Install cab and click on mplayer icon. Use joystick for menu navigation
It support all codecs and you can customize it easily by editing
menu.conf for Menu Items
input.conf for key encodings
codecs.conf for codec related things
Limitation:
1. While playing it is not possible to hide mplayer window [SDL issue]
2. No UNICODE support. Support is not in cegcc so I am not able to do anything right now may be i will modify cegcc later.
In progrss:
1.real file support [90% done]
2.Directx support [50% done , if you want use directx edit config file and replace vo=sdl to vo=directx:noaccel and fs=1]
3.wma support [100% forgot to include in this release will add in next build]
[Note : all config files are in \My Documents\mplayer\ folder]
Log:

Download :
http://rapidshare.com/files/238300198/mplayer.cab.html
Placed everything in the right place and gave it a run. I have a Samsung Omnia with a WinMo 6.1 rom.
I noticed I doesn't seem to suport uniconde. The "Storage Card" drive is called "Cartão de Memória" in my localization and mplayer crashes everytime I tried to launch it... Really hope you fix this one. Also hope you add a simple GUI soon.
Also may I suggest that the file that need to be placed in the "My documents" folder be placed in the same folder as the mplayer.exe instead.
And please release the source.
doesent work for me, i tried to open AVI Files and MP3's too
this is the log file i have :
Code:
MPlayer SVN-r29318-4.1.0 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team
135 audio & 296 video codecs
Playing \Storage.
File not found: '\Storage'
Failed to open \Storage.

File not found: 'Card\Movies\Heroes_-_S01-_E05_-__Hiros_PocketPC.avi'
Failed to open Card\Movies\Heroes_-_S01-_E05_-__Hiros_PocketPC.avi.
Is there a GUI? Because I can't see anything when I launch it...

I noticed I missed that. I was already editing my post when you replied
Also just tried an FLV1 file from my device memory (from "Cartão de memória didn't work). At first the file wouldn't play but then I used WVGAFIX3 to change my device resolution from WQVGA to QVGA and it worked. Seems like it deslikes wide screens.

attach log.txt , that will give better idea why exectution failed
For the directory name charater issue (Cartão de memória) it just crashes on launch. It was when I tried to launch mplayer directly (before I edited the post). I was however how I found the issue. If I try the "Open with" and the media file is in any dir which characters like those it just wont open...
Also strangelly enough the same video file is no longer crashing in WQVGA resolution?! Only GSFinder+ (my file manager) crashes. I did a reset since that so maybe it was a problem with my device and not mplayer. Still the character issue remains.
Here's the log.txt (media in "Cartão de memória") for when it failed and worked.log when it played (in a different path)

yes it is more likely because of no unicode support right now. I have idea how to support so that will be fixed in next build.

