Blackjack (SGH-i607) Keyboard Support

Hi,
I'm trying to add support for the Samsung Blackjack device's keyboard. It seems to have a special keyboard layout where each digit is shared between two buttons, for example, 'E' and 'R' are both used for '1'.
I didn't find any method of telling the OS to change between digit mode and character mode, but I might have just missed it.
I noticed that IME generates the same WM_KEYDOWN (VK_1) message for these two buttons ('E' & 'R').
Any idea how to create a generic solution for this kind of devices? I wouldn't want to query the OEM string and do it hardcoded.
Thanks!

'abc' on touch keypad input- Remove highlight of text

When you are creating a message or a note, and you use the touch keypad as the input (whether using the touch screen or hardware keypad while TOUCH KEYPAD is selected as the input type) the letters are highlighted when you create a message, but if you text fast, and press space, your previously inputted word will dissapear. Is there anyway to stop it from doing this?
Trying selecting the keyboad layout entry and use the hardware keypad, this does not appear.
Any help on this?

Special characters shortcut

Hi
Is it possible to make longpressing a character on the keyboard use a character of my choice? rather than bringing up a menu where I have to click on the screen to choose character?
Example:
I want to use the character Å (A with a ring over it, its in the norwegian alphabet)
I longpress A, and that gives me a menu on the screen with Â, Ã, Ä and Å, and I have to click one of those!
Instead I want to set my own characters like this:
Longpress A = Å (A-ring)
Longpress E = Æ (AE)
Longpress O = Ø (O-line)
I dont know if this exists or even if it is possible, but it would be a great timesaver!
This would indeed be very useful. Request seconded.
Third
Just as a tip for my fellow norwegians, since aa (a with ring above) is the key that is most to use, I usually just copy that letter and just paste it when I need it later, and long press o to got oe and then press enter, and for ae I just long press a and use the scroll wheel to move one field down and then press enter.
Not sure if this works for you, but I manage just fine with this approach. The only thing that annoys me is the lack of support for foreign keys in the android browser.

Add characters in Touch Input Keyboard?

In my Touch Input Keyboard, when I go to 12# > 1/2 > 2/2, I see six keys empty. It's possible to add extra characters in these keys (like ª, º)? Thanks.
I'm wondering about the same thing. Anyone? =)

Special characters on keyboard.

Wonder if any can help or recommend something for me.
alot of my passwords use special characters like £ and $ and % and my old HTC one M8 had some of these mapped to the usual letters on the keyboard, so it was nice and easy to long press a key to get the character i was after.
with the default keyboard one the 5 i have to flip to an alternate layout to get the character i'm after.
does anyone know if its possible to change this?
thanks
