Hey guys, it's my first post!
I have a super slow hermes. I already cleared storage and and "wiped" the handset. I also check in from time to time and kill programs. All I have is the home screen and black theme loaded up. No ringtones or songs or pics. Oh I do have three pics off my PC. Any ideas?
Thanks yall!
Robert
Oh yes and WM6
Memory is at 21.24 MB 'in use' for storage and 34.18MB 'in use' for program.
what rom? official or cooked?
As far as I know it is an official (I bought it yesterday). The rom is...5.2.1622. We are talking about the OS right?
Thank you for the very very fast response!

personally id read through the wiki and upgrade to a cooked 6.1 rom,
these dont include the dodgy bloatware installed with the official roms - hence saving ram etc.
Thanks I'll take a look at that!
Step 1 - Did you know programs, even when closed, keep running in the background? Just go in Settings>System>Memory and select the Running Programs tab. There you can close programs.
Step 2 - Too much Today plugins will slow down the device.
Step 3 - You might have resident programs running. An example is dictionaries with checkup from any program.
Step 4 - You can check for running process. Some programs allows you to see them. Look for unusual stuff here.
I hope it helped.

Thank you. Thats what I meant when I said I checked in and killed programs from time to time. I will keep a lookout for the odd stuff. Thanks again!

You bought it not so long to accormerdate the "slow response" of WM ? May be you'll find other WM machine has similar responding speed ?
I suggest making a compare to others first.
I had a Moto Q when they first came out and it was pretty slow but much faster than this phone. And my BB 8700C was WAY faster then this 8525. There must be something wrong with it, because when I get a text message and I open the keyboard and hit reply...it takes about two words to catch up to me. Say I type "Hey there", I can finish typing and when I look up it would be on like 'H' or 'e'.
I have the same thing, the official 6.0 At&t OS. I started fresh (no today plugins or anything) and it is the same thing. I was going to post a new thread, but I saw yours... Please let me know what you find out, I will try to find something, this thing is the slowest I have seen. I had a Wizard before, half of the processor speed and it was 3 times faster... Something is wrong. Thank you all for helping! Peter.
I have this problem since upgrading to vp3g v3.62. I had no problems with speed while using vp3g v3.0. I'm sure it has to be something with the ROM/build.
I have an Alltel HTC Touch, and I have a problem with WM 6.1; everytime I close out a game, it slows down my entire phone (and sometimes freezes it if I load an app like Opera Mobile). I've been to PPCGeeks about this, and they helped me a lot, by helping me overclock the processor. My phone doesn't slow down too much anymore, but the slowdown is noticeable enough to still be a problem.
I've flashed to at least six different WM6.1 roms now, and each of them gave me the same issue.
Does anyone have any fixes for this? I would really appreciate the help!!
SIDE NOTE:
Also, my camera is very laggy indoors. It ran perfectly smooth before my transition to 6.1, and it remains laggy when I flash back to the stock WM 6.0. Its bearable right now, but if anyone knows how to get it running smoothly indoors again, I'd really appreciate it!
For starters, this is not an issue with the OS.
What game is it?
How many other apps are running?
How many processes are running?
What ROM are you using?
What is the Page Pool size?
Thanks for the quick reply!
Uh oh... that means the problem lies with my phone. I hope it's a problem that can be fixed...
Do you know if there's anything I can do to fix this then?

LOL!
I'm trying to help you, but I can't until you answer some of the questions.
It's like calling a mechanic and asking what's wrong with your car, it runs a bit odd, but that's all the info given.
Sorry about the double post. My info's below.
Maybe a little more information will help.
My phone first started doing this when I flashed to the new Alltel WM 6.1 rom. I followed the instructions, doing EXACTLY what the tutorial (from HTC's website) told me to. After the flash everything worked fine except for my camera and the games (slowdown issue).
I hope this helps.
WOW, I am SO sorry, I didn't even see those questions! I thought they were a part of your sig and didn't read it
1. It slows down with any game I run except for the ones that come with the rom (solitaire and bubble breaker). The games I've tried are:
Acky's XP Breakout
4pinball
Anything on Pocketnester
Snails Reloaded
Turbo Invaders
Shift
Realms
More...
2. No other processes are running. The game is the only one.
3. The roms that I've used are (all of these are for Alltel):
Conflipper's Vouge 6.1 ROM
Crystal v.4 6.1 ROM
Official 6.1 ROM
Dette M2D Diamond Edition v2.3 (Generic rom. This is the one I'm on currently).
4. How do I find the pagepool size again?
Again, sorry about that. I didn't see your questions
I officially give up!

