Big ROM and improve mobile signal.
What is the "code name" for O2 Atom Life?
Hi everyone,
Which countries is this available in?
I have not seen it in singapore yet.
Is it available in thailand. And if so how much is it?
If it is available I might ask my friend to buy as he is going to Bangkok this weekened.
Regards,
Mike.
It is available on the street in Hong Kong now. The retail price is HK$6680.
I think O2 Atom Life also named Appolo...
ya, it is distributed under different names in different regions
Not seen in Singapore, eh? Nope, I count 3 shops in SLS selling this... unit still looks like plastic, tho. <_<
$1400++ (hella prohibitive!), but it has everything you could possibly want. Wifi, 3G, FM Radio, "HUGE! Tracts of land..." you name it.
You can buy it here http://www.anythingonline.com.au/, it is cheaper than Hong Kong.
Sorry, the price is about the same as in Hong Kong. But you can place mail order here. http://phones.anythingonline.com.au/c481/category102
700-1500US in Thailand ... (seems like noone really knows a price ;-)
okay gps but not garmin ... ;-)
I finally brought this phone. It is very fast, a few initial comments from my side:
1. No doubt, big internal memory, I can install all app. to main memory.
2. GSM connect is not as good as 838 Pro, sometimes got no signal.
3. I tried install Mapking, but cannot start properly, other software seems no problem.
4. No smartdialing, which is for 3G phone.

I cant wait to have this nice piece of machine.
I hope that this will be available in asia same time as it will be out in UK..
yankee
Cheers for the link
Would be appreciated if any relevant feedback can be posted on Tekguru as O2 are actively monitoring the thread!
Cheers!
so exactly the same customisation they did on the other models then. They can do what they like with active as long as they leave corporate mode option!
I've replied on Tekguru to keep the thread running in one place.
i just been into o2 shop, they have release date for xda exec as september, i love the style and if o2 active works this time, it will be a wonderful step forward for o2 . i was going to post a pic that they have in the o2mag, but i cant post it from my xda 2s. but i love it.

I've just phoned O2 and they say the O2 Exec will be available in the first week of October for £130 - £250 depending on contract. Not available on PAYG. Damn - another month to wait, but enough time to monitor user's experiences.
Exec will be available earlier.

Well...., I was going to go for the Otek Wizard, but that pic blows me away... Really cool design and finally special funtion keys that I can see
Very nice indeed.
Time to invest in a good BT headset with caller ID like the Jabra BT800 or the Sonyericsson HBH-660.

I wanted to say something..................but.....I'm......uummm........ i want it NOW :!:
...And as we all get wooed and wowed by O2's attractive rendition and apparent ,relatively low, upgrade price of this device, we will all convienently forget that after we purchace it, we will wait an eternity for a ROM update to fix the bugs that we all know will be there
Does anyone know if you can copy/Cut/paste from the keyboard, there doesn't seem to be a Ctrl Button.
I remember from a while back that there was 2 versions of the wizard. One was the one that we are seeing now as the qtek9100 and the kjam and there was one that looked like the apache(cdma version) but it did not have the aerial stub so it could not of been the apache. Does anyone know if there will be a different looking wizard being made that looks similar to the apache? I am quite sure I like the apache design a bit better but I am looking for a GSM device.
Do you mean this ???
I know what you mean , I remember seeing the thread somewhere when info was very scetchy. The pictures we saw if I have you right where the K-Jam or Wizzard and the Apache although minus the arial. The first shots I saw of these were like this . Saying that though Mobilefun.co.uk swear their K-Jam unit will be CDMA even after speaking to them and sending them the Imate spec sheet .. If so then it's the closest guarded secret this century.
The Apache has just been released on Sprint in the states .. You lucky things  I think though the Apache is now a bigger device than was speculated .. Could be wrong though

yeah that is the one. i am really looking forward to the wizard since it seems to have everything i am after with the exception of built in GPS which i will sadly have to live without.
it seems like the units that are coming out are all in the qtek 9100 style which i am not too crazy about. i plan on buying a wizard the second it comes out but i would like to buy the latter version if possible. trouble is that i am not sure if i will be able to contain myself from buying the qtek 9100 once it comes out. especially since we have not seen any of the companies use the latter version as of yet. who knows when it is going to come out or even if it ever will.
I always thought the alternative styles were prototypes. I do remember seeing different versions in the FCC database but the only difference was that one had a camera, the other didnt (to make the phone acceptable in areas where cameras are forbidden).
It is Dopod 838

