6915 Battery switch??? - Sable

I have a 6915 and the battery went dead. I tried to charge it to no avail (flashing red charge light). A friend told me that it could be the battery back so i checked and it was fine. He then said it could be the battery switch in the unit. So i disassembled it but there was no battery switch inside the unit. I know that 6915 have a switch but why has my unit not got a switch?? Is it soldered in or could i have dropped it out of the unit when i disassembled it?? Any help would be appreciated....

XDA 11 won't Charge

Hi can someone please help, My XDA 11 won't charge, or make any connection in it's dock, can someone tell me where I can get it repaired, Thanks a lot ,
Try taking it to any O2 shop, they have a special device for quick charging the battery without going through the XDA. It happened to mine a while ago i thought the battery was dead so went to get a replacement, but they put my battery in this charging unit and it came back to life :?
re not charging
Hi, thanks for your advice, but I don't think that the problem is with the battery, as i have a spare battery and have charged the battery in the aux/battery charger in the dock so both batterys are fully charged, the problem is with the connector to the mother board at the bottom of my pda, so it won't connect to my computure, Activesync, or charge, but i'll call in to the O2 shop and see what they have to say..... Thanks. :?

Battery Problem - Red Blinking

I am facing a problem which need your guidance, i am charging my battery after 20 days when i use AC charger with 24 PIN adapter, Right hand LED is continuously blinking in Red colour and LCD is also blinking, and seems no charging.
when i placed the PDA on Cradle only red LED is blinking (fast).
please let me know is my battery dead (i think someone replaced my battery ), or something else , what should i do. ?
Model : XDA2i
Thanks
It seems like the problem is with your battery. Can you charge it in a XDA/MDA USB cradle (also used to sync your PPC with a PC)?
i had this problem once after using the 2020i in the car, so i took it inside to my sisters and lugged it into the USB and i got exactly what you are describing. When the screen flashin started, i unplugged it totally... the battery was devoid of power.
When i returned home i removed the battery and charged it in the Aux batt slot in the cradle for a couple of hours. Then returned it to the pda and then replaced the pda back in the cradle. It then proceded to charge fine!
And more to the point has been fine since.
This happened back at Christmas!!
Hope it works for you!

Thanks for the hints. I normally charge my PDA in the cradle itself but will also charge the battery in the AUX slot when I'm at work and want to keep my phone in my pocket.
Is that a hint of sarcasm Triband?
I was not saying charge the battery in the Aux slot all the time!
Nope, certainly not....it's practical to have both options (at least on the MDA II's USB cradle).

MDA battery connector pin out

My MDA has been acting flaky so I decided to reflash the firmware, but unfortunately the battery died during the flash. I know what your thinking, I should have charged it first. I did, the MDA was reporting 100% full but obviously it wasn't.
Is there any way I can connect a power source directly to the MDA? Does anyone have a pin out/schematic of the battery connector? I checked the service manual with no luck.
I had the same problem... but if you can't charge the battery, strip an old USB cable and expose the Red (Positive) and Black (Neg.), then touch them to the far left and right contact pads on your battery... note which side is positive and which is negative (it should be labeled). USB won't fry the battery since it can't put out anything beyond 5.x volts. It worked for me.

HTC Himalaya power phone without battery.

...
this is a real problematic situation. i bought a i-mate branded himalaya a few months ago off ebay, i have no idea if it works. the charger port was completley desoldered from the mainboard.
so i spent 12bux to get an external batterycharge, which it appears my battery is now dead. refuses to get any voltage.
is there ANY way i can hax it to power on without hte battery. i can get the powerpins on temporarily, but i need to know if i can like short the battery pins together to use external power.
any ideas?