You should have followed the cookers instructions, if you did not follow their instructions exactly, reflash by their way.
For the camera, it's sometimes laggy, especially with low memory.

I haven't even seen half of these games, but PocketNES can be buggy. I suggest using dotfred's Task Manager and viewing CPU usage after playing these games. One of them may have a memory leak causing this.
Also check the other running processes for memoery consumption.

Ususally the cooker posts this, but I see he didn't, the basics on this is it determines your available program memory at all times, especially on boot up, if you really want to know, soft reset, wait a min or two and check the avail program memory. Or use nue's system tool to view additional info.
Also, trying using Oxios Memory, it's free and will free up all avail program memory not being used.
You can try schap's Advanced Config Tool to speed up various parts of your device for improvement.
Alright, don't want to sound frustrated, but I just watched some Hell's Kitchen !
You are a genius! Thanks for the suggestions. I'm gonna try them now and see what happens, and I'll be back with my results!
And, no, you didn't sound frustrated, even though if you did, I couldn't blame you
Thanks again!
Okay, I'm back. Using the task manager you suggested, I found the problem.
The game that I tested (4Pinball) is still running after I closed it. It doesn't show up on the quick menu in the upper right corner of the today screen, but it DOES show up in that task manager.
So I go to close it, and it says it can't be closed properly, and it asks me if I want to kill it. The strange thing is, the choices are ok and cancel instead of yes and no. But anyway, I hit ok.
then another message pops up, but there's no text in it; there's just an X there. After I close that message by hitting ok, I see that 4Pinball remains in the task manager, and it's still there even after I hit refresh.
I installed it to the storage card. Would there be a better chance of it working if I install to device memory?
Sometimes I got the blank message to, don't worry about that, but you have to kill the process for it to work.
Try uninstalling it and running without it.
I keep getting the blank screen... I tried to install it on both the storage card and the device memory, but in either case it doesn't close the game. I'll keep tryin'.
Oh yeah, and I tried that oxios memory program, but it didn't work... it would start loading, but it would never come up.
I remember hearing about a program that freed up ram over at ppcgeeks's forum. I'm gonna see if I can track it down.
Hi guys,
First and foremost, this is my first ever WinMo device (I've been semi-lurking on XDA for many months now )! I just started it using it yesterday, and I'm still on stock ROM. It'll take me a while before I grow a pair and start flashing like a crack-addict. Anyhow guys, I'm on the 1.18 ROM I think because when it starts up, this is what I see.
R 1.09.25.14
G 52.49a.25.26i
D 1.18.23358
Having said that, I do have a couple of questions that I hope some of you folks can help me out with.
1) Why is it that even when it's idling, up to 30 ~ 40% of the RAM is used? Is this a result of the TouchFLO3D and other background processes?
2) I've tried searching for this in this forum and nothing showed up...but, is it just me, or is my video camera extremely blur? Everything is out of focus? Can a screen protector influence this? I have a matte screen protector (which I'm loving by the way, hurray to no fingerprints!) with no hole cuts over the video camera.
3) With my previous phone, after sending an MMS (I have the 400-texts a month), the GPRS (Or is it Edge?) would stop itself. On the TouchHD, it shows that a data-connection, in this case; Edge, is still running. Is this normal? Do I have to manually go to the Comm-manager and disable the connection whenever I've finished sending an MMS? I disable it out of fear that I would get charged or something.
4) I find it very hard to look at my SPL version, as whenever I hold down both vol-keys and then power up the phone, I only see the tri-color screen for like 2 seconds before it asks if I would like to do a factory reset. Is this how it is supposed to be, or am I doing something wrong?
I'll try to keep all my future questions within this post as well, but for now, I have to say, I'm totally loving this phone. I've seen a couple of errors already, with issues like services.exe crashing and stuff like that. Regardless, I still have to admit that this phone is gorgeous, and totally awesome right out of the box. I still don't get what's all the hate towards WinMo, and yes, I'm totally fine with single-fingered touch!
Thank you to everyone on XDA. This site is a tomb of WinMo knowledge .
Cheers!
Congratulations on your first winmo device!!! And Congratulations on your new Touch HD!!!!
1)yes -- everything uses ram on your PPC even system(like on Desktop PCs)
2)Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=463783 find something that makes photo quality better, but it also might be Rom fault( I didnt have such problems when I had stock my rom 1.14
3)try NoData -- it will completely disable data connection!!!! Or downlaod HdTweak and I think that there are some settings that makes your phone to turn off data connection when idle!!!!
4)You need to hold only one volume down button and power button!!!!
read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=463783 and youl find all kinds of hidden features of your phone!!!!
If you have any other questions then ask -- the forum is friendly and people help in any way they can!!!

