The Krusell HTC Touch Pro Orbit Flex case is no exception to this rule, it’s a little rough around the edges and plays host to some decidedly inconsistent stitching and some other almost unnoticeable but poor aspects of its overall finish. It does, however, boast some features I’ve encountered on other Krusell cases. For example, the top flap that normally covers and protects the screen of the phone can easily and quickly be entirely removed from the case by means of a slide-in plastic clip. This allows you to remove and pocket said flap when you’re planning on using the phone for a significant period of time and don’t want it getting in the way.On the down side (or up side, depending on your belt-clip preferences), and again like previous Krusell cases, the Orbit Flex comes with a “multidapt” hardpoint on the back of the case, which can’t be removed to make the case as perfectly pocketable as I think it should be. Belt clips are a matter of preference, however, so I can’t outright chalk this up as a minus for the Krusell Orbit Flex, if you’re into creating Batman-like utility belts then it should be right up your alley.A definite plus is the transparent plastic window in the case under which you’re supposed to tuck the HTC Touch Pro keyboard. It’s a little bit tricky to get it seated properly but once you do it will adequately protect your keys from dust and grime in addition to very securely holding your phone inside the case. The mix of black and cream leather with complimenting stitching makes the Orbit Flex look quite good if you don’t examine it too closely, the black exterior and cream interior is an eminently professional look which I’m quite fond of. It trumps any single tone case immediately and adds a bit of interest to what would otherwise be an overwhelmingly black phone in an overwhelmingly black case.Overall, the Krusell Orbit Flex is a cracking case for your HTC Touch Pro, for the money. If you want to loose a few features, despise belt clips or simply want to go full on “designer” with a much better finish then you’ll be wanting to give it a miss, but if you want a striking leather case for little over £20 then it’s certainly an option worth considering.

Dr.Windows Mobile Master
I used a Krusell leather case with my Sony CLIÉ for several years and it is still on the device, even though I don't use it any more. It is still so nice I don't have the heart to through it away...David.
Thanks for the information. I have owned two Krusell cases for other devices and loved them. The Multidapt belt clip is by far the best I have used.
I assume this will fit the Fuze? Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks!
@MagicSpeller,
yes, confirmed it's and will fit the Fuze.
one thing I don't like, though: it's very cumbersome to put in (and out, subsequently) the plastic wrap portion which protect the keyboard and provide grip to the phone.
I'm sorry, i never got these cases for phones that have a slide out keyboard. for a phone without a slide-out keyboard, that makes sense but not one with a keyboard. You slide out the keyboard and the case is hanging off the side. Really not useful in my opinion.
Can any1 post some of their own pictures of this case.Thx

Now, what is your ideal opinion of a leather case that [when] 'you slide out the keyboard, the case [won't] hanging off the side'? such thing doesn't even exist, yet.
Unless you're referring to a two piece rubberized soft case, which I think looks cheesy, and, dorky.
I have had a few krusell cases for palms and HTC devices. Their warranty is really good. The quality though is another matter. I should point out at this point I am an extremely careful user of my mobile so not ham fisted. But for my tytn I had two cases replaced on warranty because the multidapt adapter plate which is stitched into the back of the case kept splitting. The third case has just failed with the plastic welds giving up on this same fixing plate so it fell off the back of the case. This is after 3 weeks of use. I am always careful to remove the phone from my belt before sitting or getting in a car etc, so there is no excuse for these to fail like this. The last case broke just as I got back to my car and was unlocking the car. I have attached a photo of this latest failure, the belt clip on this is the non swivel type. The non swivel clip is frankly rubbish. After opening the clip a couple of times the hinge pin works its way out. On the swivle clips the flaw is the spring metal weakens. The cases are great though definitely one of the better ones out there with a manufacturer that honours its lifetime warranty, but the multidapt and associated plastics are a really badly flawed design. I am now off to claim yet another replacement under warranty, if you dont want a belt clip then I dont think you can do better for a leather case that you put in your pocket.
A cousin of mine needs it. Where to find it.
Thanks
play.com are doing it for 4.99 free delivery!
Hi guys,
Not advertising it - although I should because I bought one from play.com few days ago for 4.99 GBP!!
I couldn't believe the offer, too good to be true I thought.
But the only thing I don't like about it is the plastic that goes over your keyboard and under the screen - so holds the phone very safe indeed.
But I feel paranoid that the front is going to snap off - the see-through plastic seems to be forcing the top cover out a bit...Or it's me being paranoid?
Anyone else feel this way who owns one of these?
Good luck all!
Anyone know if this case will fit with the seidio 2000mah battery installed?
krussell cases are garbage, not only did it break my phone because of the plastic straps that under the sliding part, but the case never fit right and awlays hit my scroll key, thus my battery was always crap, also the clip broke...I would stay away from made in china piece of crap krussell

