Prophet is warming up, battery consuming very quickly, wifi doesn't turn on

Hi every body,
My Prophet is warming up itself, battery is being consumed very quickly, wifi doesn't turn on.
It seems wifi problem created by wm 6.1, allthough it worked fine 1 day after updating my prophet wm5 to wm 6.1.
I have tried with wm5 again, and it doesnt get warm untill I turn on the wifi manually, but with wm6.1 it gets warm from the boot, no need to turn on the wifi( if I turn off the wifi by registry tweek, it doesn't get warmed).
I have tried with most of the available roms(also radio roms) here, same problem, but definitely it's wifi was great before updating to wm6.1.
Can any one please help me in this situation?

wifi works well based on my experience the only problem is BT < when you try to receive a file from another device but heres the tweak for that.
using a simple registry edit tool..

btw the radio rom im using is the very recent one.. get it from here:

Did you ever get your problem fixed? am having the same problem but I belive its a hardware problem I have not found a solution as yet but can anyone tell me how to enable WiFi in the Regestry thanks

please help battery runing out fast

i have htc p3600 and the problem is that the battery is running so fast when im using the phone talking or internet but when im using it normal with out talking or using connection it's fine just when im using the phone on games and programs my radio is 1.38.00.11 should i have change the radio or it's a good one? or should i change the battery ?? and if i have to change the radio how i can do that cuz i tried to too many times but it's telling me that my mobile is not connected
please help me ...

are you sure that your problem depend of kind of usage?
for sure non stop turned on wifi, connections usualy very fast eat power from your battery.
maybe your battery have a few years and you need to get new one?
a while ago i just bought a battery because i use a gps all the time and non stop charging - like in a car, simply make shorter life of battery.
SO : maybe you sholud buy a new battery?

Maybe both. New radios like 1.56 perform well for me. I also bought a new battery. These helped me greatly.

[Q] internet Connection lost after few hours

Hello,
First this is my env :
- ROM Winmo : ROM Pyrana V-H-11.3
- ROM radio : ROM 2_12_50_02_2
- Carte SD : 4Go
- ROM Android : FroyoStone_Sense_V3.1
My problem :
When I boot the rom android (manually in winmo), after few hours (about 9, 10 hours), the internet connection fail down.
Phone calls woks fine but not internet acces
I can do this : parameters -> com manager -> uncheck mobile network -> re-check mobile network
after that The internet connection works during few minutes and fail down again.
Thanks to give me some tips or link to solve my problem.

I don't know if that may cause your problem, but did you check if your phone is in airplane mode before you boot android? It seems a little strange, because it works for 9 or 10 hours.. but check this anyway.
Another problem might be your radio, but I think that won't cause your signal loss after such a long time. But just to be sure, why don't you flash another radio?

No, there are two newer ones.
Here is 2.15 (i think the latest, dunno if it works good with android).
Radio 2.15
And this is an older one 2.14, but I've flashed this one and I have to say it's very good. The signal is perfect and the battery drain is about 7mA in standby.
Radio 2.14 (take the one on the top).
Edit: I've just found another tweak which maybe will work:

No problem. If this issue appears again try the tweak I posted above.

I come back after a week.
The new ROM 2.15 don't change anything. I regulary loose internet connection after few hours.
I must disconnect and reconnect internet connection in settings to reactivate it.

In winmo turn phone signal off then boot Android worked for me not dropped in over a day

I have the same issue. After a few hours my wifi shows still connected, but there is no access the network. I have to stop and start wifi to get it to work again. Any solutions??

Hello there. I have one question. Using a few random ROMs from a random chiefs I temporary stopped at Evolution 2.5a. but finded a few bugs like incorrect working Camera's interface and troubles with internet sharing. internet sharing via ICS is dummying after some time sharing internet over Wi-Fi is dummying too, after a short time too. I tried to use standard HTC tools for create connection - unuseful. Also tried Morose Media WMWiFiRouter - result wrote earlier. Can anyone tells me, in currient ROMs this bug with internet still present or not?
and what ROM you can advise?