Kris,
Thank you very much! That helped a lot. I will look into getting something like NoData installed alongside HDTweaks or something. Also, thanks for clearing that up with the Bootloader. Im actually already itching to try out some of the custom cooked ROMS but I'm still debating if I should do HSPL or USPL.
Here are a couple of more questions:
1) I've been doing a lot of reading on the whole flashing thing, but if I'm going to go through the HSPL route, do I need to dump my original SPL before overwriting it with HSPL?
2) Does WinMo utilize registries like how the Desktop OS-es do when it comes to keeping track of installed and uninstalled programs? Like, when you install a program, and then uninstall it, does it still leave a registry trace? In short: Will your PPC bog down over time as a result of installations/uninstallations?
Thank you so far!,
Cheers.

1) dont know about that!! but Im using HSPL and Im happy with it !!!! there are alot of guides in the forum on how to get SPL back(i think),, anyways Im not a pro with SPL's n'stuff-- only with Winmo itself!!!
2) dont know exactly about that bog down, but your PPC will get slower with apps installed--for example- custom rom with no apps takes, lets say, 2 seconds to open windows folder, in file explorer,, but same rom with apps takes 3 seconds----but it is different with different roms!!!!
BUT if you start flashing custom ROMs then you wont notice speed drops due to app instal/uninstal -- cuz you will flash roms often, just to search for the perfect one
about hspl -- make sure you take the right one-- the one witch supports 1.56 rom, cuz alot of custom roms are based on 1.56 rom!!!