Can any of the early K-JAM owners confirm what kind of case is shipped in the box? Is it like the belt-clip horizontal case coming with the Jam, or is it different?
Thanks.
I just played with it at a phonestore.
It comes wit a belt like clip holder. Looked allright to me, nearly same as magician bigger
Yeah, way bigger. The K-Jam case is square (not with rounded edges), and way too much extra space at the top.
I'm looking to find that case that sweet Treo 650 case BTT snagged. Went to BestBuy and CompUSA today, nothing like it. Hey, BTT where'd you get that case (I know, a mall, but what store)?
The case isn't very pretty, but it's functional, and has a nice firm front/back to stop anything from smashing your screen. It also makes the device WAY too bulky.
My 2 cents...
Good Points:
1. Full width sewn in magnetic strip on flap makes it very easy to close (i.e not just a small magnetic catch)
2. Access to plug in headphones
3. Spring steel belt clip rather than belt loop, so it can be quickly removed from belt without unbuckling
4. Soft felt inside gives good screen protection
Bad Points:
1. Corners of device exposed, so would be damaged if case is dropped.
2. Case a good bit bigger than it needs to be.
3. Nylon material of case "puckers" a good deal in damp air. Very odd..!
4. Case is a bit too ridged, making it hard to extract the device.
Regards
Chris

That case looks pretty terrible :\
If that picture is for the shipped case,it looks very pretty nice to me .
Wow, it is huge!!! Definitely too bulky (too thick), it will make you look like pregnant if you wear a pullover....!
A definite step back from the very useable case provided with the Jam.
We definitely need someone to come up with a very skinny case for the belt... Any company working on this?

I'm in New Jersey.
The mall I bought it from is called Menlo Park Mall in Edison, NJ.
The kiosk is in the middle of the mall and the manufacturer is called Bytech.

Piel Frama's case for the Wiz should be out next week according to the email I got from them last night. Look at their site towards 27-OCT or so and see if it is listed...
Excellent! I was really hoping Piel Frama would come out with a case. I love my hx4700 Piel Frama case!
To make the device easier to extract from the case it shipped with I found it convenient to utillize the end of the lanyard that shipped with my Motorola HS-810 headset. It detatches from the lanyard, leaving a piece of looped line with a plastic piece. looping it through the provided point on the lower left corner of the device. Doing this results in a handy place to grab hold of the device and extract it from the case.

I think you view of the shipped case will depend on your origins ;-) The case probably is bigger and bulkier than it needs to be, but if like me you have been used to lugging round an xda 1, an xda 2 and then the xda 2s, you will probably be pleased how compact this is And of course its free!
I personally hope that EB Cases will produce a smalller version of the horizontal soft leather case with belt loop or clip, that they make for the xda. I used it for 3 years all three of my xda's and its still going strong. Not bad for $30.00 !
like today screen, let's post our magician case.
this is mine

