hi guys, i'm having this weird problem with niki, if someone calls me i don't see the name or contact picture on the screen, so i don't know who is calling.
my phone just rings and it only shows the today screen that's all.
i'm not sure though if there is a setting on this because i can't find one currently...
any help much appreciated, thanks!
lol finally found the solution myself
it's the S2U2(Slide to Unlock 2) program that's bugging it.
i think it overrides the default "incoming call screen" of WM.
and even if you close the program it still won't work, so had it uninstalled.

S2U2 is a program call "Slide to Unlock" version 2. this program is similar to iphone's stand by screen. it prevents unwanted "taps" on the screen. the name actually says it all "Slide to unlock"
since you don't have S2U2 installed, what other 3rd party software do you have? one of them might be conflicting with WM6's default "incoming call" program

remove S2U2
or you can try to contact the author of the programmer to do something with that bug
It's found there are several issues when running S2U2 on Diamond. An intermidiate fix is that:
1. Disable DirectDraw will prevent the occasional blank screen;
2. Enable NoBackLightCheck (it's only valid in v1.05 or later; create a DWORD value with name NoBackLightCheck and value 1 under \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2U2; restart iLock2) will make IdleStart works again.
Known issues:
1. CallerID does not work.
2. Home key cannot be locked.
3. "S2U2 Settings" has error when it's scrolling about half the way.
UPDATE on 29 July:
A new version of S2U2 v1.10 is released at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412418.
For optimal usage with Diamond, make sure you grab the VGA version & turn on "Don't double check Backlight" at the S2U2 Settings.
thnx A_C for the info, already try to solve it but hope you can come out a diamond version soon....by the way s2v zoom function also not able to use on diamond any solution??
Had the same problem with zooming, did not found the bugs with s2u2 yet but if you say soo... Is there a version for Daimond of s2u2 en s2v coming??
Greetz and thanx for your wonderfull applications!
thank you for yr concern. the only thing that real bother me is my diamond always answering my calls due to the pressure from the belt case. i realy hate that. i miss s2u2 soooooo much. please do something. no need of gifs or fancy clocks. only a slide to unlock and caller id that works with the diamond. please!...
"ExceptionEXE4"="cprog.exe"
"SafeMode"=dword:00700000
for callerID, if you use advanceconfig to disable the phone skin, then it works! But your diamond-style dialpad will disappear.
I just installed S2U2 on my diamond.
When my device is locked, i can access my device when i press the home key. so basically, it is not ''locked''.
any idea how to disable all hardware buttons during locked up?

I don't know why my Diamond touch screen was disable when I lock it with the new version 1.10b? Cannot slide to unlock? I've uninstall my older version, delete all the file/ reg. and install the new version. Can anyone told me what to do? Thank you so much and I love this software very much!!!
Hi,
After I connect to my company exchange server, the mobile's device encryption is set on because of company policy.
There is no problem with the standard WM6.5 interface. However, in TL3D, the device semi-lock: TF3D is dim out in a "Title" page and cannot be scrolled left / right. I can till click on the items on the TF3D main screen and all applications can still be run by "start" menu. There is a funny icon on the bottom-left corner as well.
Once I remove the exchange connection, device encryption will be off and TF3D returns to normal.
Any one know how to unlock the screen or fix it?
Thanks.
are you using a dutty's rom??
I had the same screen while I was trying to change the look of tf3d with MAXTTM - on dutty 4.2 wm6.1

I'm using Miri rom. It seems to be a problem / feature in tf3d regardless of WM version. Did you resolve it with other rom?
I will be very upset to lose either TF3D or mobile exchange. Someone please help.
one option would be to turn of the pin lock (if thats what your talking about)
when you connect to exchange if forces you to enter a pin lock BUT if you edit the registry you can reanable the check box that will allow you to turn pin lock off
if you check
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies:00001023 it will more than likely be set to 1 .. if you change it to zero it will allow you to disable the pin lock

Hi
Are there any options to show more appointments on the lockscreen than ONE?
One event is a little bit less for a good overview.
Thanks for help.
Hi!
I don't know much about WM 6.5 default lock screen. But I use S2U2 and you can configure it to show several (I guess it's up to 7) appointments in its lock screen.
i mean the HTC Sence Lockscreen:

They know what you mean, which is why they suggested slide2unlock. It's a replacement for the WINDOWS lock screen (not HTC), that does what you ask.
Just to check whether anyone tested the Slide2Unlock application on WM.5 or HD2?
I try to do a search in this forum but it seems that only the old version is available and nobody is developing that application anymore.

Err, not true. The thread you want is in the Development & Hacking Forum. To download you need to access AC's website (the author) which is one of the download links within the relevant thread.