I have always only used USPL - mainly so that in case I have to send the phone in for something, the warranty won't be void. Although, if you have HSPL you could put the stock SPL back on.
Anyway, USPL has worked fine for me and I have flashed a number of times. I currently have Dutty's 3.7 XT ROM and I am happy with it. You'll find that once you flash a non-stock ROM, you'll never want to go back to a stock ROM.
I personally recommend going with USPL - unless you plan on flashing your ROM very often to try things out.
The first time I flashed, I was nervous and I read a bunch of info on it in preparation. Once you are well informed, it is a no-brainer. Where you can do some irrepairable damage is by disconnecting the cable during the flashing process (if you go the usb route). That would cause your phone to become a brick - and you have no choice but to send it in at that point. So, just make sure your battery is more than half full, and that you don't cut the connection in any way until the phone restarts itself. Other than that, you'll be fine.
Also, it is recommended that after a flash process, you hard-reset 2-3 times before using the ROM. I usually just take the battery out as soon as the "smart mobility" screen with the red ROM info at the bottom appears. Then I put it back in, hard-reset, and repeat that process 2-3 times. After that, let it boot fully and go through the screen calibration process etc.
Like Kristaps-K9-Lv said - make sure that you end up with a 1.56 spl because now most ROM are based on that.
And yes, after installing and removing many programs, your phone will become slower. When that happens, you can just hard-reset. And if you have a program like spb backup, (where you backed up your phone after you installed your standard programs and set up the phone to your liking), then you can just restore that file in no time.
Guys,
Thanks for your help so far. I appreciate it. So WinMo does use the archaic registry system when it comes to keeping track of installed/uninstalled programs. That sucks. I've tried (and did not like = uninstalled), changescreen and fingerkeyboard, for some odd reason, I very much prefer the normal full-qwerty.
Right now, I've read a lot, but I'm still confused on a couple of things. When you guys say USPL, do you still need to change your phone's SPL ? For example, If I intend to install a 1.56 based ROM, do I use a 1.56 USPL, or do I use USPL to install the ROM, whilst making sure that my phone already has 1.56 SPL?
In order to get 1.56 SPL, I need to install one of the official ROM upgrades right? Was it ship.exe or something?
Cheers.

Hi guys,
Im back with another question. I am bumping my old thread to prevent creating another unnecessary thread. I have recently tried messing around with the whole FingerPressure and PressureThreshold settings through Registry edits, and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed if it's even worth changing these values?
After a screen alignment, my values are like 35 (Finger) and 100 (PressureThreshold) respectively. I've now changed them to 100 and 300 respectively. After a soft reset, I still do not feel any significant changes with the responsiveness of the screen (not that it isn't responsive, just not MORE responsive). The same went with the "high" setting via HD Tweak.
So is there a point to even changing them? I've also read that changing these values to exorbitant values can actually damage the digitizer. Any truth to this? (Like 100000, etc).
Cheers.
Hi Wolf,
I did change the sensitivity in hdTweak and also Adv.Config 3.3 and I noticed a difference when moving from the "Advised" option to the highest option.
However, there is a number of cabs you can try too - try searching in Themes and Apps forum, and also in the Dev & Hacking.
So many ppl saying that HD is slow when compared IPhone. No. HD is faster than IPhone even it has double resolution.
First, watch my video. (I have recorded it with a bad webcam, so its not so smooth sometimes and blurry, sorry for that).
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbn1vm_my-touch-hd-running-lots-of-apps-sa_tech
You can see I am running these apps at the same time;
- MSN Live Messenger (connected)
- Facebook App (connected)
- Opera Mini (via JBed)
- MySpace (Connected)
- SongLoader (Downloading 1 song)
- MediaPlayer (Playing 192Kbps MP3 File, It has some glitches since I cant adjust buffer)
- PocketPlayer (Playing 128Kbps through Wi-Fi, full buffered, so no glitches in sound, smooth)
- CorePlayer (Playing 320x240 25FPS MP4 file with 44100hz 2channel sound WITHOUT SLOWDOWN)
* There is active background services like G-Trigger, GPSModDriver.
* Manila is still smooth while running all those applications at the same time.
Conclusion: HD is maybe twice or more faster than IPhone when you configure your windows well. I dont know why ppl choosing winmo 6.5.. I tried it with every custom ROM, manila was freezing while listening to simple MP3..
If you like it, here is my configration:
- HTC Touch HD without any overclock installed Topix 3.1.2 (WinMo 6.1).
- Installed Neos drivers V3 first, then Xperia X2 Drivers on it. And Graphics Booster 1.2.
- I am using custom priority management (Using SpeedBooster). Most important thing is this. Since speedbooster is not free, you can use sktools (I didnt try it, but heard that it can do priority management).
- Manila.exe and gwes.exe %80 priority. Other apps %60 (Players, browsers, etc.). You can set jbed.exe (Java emulator) %80 too for smoother experience, since it's pausing any running threads when you minimized it. And you must adjust players buffer sizes as much as possible (when you use manila or other %80 prioritied application, your ppc can't process mp3 as fast as playing, in this case it plays from buffer. If you keep doing things in manila, sound will stop when buffered part is played.). So you must adjust these things for yourself, depending on your needings.
Thanks to kwbr for this nice and smooth rom.
This is not for noobs, if you dont know what are you doing, then please dont. You may get your ppc unstable/freeze.

