O2 XDA Mini and O2 XDA Mini II - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

I`ve search a little in Internet but cant find anything.
I`ve search vor an Upgrade for my O2 XDA Mini and find a Device named "O2 XDA Mini II"
All Upgrades i found was for XDA Mini 2. Even in the Macigcian Wiki here is only a Device called XDA Mini II. I have Sucessfully upgrade my XDA Mini with Cotullas WWE O3 Rom.
I can not find any diffrence between 1 and 2 devices by Google.
But mine is defenitly a "one" cause the Mini 2 have a little 2 on the Front of his Cover.
But what is the diffrence between? Can anyone help?

The Magician is O2 XDA II Mini and the Wizard is a O2 XDA Mini S.
The models dont have much in common as the Wizard has a full slide keyboard and the Magician doesn't have a keyboard.

Magician (O2 XDA II Mini)
Wizard (O2 XDA Mini S)
There is also the Charmer which is actually a pumped up Magician (Not in O2 though, its the T-Mobile Compact II)
Charmer (T-Mobile Compact II)

But none of them is mine,
i have no Slider, .... on my Cover is written XDA mini,.... nothing else, ....
on xda mini2 is written XDA II mini
I have no slider 400mhz xscale cpu, 64 mb ram, ... i`ve installed Cotullas Rom for the Macigian WWE 3.0, so it seems to be a Magician.
Anything else is the same than XDA mini II. It came with WM2003se, 1,3m Cam, BT, and so on.
So i cant found anything. I think i take a Pencil and write the II by my self on the Cover

I guess it should be this one
anyway, its the first time i'm seeing one without the II. will have to check it out

I have two of the XDA mini (without 2) myself, exactly the one in the picture above
I'm wondering too about the differences between them...

i search about this on wiki n found that the one without II was for Germany market..it is also a magician..

O2 XDA EXEC as the HTC UNIVERSAL

Look at this article
http://www.tekguru.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php?article=6679
Quote"The 'Universal' will be marketed by O2 under the title of the Xda Exec and has been specially customised for use on the O2 network with a new incarnation of O2 Active, new graphics, blue LEDs and an O2 branded casing"
I cant wait to have this nice piece of machine.
I hope that this will be available in asia same time as it will be out in UK..
yankee
Cheers for the link
Would be appreciated if any relevant feedback can be posted on Tekguru as O2 are actively monitoring the thread!
Cheers!
so exactly the same customisation they did on the other models then. They can do what they like with active as long as they leave corporate mode option!
I've replied on Tekguru to keep the thread running in one place.
i just been into o2 shop, they have release date for xda exec as september, i love the style and if o2 active works this time, it will be a wonderful step forward for o2 . i was going to post a pic that they have in the o2mag, but i cant post it from my xda 2s. but i love it.

I've just phoned O2 and they say the O2 Exec will be available in the first week of October for £130 - £250 depending on contract. Not available on PAYG. Damn - another month to wait, but enough time to monitor user's experiences.
Exec will be available earlier.

Well...., I was going to go for the Otek Wizard, but that pic blows me away... Really cool design and finally special funtion keys that I can see
Very nice indeed.
Time to invest in a good BT headset with caller ID like the Jabra BT800 or the Sonyericsson HBH-660.

I wanted to say something..................but.....I'm......uummm........ i want it NOW :!:
...And as we all get wooed and wowed by O2's attractive rendition and apparent ,relatively low, upgrade price of this device, we will all convienently forget that after we purchace it, we will wait an eternity for a ROM update to fix the bugs that we all know will be there
Does anyone know if you can copy/Cut/paste from the keyboard, there doesn't seem to be a Ctrl Button.

Will there be 2 versions of the wizard?

