Hi all,
can somebody tell me pleasa how I can enter a username when I'm using the fileExplorer and tapping "Menu->Go To->Open Path->\\fritz.box\Media"?
My WinMobile only asks for a "network password" but I'm not able to enter a username.
Thanks,
Halla

but i have no mms profile on my spv just seeing is there a cab file to sort this out or what is need to fix this problem thanks
Download and extract an ext rom from the ftp then install the mms cab file to your device then apply the settings for your provider.
hi thanks for your help so far as i am still new two all this would you be able to send me the link and some more info on how do set it all up thanks
You could use this Orange GPRS & MMS setup cab.
Copy it to your phone & run it & all the settings will be installed for you.
If your pay as you go you will need to make a slight tweek to the mms settings (remove the "C" from the server name)
Hope this is helps.
If Mister B's last post won't be of help to you, here's the link to the ftp's ext roms; ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Magician/Extended_Roms/. Download and extract the zip file. What you need is the cab file which part of its filename is MMS. You'll have to go to your provider's support home page for mms settings.
still no luck
hi thanks for all your help so far i have try Orange_UK_Contract_Magician.CAB still not luck it still not working
i try to have a look on the ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Magician/Extended_Roms/ but i get a error windows cannot access this folder make sure you typed file name correctly and that you have
premission to access the folder
so what the next best think to do thanks
This may sound stupid, but you need to log in to have access to the ftp. Maybe it is some setting in your browser. Try using an ftp program and use xda for the username and password.
FYI I can not log into this site via PIE on my Audiovox 6800. For some reason once I enter the password and click login the password field clears it's self out.

Click to collapse
Are you sure that you can't write the password? Linux doesn't show any ***** (stars) when you type password.
thank you but i cant still find what exactly is the pass i tryed with user:root pass:rootme it says login incorrect
already tried login:root pwd:root ? When you type the pwd the cursor won't follow the keystrokes
If you're using the latest kernel, username is root, and pwd is <BLANK>
Though, I recommend using SSH rather than relying on the hw keyboard
using the latest version of linwizard the the user name is "root" and the password is blank and as of the last time i used it the keyboard had no problems.
I am a newbie user of linux and unfortunatly cant code if my life depended on it but im following this and the android porting thread in the vouge forum closely hoping somehow they figure a way out to get proper linux on this phone. It would be really awesome to pull out my Windows Mobile phone and have linux running on it.

I want to get my galaxy tab on my company's network.
I can issue the certificate in a .p12, export it giving it a password lets say "cert", sent it to my tab, but when i go to install it, it asks for the password, i put in "cert" and I get a "Please enter the correct password" error message.
Have any clue what is going wrong?
I think I had to rename my cert to either .pfx or .p12. Only one of them worked.
Apart from that, make sure you're using the password you used to sign the certificate - it may be different than your wifi password.
I had no problem importing a .p12 file with a password for my wireless network. Worked just the same as on my Android phone.
Make sure you aren't confusing the certificate password with the certificate store password. The certificate store has its own password which prevents unauthorized access to imported certificates.
If you don't have any other certificates, you can start from scratch, from Settings -> Location and Security I would do:
* Clear credentials
* Set password (this is the password used to allow access to credentials, you will need to enter this every time your tab is rebooted to allow access to your cerificate by the wireless stack)
* Ensure 'Use secure credentials' is ticked.
* Choose 'install from USB storage' to install your .p12. At this point it will ask for the password of the .p12 file
If that doesn't work, I would guess the problem is in how you are generating it. (Mine was provided for me so I don't know how that side of things works)