I wanted to ask you one more question, how long does your battery last ?
because i have to charge my phone every night even if i didn't use it a lot!

Of course, I would attach files when I back (I am in another country right now, so I can't access my PC). But I am sure that you can find them by searching forum
"neos2007 driverpack 3"
"gfx booster 1.2"
"teksoft speedbooster 2.0.010" (not free)
and, already given xperia x2 drivers.
About battery, since I use topix wm 6.1, it lasts longer (like about 2, 2.5 days). And those programs or drivers didn't affected the battery life so much, it's almost the same.

I havent experienced that before since I used always that combination with every rom. You maybe using stock rom? No I explained all steps. I will edit post as "not for noobs", sorry for late edit.
Though drivers and/or radio is not important part. I get almost same results with original drivers and radio. Important part is, well adjusted priorities.

Yes, fastest rom ever is Topix 3.1.2. And my radio version is .17 .
Yes, I have Hard SPL 1.56 installed with the 1.56 stock ROM decert and 1.17.25.09 radio. Now I have flashed with a custom 6.50 ROM.
Anyway, I don't know how you call "not for noobs" a procedure that consist on install some cabs. I have do many tricks with my phones since my first Qtek 8080 on 2004, including flashing, registry tricks, etc... and I never have freezed a machine before.
I think that if someone follow your steps and freezes the machine, you have forgot some previous requeriment previously included in the customization of your ROM. You must recommend this procedure only for people with your same ROM or identify what is the previous steep necessary and include the steps to do it manually.
At last, sorry for my english. ;-)

Topix 3.1.2 is a custom ROM.
my little friend, have you tried putting it in boot loader mode, try this, pull the battery out, put back in again, hold both vol up and vol down in at same time then whilst you hold them down hit the power button on the top
you should see a multicoloured screen
now, on your PC go to whoever released your phone and download an "official" ROM for it.
plug your HD in to your PC
your PC might try and install something at this point, let it do it!
now run the official ROM you downloaded and it should install.
next id suggest you install Hard SPL which you will find in the WIKI then try the whole thing again .
your paper weight should no longer be a paper weight

At last, sorry for my english. ;-)

whoops, missed that post, sorry, well do what i said anyway, it should still un brick your phone
ok now I'm scared!
what is the way of doing it ?
what do i have to do first, could someone give a step by step guide?
Does anyone have the correct links?
and could someone give us a step by step guide?
thaanxz
ok first things first, you need a new ROM incase the one you downloaded is corrupted.
then turn off the device
pull your battery out and put it back in again. holding down the power button will have the same effect but the battery out will make sure its off
step 2
hold down the volume up AND the volume down button on the side
whilst holding down the two volume buttons push the power button once
this mode is called bootloader mood, it will allow you to install a new ROM without the need to boot the HD up in to windows
Step 3
plug in the HD to your computer
allow it to install anything that might pop up on your PC screen.
your PC will look as normal, your HD will be multicoloured with writing on it
now try and install the new ROM as you normally would
its dead easy, and unless your HD is buggered it should get it working again, if it doesnt you wont be any worse off than before!

hello guys
Cool that you made such a video, so everybody can see that our Blackstone isn't a slow device.
In my Oppinion Blackstone "could" be faster than a non-customized-LEO.
The problem is HTC and Microsoft don't provide a good Hardware-Driver support, so the blackstone can't run on his maximum Level.
We can see this in such small things like the TF3D 2.5 Landscape Album View.
3D-Games are no Problem for our device if they are well configured by the programer, but we can't slide smooth through a list of 10 MP3-Albums with an small 3D-Effect
That's all because of bad configuration and a bad hardware support.
Why is there a so big community supporting Android drivers, when we should have a good WM-System at first?
greets
cuz we dont have WM drivers, what we have are a bunch of files collected and made to work with one another to give some form of speed improvment but unless someone releases the full driver and code or re writes the OS to use GL we are buggered. moan to Qualcomm and HTC

