It is advised to flash an Official ROM prior to flashing another Custom ROM.
So my question is do we need to hard-reset after flashing a Official ROM over an existing Custom ROM?
Or we can flash the Official ROM and immediately flash a new Custom ROM over it?
i didnt hard reset when i did min f the first time...and im still using it and it works like a charm. but its probably a good idea to hard reset.
Hard-Resetting everytime for a 1.61 ROM is a pain, take two boots the first time and again two boots after the hard-reset. Then again hard-reset after flashing the Custom ROM.
so yes my phone is rooted and all. i've always been flashing roms over and over. but ever since i flashed the AOSP 2.2 OTA my recovery image goes back to stock after reboot. so i have to use ROM manager to keep reflashing a recovery for me. This is the first rom i have that is doing this. Is there a way to fix it or just make it permanent?
fixed it. i just flashed another rom.
Hi,
i want to sell the note and flashed stock firmware with odin .... before i had bob4 custom rom
i flashed the stock firmware in download mode but my data was still there... all my settings.... and wallpaper and stuff.... but the recovery was stock...
did it work then ?
i thought the data is also deleted when making a factory reset.
Is it stock now ... or ??
thanks

Flashing stock ROM by ODIN does not delete your personal data. Factory reset does.
I have an galaxy s5 (SM-G900F), it has a custom rom (resurrection remix). I would like to go back to my stock rom, but I have tried everything possible in odin and twrp and everything. But nothing works. Everytime I flash the stock rom, I am just stuck in the samsung boot logo. The only way to fix that problem is to reinstall my custom rom again.
Can someone teach me a way of going back to stock rom. I dont mind if my data gets erased or anything.
I really need help
Thanks