I've used it for a very long time and found no bugs in it. Don't know about the internet sharing bcoz i didn't use it. But the ROM is pretty bug free and very stable.

Dblaster, thanx for your advise, i'll try Pajerm's ROM few days later. Tonight (it still downloading) I'll flash igomyown's ROM forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178025. in testing process I maybe find needed for me services and stay on this ROM. maybe not and try something else.
also it was great idea use Opal as wi-fi router)
and now i needed a internet, but every time install / uninstall SIM can damage Opal, what I can't accept.

Dblaster, Hello. I've tried suggested ROM, but it doesn't fit to my needs. With Internet Sharing this rom works like Jagan's Evolution 2,5A..

Hi there, Robertins. I'll try this rom, but I think it can have such problems with Internet Sharing. Can you test this part of rom? And also test a WiFi Router with functions 3g to WiFi and 3g to USB and report how it works with opal?
all problem that I have a slow connection and a limited traffic on this time and can not download much roms.. Soon this problem will be solved, and in that case Opal with correctly working ICS (internet connection sharing) will not be needed.

Tried following rom. Same bugs. standard tool ICS is bugging, WM WiFi Router works same as with Evo 2,5a.. Can anyone surely advise what I can do with this bug (Sharing internet over USB and WiFi) ?

specific problem is in that Inet sharing works a _wery_short time and hangs (it looks like all correctly working but no ping to any serv) in random types of using (as I wrote ICS by HTC / WM tools and by WiFi Router in random usage - 3g to USB and 3g to WiFi). There is a problem. As I thinking it may be linked with type of PPC. Because I tried few ROMs. All of them have same simptomes of this kind of work with HTC Opal.
I try to find where exactly problem covered. Because I (and maybe someone other users) needed in this functions.

Have u tried this thing with the stock rom yet???
I don't remember if the internet sharing was in it or not.

Yep, in stock rom ICS present, but works as in WM6.5 and 6.5.3 terrible(

Try Pajerm
Try Pajerm's ROM 4.. That is the Best....

i can find some wifi hotspots if its close to the phone but cant connect.

I too live in norway
Have found that sometimes it helps to remove the battery from the phone for 30 seconds or so. After booting, wifi is back to normal.
If that doesnt work, a restart of the router (at least 10 sec without power) also have helped sometimes.

Did you try for 30 sec on the battery? and at least 10 sec on the router?

yeah i did pull it out for like 1 min. both the battery and the router. have also tried to find wifi hotspots at friends and at work still not working.
anyone know of a place to buy cheap wifi board to the HTC hd2 ?
have looked at ebay and mytrendyphone but no luck

what RADIO do you use?

HyperDroid-CM7-v5.3.0[a2sd][CyanogenMod7 LEO 2.3.7][seader_R7] ROM whit RADIO 2.15.50.14

so iam guessing hardware error. i have tryed the red button reset and hardreset whit the volum keys and powerbutton. still not working

This could very well be ROM/Kernel related you would most definitly get a much more specific answer if you were to post in the ROM thread. there is probably more than just you going through this same issue.

in the same vein as the post above, i recommend testing wifi with STOCK WM6.5 to eliminate the (community-made) ROMs (like android, WP7, etc) as possible contributors to the issue.
if you get the same problematic results with the STOCK WM6.5 ROM, then it very likely is a hardware issue. if things are fine with STOCK WM6.5, then do consider a different android build and/or post your findings in the relevant ROM thread so that the chef and users can look into your issue.
if it is a hardware issue, i have read several threads here which seem to indicate that an antenna cable might be loose. a strong indication that this cable is loose is that bluetooth also suffers from a significant drop in range (because wifi and bluetooth share the same antenna). these threads seem to indicate that fixing the cable is somewhat easily possible if you are comfortable with opening the device and fixing it yourself.

i'm fit! yaar its been a while, hows life? i'll call you this week, need to discuss which phone to get next year when i plan to retire the HD2 to "backup" status

A very good advice IMO.
Also it may be a losen contact between wifi/bluetooth module and correspondent antenna: both cases imply to open your hd2..., after this point could be an easy fix!