%80 is, just one step previous than %100. Where %100 is last step.
I think drivers are almost okay. Problem is coding style in some applications. Some apps has very smooth interface with eye-candy graphics, while some apps are slow with a simple UI. But of course, its hard to adapt those applications to many device variants. Iphone has no such variants like those devices. And windows must have better dynamic priority management, like the app you see on screen must have higher priority than foreground apps. In this way we set static priority to an application and it may be kinda unstable. But at least we can see what our device can do.
Hey guys, this post is just my way in saying thanks for all the help all of you guys have given me and for making it possible to have android on my HD2
Basically I have been doing some testing and have come up with a combination of things you can do to give yourself a fully working android build Ofcorse some of the information I had to test with was provided by other members but this combination I think is flawless, well at least it is for me ^^.
To begin you’re going to want to get the right WM rom for your android, and after testing I found the best one to be
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734238
I have not had any problems with it. Just flash it to your device and let’s go from there.
Next your going to want to do something allot of members do not think of doing, and that is formatting the SD card PROPERLY, as this eliminates allot of problems for various reasons. The correct way to do this is, boot yourself into Linux, Ubuntu is the easiest in my eyes, and you can get it on a live CD or USB so it’s easy to get into, just boot into Ubuntu plug in your SDcard and its better if you can insert it via an SDcard slot in an adapter. Then format it as FAT not FAT32, I wont explain why this is better, but it will. Check this out if you really want to know why you need to do it ^^ but you don’t really need to know
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=750780
Next thing is your android build. Now there are ALOT of builds that work well but there is only one that I believe can give you a real working android experience, and the next part of this guide is based on this build so I suggest you use it .
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=740963
Ok, so you have got your build on your card you have booted into it and it’s ready to go, right? Not yet. One of the most annoying things that occur in android under the HD2 is the random freezing and this is how I removed this pesky little annoyance.
1. Unlock your screen and hit the settings key (windows key)
2. Hit settings
3. Hit Cyanogenmod Settings
4. Hit User Interface
5. Scroll down to Accelerometer rotation
6. Make sure ONLY 90 degrees is ticked!
7. Done
Now that setting is how I have managed to eliminate the problem, but don’t worry if you still have this issue, just go back into the Cyanogenmod settings and turn off 90 degrees and then under display turn off Auto-rotate screen, this should eliminate the problems but then your screen wont rotate automatically so its swings and roundabouts really ^^
Top Tips!
DONT use live wallpapers, they WILL kill your battery and drastically decrease the performance of your HD2!
Turn off the GPS as it is on by Default, it drains battery ALOT and isn't necessary most of the time ^^
Get the XDA app because its mega? And you suck if you don’t!
Calibrate the Gsensor, it will reduce the screen freezes (that’s if you even have them, witch you shouldn’t after this guide: P)
Finally, always remember that you should turn off your phone to charge it OR have it booted into WinMo, allot of reasons why you should do this but again just do it
Hope this helped someone somewhere Its my first real post that gave something back to the community and I AM a noob hehe, so any addition to this guide is welcome ^^ Again thanks allot all you guys at XDA that made this possible and I will keep this updated as necessary
Thanks allot. Dane.

I hope it works for you but remember if you didn't follow all the other steps I cant guarantee and fix and even if it doesn't work, you can disable all screen rotation as I mentioned and this SHOULD fix your problem ^^ I really do hope it works for ya.

Well if your looking at this guide, you probably already have HardSPL :l and even if you didn't when you take a look at the ROM pages it explains it there, so I don't think its very productive or helpful to post random crap like that :l And as for the radio, i tested several radios and it didn't make any difference TO ME but if you really want to know the radio i am running its, 2.12.50. Happy now ?