Guys, great site, especially now since I've got my vario II .
I could not find anything on site about it. I installed different media player on Vario II, I didn't like so deleted it later. Now when I click on *.mp3 file it says "there is no application associated with *.mp3", but if I load this file from Windows Media player, then it plays. Does anyone know how I can change to the way it was before. Hard reset does not help... strange, but when I do hard reset it does not remove all the programms that I installed on Vario II. Thanks.
Install Total Commander on your device. Then, open it up and find an MP3 file in the (total commander) explorer window... Shift-tap, and hit Properties. Go to the Associate tab, and if the filetype is associated correctly, it should read .mp3 -> MP3File. If you hit the Associate button underneath, you can open up the advanced parameters for associating the file.
The correct settings (well, the default settings anyway) are:
Command:
wmplayer.exe
Parameter:
"%1"
Icon file:
wmplayer.exe
Index:
-2002
You can also scroll through the list of icons contained in the .exe once you choose the file. You can also hit the [>>] buttons next to the Command and Icon file boxes to choose the application file for the Command and Icon file respectively... You might think "wtf?" but as soon as you follow the steps above in Total Commander, you'll understand what I'm on about.
Christopherwoods, many thanks for this.
I downloaded Total commander 2.0, but this version does not have Associate function. Could any one advise the version that has it or possible help with the link where it can be taken.
Thanks.
Just an update on the issue. If someone has similar problem Total Commander 2.5 has the Associate Tab to change atributes of files. So *.mp3 files are recognised correctly now.
how can ı open youtube video with herald...ı download flash but ı can't open videos
USE OPERA 8.65 AND Flashplayer7
FIRST INSTAL OPERA AND Flashplayer7 AFTER THIS U CAN VIEW YOUTUBE VIDEO
ı install opera and flash long time ago...but ı cant open...when ı click the video it says "you either have javascript turned off or an old version of macromadia flash player" but ı have last version of flash and opera...and ı also have java..
You can't because youtube uses a newer flash player than flash 7.
You can search by google on something called Tinytube, That's a website that you can open with your mobile. This website converts youtube video's to .3gp online.
opera and flash 7 does work. problem is the wing comes to a crawl when trying to play videos. but yea, you can actually see the flash player videos working in the browser.
use TCPMP
another option is it use TCPMP with this program/plugin called tcpmp FLV plugin I have been using this for a while and it works rather nicely. Just download whatever youtube video u wanna watch directly to your device and then view via tcpmp.
i downloaded the plugin you posted, but how do you install it?
the read me says:
How to use the source code!!
1. download the TCPMP full source code "tcpmp.src.0.72RC1.tar" from its official site.
2. Extract the tcpmp.src.0.72RC1.tar file to a folder
3. Delete the ffmpeg folder from the TCPMP source code folder
4. Extract the two folders in tcpmpflvplugin-v0.3-src.zip to the TCPMP source code folder
For Visual Studio 6.0 users:
5. Just open the tcpmp.dsw in the source folder and add the flvsplitter project to the workspace.
6. Compile the flvsplitter project and ffmpeg project.
7. Rename the ffmpeg.plg to flvffmpeg.plg in the output folder.
8. Done. You have got the plugin files, flvsplitter.plg and flvffmpeg.plg.
For PalmOS SDK developers:
Please help me to compile it and send the PalmOS version of this plugin to me. Thanks.
are there more files that need to be downloaded from the main site?
i didn't have the ffmpeg folder... but it has trouble unzipping the 2 folders....
how do you compile projects? i'm confused... any help would be appreciated. thanks!

when you go this website http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ you download either one of the exe files under the titile windows mobile activesync depending if you are installing this on a windows mobile phone or a windows smartphone. the exe files are used to install via active sync. if you want to install directly from your phone then you can download one of the cab files depending on what kind of phone you have. and run cab file directly from the phone itself.
after you install that download all the additional plugins for all platform and install them. then go to the link for flv and download those files. then copy paste the .flv files in folder you installed tcpmp which you will find in program files on your device. if you installed in the storage card then go to the storage card and then program files.
flv plugin has a youtube downloader app. launch the app and open internet explorer and go to the youtube video you wanna watch copy paste the url in the youtube downloader app and download it. then turn on tcpmp and play it.
I have a feeling this problem has to do with Windows Mobile 6 security polices but am not sure exactly where to look. I get this error message when trying to download files using Internet Explorer sometimes.
One example is Handango Inhand, at http://mhgo.com/t-mobile/Welcome.jsp. I get the error "This device is restricted from downloading this file type" after clicking the "download file" link.
I've searched and read all the posts I can find about this message on google. The closest I came to an answer was it could have to do with Exchange server restrictions (I sync with one at work) so I removed the sync relationship and I have the same problem.
Anyone know a way around this error?
hard boot/reset fixed it. Still not sure what caused it.