Default/Standard/Bundled/Free/Generic case.
I have Covertec black leather case...
very nice case.. I've had it since August, and it is still in a great condition...
Build quality is very good.. and it's way much better the the standard case for the JAM.
it also has 2 mini pockets for your extra memory cards... I usualy keep my music stored in a seperate SD... and thus, this case becomes quiet handy
i have the one it came with which i barely use, and also i bought the silicone one which i dont use much either because it sticks to clothe so its tough to put in/out of my pocket.
Here's mine! Krusell is very comfortable. Using it couple of months. Still good!
stratoboom: that's cute, where'd you get it?
I have a silicon case which is ok, but in the end I just found some adhesive foil which I covered the back of my magician (and ipod) with. It looks similar to the original and protects it when i throw it on the desk. It's useless for shocks/drops, but then I never touch my phone without slipping my finger through the loop.
V
I love mine with a silicon skin. The one I purchased from ebay is the thin silicon skin that comes in 5 colours ...didn't like the one with the protective screen cover, too thick the skin.
The skin makes my phone-PDA stands out..whenever I take it out to answer phone or use the PDa function, everyone nearby just stares at it :-D
O2mini_noob: I got a silicon one in pastel blue and white. Haven't used it for a while, I'll have to pull it out again!
V
the pastel light blue I am using at the moment..it makes my o2 mini look like light bluish grey which is very striking.
The flourescent green and pink look outstanding too although pink is more suited for gals.
i found it on ebay.
it's great.... first days plastic is very heavy and sometimes there is not contact between stilus and screen
after couple of days, leather and screen cover get magicians shape and now i use only my fingers ; )
the best case i ever buyed.....
Boxwave Flexiskin is amazing..I just put it on today...looks like by far the thinnest skin you can find for the Magician. Whereby most silicon skins today add weight and thickness to the Magician plus not contoured to fit charging cradles..the Flexiskin from Boxwave makes you feel like you're using a naked mini.
The button skin is incredible...you can actually feel the symbols on those buttons. It is the must have skin !!
My pocket is 2 small 2 plus a case on XDAmini......
I use a Piel-Frama Case (did so with my old iPAQ too) and I love them. They may be a bit expensive but are worth every penny. I got a black leather one though.
Hi,
I have the same as your with a slight modification.
I have cut out the plastic front to give acess to the screen.
and added a hard leather cover for the screen
Regards
And this is the reason (the case) why i dont want to replace my JAM to KJAM...

i had this case and absolutely hated it. first up, i hated having to always open the cover to access the screen (it was a process). secondly, it made my Jam a lot bulkier looking, and a lot of my friends would comment that i look like a "moron" with the case on my phone. i ditched and i got a silicone case with an attached belt clip. i garner a lot more respect now. 8)

Hey Private-Cowboy, I have a Piel Frama for my Mini too!
But it's the two-toned black/tan one.
Anyone here using a Vaja?
here is mine. a tad too bulky, but i like it. Makes the phone quite bit thicker.

Shop or ebay? got any pictures? I've been thinking about getting a silicon cover as I currently only use the cover which came with my mini.
cheers, marto
I've tried a few cases and by far the best is the CAPDASE. It's an Aluminium case with a double hinge. Only fault is the window is smaller than the Pdair and is offset to the left.
My main criteria for a case is that it must protect the PDA, be easy to use and not bulk up the unit as did the pdair case.
I also had to make a minor modification in order to get access to the stylus. Otherwise a great case.
I was looking around for a slim fit case for my tilt since I do not want to make any scratches on it's beautiful body, I found out that most online stores sell the rubberized case for $30+, I digged on eBay and I just won and received my case same as this auction
It cost me only $9.20 total, which is way cheaper than most other website charges.
The case fits perfect on my Tilt, it's rubberized so it's got a great feeling when u touch it. I've included some photos below of the case I got. I think it's a great bargan and just want to share this info w u guys.
Look at the quality of this product, it's made in China alrite, but it's of good quality(for $9...).

Clipper is not installed, I just put it on for reference of how it will look like with a clipper. I personally do not use clipper.
Cheers
Thanks. Looks perfect and not too bulky. Also the recess will make finding the d**mn on/off button easier
I've owned a couple of these (rubberized & non-rubberized) and the lack of bevel on the front makes it hard to use the soft keys and scroll bar.
AFAIK, the only rubberized case that does have a bevelled front is from Seidio.

