Hi
I realy don't understand what you want us to do for you.
You downloaded the orginal rom from HTC, well based on wiki we have around 20 orginal roms in at least 7 orginal languages.
Now you cant sync, well from what to were, are you sync exchange, files, music, pictures, form what are you doing this (mac, xp, PC).
Anyone have a solution, well I think not as we still don't understand your problem.
Give us more info and maybe we can help you.
Anyway I have moved this out of Development as it has little to do with DEV
I had an issue like this recently - USB connection was working fine, I could use HD as a storage device, but when connected to active sync it would connect for a brief moment and then disconnect.
Everything went back to normal when I've deleted /Storage Card/WMDRM directory and all it's contents (actually just one file). Didn't investigate this further, but it seems like some partnership data is stored in that dir.
For safety reasons you might want to copy this dir to a safe place before deleting.
Hope this helps.

Hey guys. The Special Edition ROM is a good idea, but I've just lost all connectivity with my XDA:
After installing the new ROM Image, I'm unable to use Active Sync (therefore unable to flash the old ROM provided by Othaman OR to get my data restored from the laptop), PIE or any other service. The device will just not connect to anything else.
Any help with restoring the previous ROM would be greatly appreciated - if only I could get my XDA to connect with ActiveSync....
Please help - my XDA is as good (or as bad) as a phone now...
You can install a new ROM via the SD-Card and the bootloader....
Regards
Stefan
Okay here's the difficult part:
1. I have a couple of SD Cards with me, but no reader.
2. Am currently in Africa for a couple of months, so no way of getting hold
of a reader for that period at least.
3. I do have my old Sagem WA3050 (Win CE 2.11) with a compact flash card (128 mb).
4. This sounds tortuous, but would it be possible to (1) copy the old ROM Images to the storage card (Compact Flash) of my Sagem PPC; (2) Beam the files over to my Qtek P1010 and write it on to the SD Card; (3) Use this image now to restore the ROM
I'm desperate ! Need some way out !
PROBLEM SOLVED & ISSUE CLOSED
Turns out that Active Sync wont work with either Serial Cable or IR with the new Special Edition ROM. Hence had my USB Cradle flown down today and was able to sync. Flashed the new O2 RAM with a little help from AdaptROM.
Thank you, xda-developers for the suggestion (try using USB).
For those in a similar fix, try USB.
The new ROM, out today, fixes the original problem, and any other outstanding issues we're aware of...
I'm new to this forum and it seems like a great resource. I have seen this question answered but the answers are still above my head in terms of complexity. I've got an AT&T branded SX56 running 2002 and an XDA-Developers ROM (I think). It is unlocked, I am guessing through the use of an XDA Developers tool for unlocking. I'm in Colorado and using the phone with T-mobile. My question is this, I'd like to upgrade to 2003 and have downloaded the file to do so from Siemens website for free, which is great. It had some nice enhancements and I thought I'd upgrade to it. So, I downloaded/installed the new ActiveSync v3.71 and then tried to run the upgrade. I got the same message many have gotten apparently saying that the ROM Image is not compatible. The specs are;
current
Model PW10A1
ROM 3.17
English
upgraded
Model PW10B1
ROM A.30
English
In reading through the posts it seems that I need to upgrade the ROM of the device, but I still get lost looking at "cooking a ROM", etc and what exactly I need to do. Making this a little more urgent is the fact that after I tried to upgrade the phone (which gave me the ROM error) my internet connection on the phone (which was working fine) suddenly doesn't work with explorer or outlook on my phone giving me an error "Trouble Connecting; Unable to connect with current settings" even though I didn't change the settings and they look exactly as they did before. So, I feel like I've messed something else up on the phone even though it didn't get to install the whole upgrade.
So, any advice for a novice? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any help you can give.
Best regards,
chefandy
the official AT&T release for WM2003 is an exe file contains both ROM & RSU upgrade, and it aparently designed for PW10B devices (900/1900 MHz).
i think the first part of the faulty upgrade (usually RSU) affected your device ... i really hope not
chech your device info and tell us what's there. if u can still get to the boot loader screen and activesync can still connect to the device, then it's not a severe damage. I think successful RSU upgrade with the right stack would solve it.
I'm not sure what the boot loader screen is, but the device still syncs just fine and seems to be working ok except for the internet connection issue. The funny part is that I can connect to the GPRS connection by going to the connections screen, but then when I transfer to Outlook or Explorer they do not recognize the connection as something they can use.