I remember from a while back that there was 2 versions of the wizard. One was the one that we are seeing now as the qtek9100 and the kjam and there was one that looked like the apache(cdma version) but it did not have the aerial stub so it could not of been the apache. Does anyone know if there will be a different looking wizard being made that looks similar to the apache? I am quite sure I like the apache design a bit better but I am looking for a GSM device.
Do you mean this ???
I know what you mean , I remember seeing the thread somewhere when info was very scetchy. The pictures we saw if I have you right where the K-Jam or Wizzard and the Apache although minus the arial. The first shots I saw of these were like this . Saying that though Mobilefun.co.uk swear their K-Jam unit will be CDMA even after speaking to them and sending them the Imate spec sheet .. If so then it's the closest guarded secret this century.
The Apache has just been released on Sprint in the states .. You lucky things  I think though the Apache is now a bigger device than was speculated .. Could be wrong though

yeah that is the one. i am really looking forward to the wizard since it seems to have everything i am after with the exception of built in GPS which i will sadly have to live without.
it seems like the units that are coming out are all in the qtek 9100 style which i am not too crazy about. i plan on buying a wizard the second it comes out but i would like to buy the latter version if possible. trouble is that i am not sure if i will be able to contain myself from buying the qtek 9100 once it comes out. especially since we have not seen any of the companies use the latter version as of yet. who knows when it is going to come out or even if it ever will.
I always thought the alternative styles were prototypes. I do remember seeing different versions in the FCC database but the only difference was that one had a camera, the other didnt (to make the phone acceptable in areas where cameras are forbidden).
It is Dopod 838

Big ROM and improve mobile signal.
What is the "code name" for O2 Atom Life?
Hi everyone,
Which countries is this available in?
I have not seen it in singapore yet.
Is it available in thailand. And if so how much is it?
If it is available I might ask my friend to buy as he is going to Bangkok this weekened.
Regards,
Mike.
It is available on the street in Hong Kong now. The retail price is HK$6680.
I think O2 Atom Life also named Appolo...
ya, it is distributed under different names in different regions
Not seen in Singapore, eh? Nope, I count 3 shops in SLS selling this... unit still looks like plastic, tho. <_<
$1400++ (hella prohibitive!), but it has everything you could possibly want. Wifi, 3G, FM Radio, "HUGE! Tracts of land..." you name it.
You can buy it here http://www.anythingonline.com.au/, it is cheaper than Hong Kong.
Sorry, the price is about the same as in Hong Kong. But you can place mail order here. http://phones.anythingonline.com.au/c481/category102
700-1500US in Thailand ... (seems like noone really knows a price ;-)
okay gps but not garmin ... ;-)
I finally brought this phone. It is very fast, a few initial comments from my side:
1. No doubt, big internal memory, I can install all app. to main memory.
2. GSM connect is not as good as 838 Pro, sometimes got no signal.
3. I tried install Mapking, but cannot start properly, other software seems no problem.
4. No smartdialing, which is for 3G phone.

SE X1
this is the HTC version of the SE XPERIA X1, some of the specs are exactly the same, great device none the less
Hi
How big is resolution ?
is it just me or do all these photos look photo shopped? it seems like ive seen all these pics before as just the diamond...
why do the new devices from HTC use all VGA? Available software is mostly optimized for QVGA or am i wrong and all QVGA-Apps also work on this device
I know what PHone i want next now... lol...
when does this come to the US ???
it will probably be out in shops by mid summer
i noticed, sizewise, it's a little smaller than TyTN II
TyTN II is 112x59x19
Diamon Pro is 102x51x18
plus it weighs less: 165 gramms compared to tytn ii 190 g.
This is the perfect upgrade to my mogul
isnt this phone working on cdma only?
as far as I can remmber it is only cdma!
if not
I want 2
the problem is its VGA not QVGA
You guys know how this goes... This phone is a must for me, and as i saw it's kinda same for you. But i'm a poor little guy over here, someone should buy me one

edit wrong minipro fixed it now
cant you buy xperia neo v?
it is 3x better than xperia x.
Please Stand By , we are trying to find a **** to give for you.
Sent from my E15i using XDA
seriously i don't want to give you an answer... (but i don't want to write crap like the others do so...)
decide it for yourself what you want to buy but i can give you the advise not to buy
an older device like Xperia X10.
what you buy, Xperia Mini, Xperia Pro, Xperia Ray, Neo V or whatever you should know best what you want (small or big screen) | need better camera yes/no? | want a keyboard yes/no?
and how much you want/can pay for it -> congrats you found your device
i never ask someone what device to buy, i just do it because i know what i want, and if im not sure i go into store, look at the devices and device for myself and not because (what device is best for custom roms)
just device on the device what you want and like and when you bought it check what custom roms are there and if you want to use one

No one can tell you what device to buy. Make up your own mind.
