hello..
I have a friend who has an Iphone, it was so cool that he could pick a number from his phone /contact list and make a phone call using that contact phone number, which shows the contact Phone number instead of his phone.
I am on Telus CDMA. I am wondering whehter HTC diamond touch has a software similar to that. I have been searching and Cannot find any similar. Also wondering wehter I can unllock a Telus CDMA HTC touch dimaon. Please help...
Thank you

hi,
I just changed my Wizard for Touch HD.
First not-so-cool thing I've noticed is that in the WM 6.1 on my Wizard when I wen to dialer, found the contact and selected it I got to see the photo and all the data about the person. This way I could choose the phone number to dial or even send email/sms. This was cool if you had the phone numbers mixed etc...
Does anyone know how to get the better dialer than current Touch HD ?
Thanks,
Smartin
Hey guys, dont know why but when i go to Settings/Phone/Services/Caller ID/Get Settings, its on NO ONE, but yet people still see my number, when i try to change to Contacts Only, and than OK, when i come back to the screen its back on NO ONE, but yet again still phone number comes up. I need to disable this ASAP! i cant have people seeing my number for work purposes becuase i call alot of clients and dont want my number exposed like that
bumpppp ????
I don know about your country's telco. But then as for my country, Call ID display is dependent on the subscriber services. We will have to subscribe to Caller ID no display in order not to show our mobile no to the receiving party.
So to me the caller ID in the settings does not applicable to me.
well im on Tmobile in USA, and i was always able to switch it, but i dont know what i did or installed, but its not working anymore
I thought this was an operator setting?
Hi Guys
Ive searched about, but cant find anything, on this.
On the X10, you have the option to hide or show number in the Caller ID section, is there anyway to hide number to all numbers except the ones in your address book, so they are visible to people you call, HTC had this option on its WM phones, althought the Desire didnt have this option.
thanks in advance

I believe its a network-related option.
Your handset has nothing to do with that unless its supported by your provider
Sent from my X10i
I dont think it is, as im using the same privider, ive been with O2 for ever, it showed up in my TouchDiamond/HD/HD2
but since I moved to Android with desire and now X10, that option isnt in there, it has 3 options, Network default, ( this shows the number) hide number ( hides obviously) , show number (shows number).
Is this an Android issue? as I dont think its carrier related... Although you do get the caller ID options from the carrier. I might Call O2 later.

Please can someone help me.
I have recently changed from vodafone to virgin & ported my old vodafone number to new virgin sim.
My phone is showing my virgin number but when people call me on my old number the call comes through but for some reason my voicemail does not kick in when i miss a call a message comes up saying the number you are calling is unavailable.
But when i ring my voicemail it says it is setup & working.
Does the fact that my phone is showing my now cut off virgin number have anything to do with this.
IF SO HOW DO I CHANGE MY NUMBER TO SHOW UP CORRECTLY IN CALL SETTINGS.
Thank you.
HOW DO I DELETE THIS POST PUT IT IN WRONG PLACE
OK so its a Virgin Sim
Type *#67# into the key pad, after a few seconds you will get a reply, scroll down and note the number including the +44 bit
Then you need to find the Voicemail number on the phone and replace it with that one, Job Done, also the 1 key will then go direct to the VM
Never used a win 7 rom
i have started using my S4 at work
im a cable technician, when i call customers im blocking my number using #31# before the actual number of the client for obvious reasons- its a big company, anything has to go through their customer service center
the thing is, when i call a client using that prefix, its gone in the call log, so when i need to call him again( which often happen) i need to dial the number again which is very uncomfortable as im calling dozens of customers everyday, my older work phone was a simple J105 sony ericsson , which used to saved the number in the call log just as it was, smartphones for some reason, dont...
is this a setting i can change or some other dialer i should use ?
please? anyone?
Maybe try other dialer and contact apps...