I agree with you, there is actually quite some recess on the side buttons and the front. Made it really easy to press the buttons, especially the d*** on/off button.
The front is actually beveled Alex, and have a bit of space around the keys so pressing the front button is no pain at all (I have a small hand and that's prob why)
It's $9, what you got to lose
shame he won't ship to europe (uk) :/

Why pay $9 when I've paid $3.24 for it on Amazon?
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t..._shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=A1TB4CRIUIFO5O&v=glance
BTW, I still prefer the Seidio one over this one...
thanks for the tip alex, I just ordered this two days ago for $6 shipped from amazon, just got here today...damn fast shipping! Anyways, it's what I would expect for only $6, it doesn't fit perfect, I still can't get one edge to snap on.
this is okay though, because just last night I dropped my phone getting out of the car, and my screen stopped working for about a half hour. Scary half hour for sure, I thought for sure I would be swapping out a screen. So this should help, if not just for peace of mind.
Recommended
I ordered this from Amazon too, because I really wanted to try out the clip. Put it on for 5 minutes to try it out, and after discovering the same thing as you (it doesn't fit properly on the top), I quickly decided to go back to the Seidio model.
It took me 10 minutes to remove the case from the bottom of my phone
You get what you pay for. Lesson learned.
I purchased the Luxmo case too. The bottom right tab of the top case did not fit too. The solution is to use sandpaper. Do not sand the tab but the frame under the tab from the inside.
I will try the sandpaper method. Other issues I'm having with the case is charging and syncing cables. The factory Tilt charging cable doesn't push all the way in with this case, however it is enough to charge, and I am just barely able to use my 3.5mm audio adapter for in car use. I'm going to make some modifications, hell it's only $6 anyways.
Just bought this. Put it on. I liked it. Wanted to try out the belt clip so I tried to take it off. The front clip broke off. Piece of crap IMHO. Going with the $32 Seidio super slim rubberized case. Would rather have something that lasts longer and can be removed. Hell I'd rather buy just 1 Seidio case then buy 3 cheap ones.
Kraize
I just bought this on amazon, ill risk it, and if the one corner doesnt fit - ill see what i can to do sand the inside corner. -i doubt ill be taking it off after i put it on so, im not worried bout it breaking with the removal procedure
I didn't really think I'd be removing it either. But I just wanted to see how it looked with the clip. Just ordered a Seidio one. I know that the seidio one is good :]
Fits perfect! No gap or uneven, ALL corners fit! (the one off amazon for 3$ something) Yes!!
i bought 2 cases of transparent plastic and was a big ****
I purchased the one from amazon. I am not a fan of the clip, I prefer a pouch. The thing only cost $6 with shipping. I really like it. Worth it. I wish the edges where it was coated could have been a bit nicer but hey....it was only 6 bucks to my door.

exactly which one ?
Its from accesory one. This is the link. http://www.amazon.com/SOLID-RUBBERI..._1_9?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1216076111&sr=8-9
I bought the one off eBay from the first post.
Pros:
Fits GREAT on my Tilt, and is easy to put on. It does exactly what I need it to do, which is keep the stock shell nice and stop it from sliding around in my pocket so much if I'm wearing cargo shorts. Nice feel/grip when talking or surfing.
Cons:
This shell won't give your device a better chance of suriving a fall. I don't think these devices "bounce test" well
thanks for the amazon references..id never have thought to look on amazon for cases..ever since ive had my 8525 ive gotten cases off ebay..clear ones..smoke clear ones...and since ive had my att tilt ive gotten a smoke clear one which fit perfectly but one of the tabs broke and ive always had this happen and just makeshifted superglue to make a tab but with this recent purchase on ebay of the rubberized case..the bottom right corner of the top piece didnt fit and no matter how hard i tried i couldnt get it to stay because the case was just a tad to small in width on the bottom so only one tab would be in place at a time so when i feel neccessary ill try the ones on amazon..ive always used cases not to keep it from breaking on impact but to keep scratches away because ive dropped my phone many many times and it has slid across parkinglots and if it werent for these cheapo cases id wouldnt be able to resell them at a good price when i want to by the next model release ;-)
I purchased this case from daydeal.com
http://www.daydeal.com/product.php?productid=28226&cat=3920
And it puts pressure on both the outer edge of the touch screen and the touch pad at the base of the machine. The fit is great, but this button/screen pressure renders the screen and buttons useless.
If anyone has any advice other than throwing this in the garbage, please let me know. I've considered a dremmel tool session, but I'm not sure it's worth it on such an inexpensive part.
Buyer beware!