Is the Siemens upgrade I downloaded (http://www.my-siemens.com/MySiemens...C%2FMC%2FSX56POCKETPCPHONE%2Fdanda%2F,00.html) different from the AT&T upgrade you mention? I also saw there was a T-mobile upgrade to 2003 but it was not available when I tried to download it from tmobile.com. Thanks!
That's great! .. ... It seems I misunderstood your issue ... I thought you lost the RSU part.
I think something wrong happens to the registry values ... you see, there is a reference for each defined connection in the registry which all applications that may require to connect to GPRS or WAP or MMS can refer to.
I suggest that you delet ALL connections and start the setting from scratch ... I can't guarantee it will work since some applications may be required to be uninstalled and reinstalled to use the new connections references (if it has smart uninstaller!!).
The last resort is a hard reset which will bring the registry to the original setup.
Well, I did what you suggested and started with a new connection and it worked  Thanks!
Now I'm back to the original question about whether or not I can safely upgrade to WM2003 or not? Thanks again for all your help.
The answer is YES! ... it's easy to upgrade ur ROM to WM2003 if u know what ur doing.
spend some time reading this forum on how to cook a new ROM from the kitchen ... and it's better to get yourself SD card for flashing and backup.
hi all,
I`ve just bought a used HP6915 on ebay, and i like it very much. However, there is a small problem - a CD wasn't included.. So I'd greatly appreciate if you could suggest some solution. The language of the device is Italian, but I would do fine also with Russian or English, if different languages fit together in the device.
Thanks a lot for any advice!
Get yourself a copy of Microsoft Activesync, and a copy of Microsoft Outlook. That should help you to get started. Though the cd includes, things like quickgps (which lets you update the assisted gps via activesync) HP Image transfer utility, HP Photosmart with Photosmart Mobile, and The Odyssey Access Client (only really needed if you require WEP or WPA on wifi but the built-in tool does just as well though many seem to prefer the Odyssey Client) and the Phone Data Manager updater (the tool finds out helps you set up your network settings for WAP, GPRS/EDGE, SMS)
ATTENTION !
to not attemp to write dirctlly a english version of the ROM !!!!
you will FOREVER burn your GSM module
so seek on this forum the change language for the 69xx and follow those instructions, and change it that way
good luck !
everything else you can do without Cd, just download activesync and you can transfer everything you want
good luck
Hi there,
I just received my phone from Orange, the french operator.
Rom version is 1.43 something. I ve just been messing around a little with the phone and have encountered a few problems. I d like to know of you guys have the same issues:
- Synchronizing with hotmail: My hotmail password was 17 letters long (and had special characters) and I wasn t able to sync my Leo. I changed the password to 8 letters (and no special characters) and was able to sync
- Copying large video files to SD: When I use the Explore function of my active sync and copy large files (300mb) to my sdcard, it takes forever. The bar advances progressively, then starts back from 0, and so on. After 5 minutes, it seems to finish the copy. When I launch the file, it s corrupt.
The originial file works. The funniest thing is that if I copy the file back from the SDcard to the laptop, the file won t launch anymore
- Copying files with the "transfer function": Ok this works real fast. I can copy large files from my laptop to my SDcard in seconds. When I unplug the Leo, and use the explorer to find the files... well they just aren t there.
If anyone is having the same issues, please help me out.
Thx,
Ben
About the files you can't see. First you have to disconnect the cable or change the USB to PC mode to ActivSync (something). Then you will be able to see your files in the file explorer.
And after a restart, you are still unable to see your files on the storage card, install Resco Explorer and browse your Storage Card with that. It happened to me onece.
And about copying files in ActiveSync mode: It's natural. ActiveSync ain't for copying big files. It's just for syncing your device with your PC. So, it's the same for everyone.

Dunno about hotmail issue as I don't use it.
But, had file copy issues using WMDC in my Vista pc.
I have started using Disk mode nd no problems.
Try formatting your memory card in device if u have issues still.
I ve tried that, but it still doesn t work. I ll format my SD when I get home and try a few other things...
BTW, is there a simple way to backup my original Orange rom before I flash and HTC rom on the Leo?
Thx,
Ben
Issues with the SD card are cleared. The SD card is simply dead. I put another one in and everything works ok
The question is: when I installed the official ROM from Vodafone the hd2 sync everything quickly and smoothly. The problem comes when I install any ROM (Centaur, Miri, etc.) are installed and functioning perfectly well, but when trying to synchronize with your pc does not go. It connects, but not synchronize anything at all (or contacts or anything) and no way, so I have to reinstall the original ROM.
I quickly install the HDSSL without problems (in fact let me put what I want).
I think, auqnue not much of this, it may be some drivers with Windows 7. If anyone knows that passes we would appreciate help, as need to upgrade, and understand me.
Thank you