Re: O2 Exec for sale - UK
I hear ya on the size - it's still a lovely device though.
Good to know that when I buy out my O2 contract, the value of the device is well worth what it'll take me to buy out the contract.
Hello Vario II / Hermes.
Guys, I'm putting this up on eBay on Monday, but would much rather sell to a forum member! If anyone here wants it please make an offer before then.
No (sensible) offer refused.
I can only offer you £250. Please don't be insulted by the low offer. I'm looking to buy another PDA for my wife, and my budget is tight. Probably too low for you, but it's all that I can afford. I could meet you in North London tonight (Sunday) or Central London tomorrow daytime (Monday) and would give you cash.
Noony, you have PM.
Thanks for the quick reply. I've replied by PM.
Now sold.
I have sold my Herald for a good deal, now I am confused which device to buy.
Please advice

TYNT II
FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!
as soon as tmobile rolls it out.. its mine.. muahahahhahaa
If you don't need a keyboard the Polaris is a wicked phone...or maybe a shift if your ballin' out of control.
The Shift is not a phone.. it's like 7+ inches long and is a UMPC...but the Advantage is considered a phone and still fits in a pant pocket..unless it's a guy that's wearing those stupid brand new super tight & tapered wussie looking girlies pants they try to sell in the men'sdept stores that have no pocket space at all.. but if you're wearing like Rockawear or whatever..then they might fit in the pocket.. hehe btw... the next gen of Advantage is coming out... the Enhanced Advantage X7510
Why did you sell the Herald before getting your next phone lined up??
What are you looking for in your phone?? another pda phone? or just a smart/multimedia phone? something flashy or something powerful? with or without FM radio? blablablablablabla.... give us some more info on what you want! Do you need 3G? or 3.5G? or too poor to afford it lot a lot of other people hehe.
.. :'(
did you already get a new one?
Try out the Touch Vogue or Touch Cruise...
or Sedna... or do you if you liked your P4350.. go for a Panda(cool name hehe for p6300) or TyTn II
What's your budget??
Anyone keeping up with news from the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona???
is there a thread for that yet?
Thank you very much for your openions, I baught a TyTn II, Lovely device, Solid and Fast.
Best Regards
This thing is pretty sweet.

Can you help me please, as I don't really know about these things.
I found a HD2 on eBay UK, number: 160877136223 - I can't add a link as xda doesn't allow it.
My partners HD2 started failing about a month ago and thought I'd buy her a new one.
What do you think? Bargain? x

Looks good & clean, how much is it if it's this one http://tinyurl.com/96j2tuq
have you considered other models? why the HD2 again?
Its a great phone and it looks good grats!
http://tinyurl.com/96j2tuq
Thanks mengfei that's the one (as your link shows) and currently only for eBay bidding/auction style only, so only time will tell how much I get it for, as most of the others are either heavily used or terrible sales lots. I've contacted the seller, who has been very friendly and and will happily allow me to collect it from him, as I'm local to his location in East London.
My partner always goes on about how good her HD2 is and (from what I remember) switches between Windows and Android often. I've been using a Huawei Ascend G300 for about a month now and though it's brilliant, her HD2 (when it worked) still would do better, so a new one would be best I feel.
The bids are still very low for it and the additional accessories will go down a treat for me, lol!
Does xda have a G300 forum, as I have some questions about it?
Actually it really a good phone no wait it's a Legendary phone the HD2!
with so may custom ROMs out there & yes you can even dual boot from it.
IF you can get it brand new at around $230 then it's a good buy since used ones go for around $150
http://tinyurl.com/96j2tuq
Thanks mengfei, the phone is new, has all basic accessories, some warranty even and more bits. It's currently still at a very low price, includes free recorded delivery and only a few hours left!! So I'm very hopeful to get at a bargain!!
Wish me luck everyone