sand it down using a nail filer.
I agree. It seems that several cases like this have the same problem. I used a small knife, but you can use just about anything to scrape down the inner mold remnants and then it works fine.
Well, sure... thanks. Like I said, I might break out the dremmel tool and do a nice finishing job on this.
The main point is that we shouldn't HAVE to alter products to make them have their basic function. To me, this is like buying car tires that are square, and all you have to do is shave off the corners until they're round so they can roll. $13, or however much it is going for these days, is really quite expensive for two pieces of plastic. It's even more expensive when they don't work out of the box.
So, buyer beware.
Would it have been so tough to include the case name into the thread title? Generically mystery threads ain't cool...
I got a similar case... but all I did was spend 2 hours of filing lol... sucked but works great so far.. hopefully the coating doesn't peel off anytime soon.. not bad for a 9 dollar case on ebay
mine it's transparent any suggestions?

Thanks!!! I got my case the same night I loaded a new ROM. My case only caused intermittant problems, so I thought it was the ROM. I was getting ready to flash to the previous ROM when I read this thread. I removed the case and have not had the problem since. My case was clear also. My solution was to throw the case away and order a different style case.
Is this just as bad..
I was looking at possibly getting this case for my Fuze, then I seen this thread. This case looks pretty much the same, but not sure as how
it will fit, and I rather not purchase something that will cause problems.
It's from a different website, but could potentially have the same issue.
Anyone think it's worth it? Or just forget that style of case altogether?
Also wondering, if these types of cases hender in when your trying to acess the 'softkeys' on the screen [the lil calender & contacts spot]. I like being able to slide my thumb from there to the buttons, but i was wonder if the lil spot between could become a problem. Thanks.
http://www.wirelessground.com/fuzeobcsmoke.html
i love the black rubberized case. i got it off of ebay and just sanded down the inside with some rough sandpaper. i painted the inside black because the edges show and now it looks great.
I bought something similar, but it was the black silicon case, so it is flexible. It's a bit annoying at times, as it is flimsy, but it does what I need it to do. I picked this thing up for around $6 shipped on ebay.
If you read my thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459761 you will see what I did. All I did was sand down the inside upper left of the case and it has worked perfectly ever since. I posted pictures in the thread also. Hope that helps.
The case is really great, after you take the pressure off the inside upper left corner.
For what it's worth...I have this case in pink and I haven't had a single problem. I put it on the second day I had my device and it's been on ever since (only removed a couple of times to get to sd and sim).
I didn't need to file anything down. Maybe the difference is in the manufacturing of the color lot.
For those who don't mind spending a little more to protect their investment...(To me it's a BIG investment) http://www.noreveusa.com/product/HTC_P4600_-_HTC_Touch_Pro_Tradition_leather_case.html All buttons and interfaces accessible. Great protection!!
Seidio Innocase
Got my from Seidio and no mods was needed. Touch worked perfectly right out of the box. Link take you to the case and the clip combo, but if you choose not to use the clip, the case can be purchased by itself.