VipMSCRexe is a utility to run MortScript without Assigning .mscr extension to MortScriptexe.
How to Use it
Rename exe to your scriptname.exe e.g if your script name is sashimi.mscr then rename this VipMSCRexe.exe to sashimi.exe
This utility will first find MortScript.exe in Current directory and Sub directory under it
if not found then look in \Program Files and sub directory
if still not found then look in \Storage Card\Program Files
if still not found then look in root directory.
Once MortScript.exe found then find <exename>.mscr in same above fashion.
Once script found then execute command like MortScript.exe scriptname.mscr parameter1 parameter2 etc.
Advantages of this Utility
you can have only one installation of MortScript and may be all your script in one another folder.
Now if you want to call any of script copy this exe and rename to your scriptname.exe
Basically if you have script name sashimi.mscr then copy this exe and rename to sashimi.exe and put it in any folder
Root or storage card any where and run exe will execute your script you do not give any path or tell where it located etc.
To me MortScript.exe only support one parameter where as this Utility support multiple parameter
Version 1.0
Initial version
Version 2.0
Make changes so that Arguments are passed properly
Performance Improvement using config file
Version 3.0
Performance and Special Chars Handling in Mortscript's Path
Version 5.0
Performance improvement Using registry values
Version 6.0
Fixed Langeuge issue
Fixed Error Handling Routine
Very interesting. I have several uses for this right away so I'll download it and test. Many thanks for sharing!
Just want to note that although this is a fine tool (I'm using it for SASHIMI), if you DON'T need to pass parameters to your program you would be better off to use a renamed Autorun.exe file from the MortScript download.
The only reason I say this is becuase of the delay that VipMSCRexe has when locating/opening the script.
But, if you need to pass parameters to your script, this is the tool!

Hi all,
I know many of u guys out there must have atleast faced a problem of syncing with Mediamonkey and our beloved HD2.
I for one was extremely fed up and asked the MM support staff about this.
I did see the one post where a guy had asked about this...
However here is the solution :
===========================================================
Problem : MM not syncing to desired path in HD2 storage card, with the songs being placed in the root directory.
===========================================================
Solution : (as posted by MM)
Some Zen devices, Sony Walkman NWZ-A828 and several Mobile phones ( Nokia 5800, HTC Desire) exhibit a bug
with MediaMonkey causing synchronization to copy tracks to the device's
root directory, ignoring the destination mask. In the sync may be
incomplete. A generalized fix is not yet available, however, a workaround
that is specific to these devices is to modify the MediaMonkey.ini file by
adding the following:
[WMDM]
COMApartmentThreading=1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The MediaMonkey database stores all information in the MediaMonkey library, including
Track Metadata, Synchronization rules, and Filter configuration. Most configuration data
is stored in an .ini file that saves configuration information on a per-user basis (the
exception being some configuration related to Views which is stored in the registry).
These files are stored in different locations depending on the version of MediaMonkey
and the operating system.
To modify any of these files, first make sure that MediaMonkey has been closed. You can
then use the following tools to edit the files:
o .ini files can be edited with a text editor such as Notepad
o .mdb files can be edited (at your own risk) with Access (MediaMonkey 2.x)
o .db files can be edited with various tools that support SQLite
Here are the default locations of these files:
MediaMonkey 3.0:
o Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MM.DB
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini
o Windows 7 / Vista:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\MM.DB
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini
MediaMonkey 2.5:
o Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\My Documents\My Music\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.mdb
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\My Documents\My Music\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini
o Windows Vista, MediaMonkey 2.5 is not Fully compatible with Vista
See: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=56
NOTE: If you cannot see these files, it likely means that you need to enable viewing of hidden files/folders.
In Windows explorer, go to Tools > Folder options. Select the View tab and check "Show hidden files and folders".
The folders and files listed should now be accessible.

Feedback
hey to all u ppl who use MM, do leave ur feedback on the above .
\BTW : MM is the best syncing music software there is ...
Extremely good for ur HD2
I've never had a problem with my hd2 and MM. I just click disk drive on my hd2 when connecting it. Make a folder called My Music in the sdcard. and right click on my hd2 playlist, click send to and navigate to the My Music folder.
Edit: My bad it wasn't synced. Or at least I never tried to.

Ahh true.. the playlist function works in that regard...
But what i pointed out was that when u setup custom directory listing in MM to sync
For eg
/Music/Artist/Album/Song title
*I do this coz i use S2P*
MM was not following any rules in regard to this area.
Thank you!
I have a HTC Incredible and when I switched to Windows 7 I started having this problem. After editing the .ini file I no longer have any issues...
