build SD build. Also what is QR code?
You'll find info on QR code here, but simplistically it is a bar code link to the rom/app you want to download.
As for the FC's and app install issues, you'd probably do best to ask in the devs thread as others may also be experiencing the same problem and know of a work around. Your sd card could possibly be corrupt and may require a reformat.
As for the bar code scanner I get that off the windows market or android?
Plus my sd card is fine atm. ty tho
Android
Some said that I should unmount my sd card, then dl and install the apps and it should work. Yet you say that I should use QR to dl and install app.
Both cases work or what? ty for ur continuous help btw
I wasn't really punting the QR method, you just initially asked what it was so I gave you some info
If your sd card is ok, there are certain apps which do install if the sd card is unmounted first ie Angry Birds. You can try that also.
i used gingerbreak to root 1.8.3 and now when im in the market it says my only apps installed are maps and youtube.
anyone else get this?
all the apps still work. only market doesnt recognize that they are installed
Sometimes Gingerbreak formats your entire internal SD card. I've never had it happen myself though. And I've rooted about 4 different times with gingerbreak.
it did format my sd. i backed everything up though and put it all back on the sd card
Yeah i had a very short list of apps that were there... and it did format my internal sd card the first time I ran it.... so maybe that's what the deal was. I flashed the 1.83 sbf today and ran gingerbreak again and it didn't format the card.
Not sure what a fix would be, but it would be nice to get updates for those apps eventually.
settings, applications, manage applications, all tab, market, clear data
should solve it

I tried that and it didn't seem to help.. I was hoping it would re-enumerate the applications. Not sure If I've rebooted since then though... let me try that.
UPDATE: Clearing data and rebooting worked.
It seems that any Nand Android ROM that I flash will not allow me to dl from the market. The market is accessible as I can search for an app but I alwyas get Downloas was unsuccesful. Any ideas because I have no problem when flashing WP7. Am I stuck with 7 for now?
Have you tried to unmount the sd card then download an app?

That did something. Does that do something to the Card? When I first flashed, Google Backup dl a lot of apps. They all seem to be gone but are back in the markert. I am very thankful.
No it doesn't really do anything to the card. The card just interferes somehow with the market. But strangely, that problem should be gone in these builds. Are you using an old build? (say a build form january) Or an up to date build?
You mean the google backup downloaded back all your apps and installed them, but now when you go to my apps, they are not there?
Or do you mean when you search for an app, it doesn't show up?
If it is the first, i'm not sure.
If it is the latter, you can try market enabler and set it to t-mo/verizon, but doubt that'd help since I see that you live in america already.

Wrong forum buddy. Can't help you much as I don't think the devices are alike..
The general process is
Root the device
Flash a custom Recovery
Make a nandroid/backup through recovery
Do a full Wipe
Flash the ROM(flashable zip)
And done..
Hi there. Maybe someone can help me. I searched already and it seems that no one other have this problem. i only found solutions with rooting.
in latest update samsung brought the app2sd funktion (Build JDQ39J9505XXUBMEA).
It works fine, i can move parts of my apps to my SD card. Now there are 8GB on external SD. (apps roundabout 6GB)
But now the problem - the apps still stay in the internal storage, too ... in full size. so the size for apps is still at 6GB. move back and try again don't help. even when i move a 1,9GB game from SD to internal, the internal gets 100mb fuller. maybe there is a failure in read out the storages....
i hope some other people have the same problem, i don't want to reset my phone or try anything in this way and maybe its a general problem, then i hope i can wait for a new update.
so, anyone here with a similar problem?
thanks

Hi,
The latest firmwares will let you move the apps to the sd card, but they will not move the data.
This does not help at all.
The only way to do this is to use FOLDERMOUNT
You must be rooted for this.