My friend told me that he saw some of the HTC Device using the WM6.5 have a better unlock screen than the HD2 or Leo which will show the Number of SMS and Missed Calls details on the lock screen instead of the numbering on the lock button.
Managed to find this program to replace the stock lock and unlock screen, you can display number of SMS, MMS, Emails or Missed Calls instead of the number beside the Lock Icon.

well, s2u2 is nice for XDA Herald, but not for the HD2.
The standard-lockscreen on the HD2 is much pretty nicer than the s2u2 for me.
are there no reg-hacks on xda-developers???
I totally agree with cms. The windows mobile lockscreen is excellent but it only shows one damn appointment! Surely this has got to be possible?

Yeah, I too like the standard lock screen, would be nice if it showed more appointments though.
Not keen on installing S2U2.
Would be amazing if someone modded the lock screen.
I installed S2U2 on my HD2 and agreed on most of the comments. The standard lock screen looks better but is too basic. The S2U2 has all the info I needed but I cannot get rid of the standard windows one so I ended up having 2 unlock screen now which is annoying. Does anyone know how to disable the standard one?

BSB Tweaks does that.
Or Settings>Security>block phone> untick block screen.
But in my opinion s2u2 is better, it shows the sms, mms, email, and tasks that original htc dont

Just as a matter of interest, do you guys who say you don't like S2U2 know you can customise it by putting in your own wallpapers and/or gifs? You can even have the wallpaper change at regular intervals, giving you a fresh look whenever you wish.
So what you can do, if you wish, is to have a wallpaper that closely resembles the standard lock's wallpaper but sat in S2U2. You then get a better lock application with the look you are after.
WB
PS: If you knew all this but still like the standard item then ignore me.
I like the standard lock screen and would very much like more than 1 appt to be shown. I have tried S2u2 but i find it a bit bloated now, it is very capable and works but i just find it too big/bloated.
Is there a way we could tweak the MS lock screen?

Thanks. Interestingly I cannot find the block phone function under Security so I disable it through S2U2.
As it happens I was also fiddling with the latest version of S2U2 yesterday evening. Hadn't used it since I had my TP.
I'm running XannyTech's latest rom and when I use S2U2 as a replacement for the win6.5 lock, my Manila sliding tabs on the bottom slide behind the bottom bar where the softkeys are displayed on.
Anybody seen this before? I seem to remember that there was a little program to correct that but can't find it back.
Tried fiddling with S2U2' settings but disabling bottom and top bar did not help either.
if anybody knows how to correct that, would be great to hear.
ps: when uninstalling S2U2 and soft reset puts the manila sliding tabs back where they should be...

S2U2 is definitely the way to go if you want to configure the lockscreen to add more calendar entries. But I never got the hang of using the alert bubbles sitting in the bottom right corner of the screen as they were too hard to press with my thumb, one-handed.
I posted in the S2U2 thread about this but the suggestion there was to go back to the original WM lockscreen. Which I did.
I too prefer the standard Lock screen except would love it to show more Calendar items and perhaps Birthdays. The configure page is really limited but better this than someting too bloated for a lock screen.
Tried but i cant disable the htc hd2 lockscreen.
In omnia i had disabled the wm lockscreen and had the old lock.
Now i disabled the wm lockscreen and have the htc lock.
How can i disable this also?
Thanks in advance!!

how about not cooking the htc lockscreen in your rom? the reg that sets htc lockscreen as a custom lockscreen is here....try deleting the part in red and soft reset, maybe that will work im not sure.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\Lock]
[COLOR="Red"]"CustomLockScreensMask"=dword:00000013
"CustomLockScreensPath"="\\Windows\\LockScreen"[/COLOR]

I did not find these registry settings.
I tried to remove the htc lockscreen by removing the two lockscreen application packages in ext but lockscreen was still there.
Thanks for your reply!!
if you tried removing the htc lockscreen ext pkgs, the one that is still there is the ms 6.5 lockscreen if you want to get rid of it try deleting the cprs out of the ls pkgs in sys and see what happens.
solved
I went to HKLM/software/microsoft/shell/lockscreen
and changed Enable key from 1 to 0.
Now I have old lock style that i want.
Thanks
Is there any way to totally get rid of lock screen?
After having tried the register control settings for lock screen disabling, and PocketShield type lock screen control apps, I am still unable to totally eliminate the HTC HD2 lock screen from coming on when powering up.
Is it possible to totally dump the lock screen? When I power up (or my scheduled app powers up) I do not want anylock screens getting in the way. Does one have to "cook" up special ROMS to get rid of the HTC or Microsoft locking function?
Thanks much.

With the registry edit of the above message you got no lock screen but just the ability to lock the phone.
Pretty good progress!
Thank you for the reply. Maybe I should have started new thread as my need might slightly different.
I am still looking for the total elimination of the lock screen(s) period. But in the mean time took another look at PocketShield. It has a nice configuration feature where one can select specific applications that when launched (in my case by the device OS scheduler) fire up without a lock screen. This is very close to what I need and looks like it will suffice. Thank you PocketShield!
Roger

As far as I can read the answer is not here. I'm also looking for a way to completely disble *any* lockscreen.

Hi,
I also made this, but now not only the appearing "Unlock" Button in the display unlocks the phone -every Hardware-Button (except the "hung-up") unlocks it. Is it possible to deactivate them, too?