Couldnt agree more,I bought a new fuze from att and when it got here the spring or the slide one was way loose,it clicked when you are talking on it, called to get a replacement exchange the day after, I was told I would have to BUY another phone and when they recieved mine they would credit me.I am still p.o.ed,I told they lady that I already paid for a new phone and apparently didnt get one and this wasnt right.
at&t version of the case
I haven't noticed any problems with the "same style" case offered by at&t, but, I popped the top cover off of mine. I have a "invisible shield" screen protector on my Fuze, and noticed a slight indentation on the top left corner, and I also noticed a slight indentation above the left & right areas above the "HTC" logo at the bottom of the screen. Like I said, I haven't noticed the problems pointed out here, but I thought that if I'm seeing an indentation on the invisible shield,
then there has to be some pressure being applied to the screen. I went ahead and shaved the areas noted with the red in the photo below. Hope this helps.
I got a similar case off ebay too:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220306410400&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
works great. no need for filing whatsoever.
What are you using or planing use to protect your phone and screen?
Zagg is supposedly good all around, the draw back, it's extremely hard to remove once you put it on, and if you fail the first time.... OMG...
Gel Case + Screen protector is the next best thing, both can be easily removed and swaped with another colour or another screen protector if it gets too scratched, unlike Zagg once you put it on, you are stuck with it forever.

Thanks
for the phone shell protection i'll prefer these "Mesh" ones (easily found on ebay), but not sure if they are Hard plastic case, or soft gel type

my 2nd choice would be these ones by "Zenus"
for actual Case for my belt this one is the best of them all (also easily found on ebay)
the gel skin + phone will fit perfectly into it

They are plastic not soft.
personally i've always liked the zagg (rather a bodyguardz since u get 2 skins for the price of 1 in case of a fubar) plus a hard plastic case.
EDIT: unfortunately only zagg has the SGS skin for now....so i bought that

thanks for the info.... darn they looks so nice on the phone.
but past experiences has taught me that hard cases does not protect the phone from accidental drops.
soft cases or gel like cases does a better job at that.

I'd go with Zagg if they were less cumbersome to install.
the last time i tried it, it was a big mess.
having to do the spray the glue, then letting it dry, etc, etc.
i don't like the idea of having to use any sort of glue like thing on the protection film to glue into the screen.
i'll probably order the Zagg just to provide some more protection for the plastic case samsung decided to use, to give it an extra layer of "armor" ... still if the drop is bad enough even the inside hinges that keeps the phone together will break regardless of how strong is the the outer shell.
I've a bad rep for dropping my phones A LOT! luckily my old HTC Athena was made of METAL case, else it would have died looong looong ago, and even with it being a metal case, i managed to crack it at the corners
since HTC Athena phone/laptop (according to the Zagg website) was not that popular, there was no soft skin case available for it, and the Zagg was not available either until much later, by then it was already too late for my phone.
the Zagg + Gel skin will make a good protection & fashion for my new Galaxy S i9000
that's the neat thing about the Gel skin, you can change the colour anytime you want to "match" your style / clothing whatever event you feel like for the day.
However the issue with the screen protection, i'll most likely not use Zagg, and only use a PET film protection, i've had all my previous phone with those PET protection and they work really well, it can be easily replaced without any glue, you can wash it and put it back, exactly what i wanted.
the Zagg screen protection you will have to spray the glue on the film, put it on, and let it dry, and you can't use your phone meanwhile it's doing that, so it's rather too inconvenient.
Also once scratched, you'll have to replace it with another Zagg, and that means you'll have to do the same rutine again.
PET film a fraction of what you'll pay for the Zagg screen protection only.
I'm rather picky on screen marks, i like them polished clean, if they have any line or dots, i usually change it right away, with Zagg, that will prove too cumbersome to do, with a PET film, just peel and throw away, and put on the new one, it's just that simple.
keep in mind on the zagg, for screen protector, they still only have ones for the galaxy, which have large cutouts for that square Nav button (the vibrant/captivate doesn't have) and cutouts for the FFC which the vibrant/captivate doesn't have
only one i've seen specific to the vibrant / captivate is the clearfreak, which btw is made here in the USA (Virginia)
do a google on em, there were some interesting reviews comparing them to phantomskinz and others