I think it's incredibly important to post that here.
Imagine someone sees an HD2 with android or hears about it from a friend, does a quick google search and finds this thread.
They come in here looking for a quick fix for android....
They could end up bricking their device or something....

/sigh, what are you trying to do here ? cause problems.if you had never even heard about android on HD2 you take one look at the writing in this post and think WHAT, it says things like Flash it to your device and lets go. you wouldnt know how to flash or even what it meant, so you couldn't even brick your device as you would not know how :l Please stop filling up this thread that i made to HELP people not argue with some guy who keeps coming up with random crap that is not going to happen, and i am not being unreasonable by saying that and i am sure many other members will agree im not in the wrong.

Unfortunately still having the screen freezes, even after toying with CyanogenMod settings.
Back to the waiting game then.

Did you turn off all the screen rotation under cm settings and normal settings and did you calibrate the Gsensor these things can also resolve the problem, you can also disable the Gsensor in WinMO and this will cure your problem but thats not reccomended ^^ Give those suggestions a try, again hope it works for you.
Dane.
Are we allowed to start a poll asking people which mainstream rom they're using just so we know what is the most common and popular rom is,? Or is it a taboo?

I turned all the screen rotation off. Since I'm using ChuckyDroidROM, the gsensor calibration is removed.
In android, it worked for a while but tilting it continually in Gallery3D caused a freeze.
I wish I could disable the theming on shubCRAFT, it's the only thing that puts me off using it.
I think that if you look at this thread you will see

that this method is a lot of trouble for no additional benefit over a simple format using WinMo in the phone. If you would "explain why" it would be interesting because no one else can. A full WinMo format, not quick, overwrites the complete data space on an SD card with new redundant data. It also only reserves and writes one FAT where Windows on the PC reserves and writes two. You can't get something from nothing and WinMo non-quick format leaves nothing in the data space. (And yes I do understand full mil spec data destruction and redundent and random erase so everything is destroyed.)

Well i may be wrong but as far as i was aware, when you put a linux android build on your SDcard it creates a partition or something like that on the card, (i will look it up and get back to you) and windows cannot see it, wheras linux can see it and therefore it can wipe it, and these left over bits that windows cant see dont always get on when you get a new build Thanks for pointing it out though, just wanna help as many as possible ^^
Thanks

To be honest i think that if you got yourself a Shubcraft build and then followed the guide then you would end up with a pretty stable build, with no freezing, but if you dont like the theme, then i guess that there is nothing i can do, but hope that a sense version of it is relesed so that you can get yourself a nice stable build ;D
Thanks again.

@friedsushi definitely agree with you it isn't clarified correctly about different radios affecting the android or that hspl is necessary for it to work. I am constantly getting people pming me to ask for a walkthrough, which on most occasions I have been able to get this working even though my wordage is more simplified in layman's terms-his looks like its been copy/pasted from all over these pages which in effect isn't a bad thing but to call it a guide and not including vital information is a bit haphazard IMO.
& to the op I am not flaming you but there are already guides out there & don't particularly need another unfinished version to add to the numerous threads which have only just been cleaned up by the mods, plus with only 11 posts 8 of which are on here I honestly don't see much experience to be able to give people guides

I dont get it ? not one word of this was copied and pasted from someone else, and this is just the process i went through to get it to work perfectly, i didnt include the parts about the HardSPL and the radio because, i tryed a few different radios and it made no difference to me AND you wouldn't be able to flash or follow these instructions if you didnt know what hard SPL was. Again i am not flaming but i was just providing a set of instructions that i did, to get it working. So its not a unfinished guide, just because it didnt include some realy basic information. Sorry if i did not make this 100% noob friendly, was just trying to get a few more phones running stable ^^
Dane.
No one discussed any where about the below scenarios.
If booting to android, Phone reboots.
If already in booted and trying to make a call or check email again booted.Always getting booten in android randomly after trying various builds.
Anyone has answer for thatt?
Thanks
