Hello
Can someone tell me please how to change the "press and hold" button delay.
My delay is set for 5 seconds. That is annoying.
I know there is some tweak but where is it hiding in the registry?
Thanks
Hardware press button delay or gesture delay?
Record delay
It's the record button delay.
When I press and hold the record button it takes 5 seconds till the VoiceRecord starts. I wand it to start after 2 seconds. any idea?
I think, this isn't possible, because it recorder launch time.
Just slow memory, a lot of running processes.
Press and Hold Delay for On Button
how about the opposite - lengthen the hold-down time it requires to start the phone (Titan). Now it can easily get nudged and it will turn on - I'd like to see a one or two second hold-down time. Any ideas?
Hi all,
Just wondering if there is a way to tweak the end call button using registry?
I would like to hold the end call button for 3 seconds to get the following results:
After 1 second the phone locks, I will remain holding the button for another 2 seconds and the phone should turn the screen off.
or
After 1 second the phone should lock, if I let go now the screen will remain active.
Having these 2 options would be useful, even better without a 3rd party application.
[SOLVED] - A good work around is to reassign left soft key (or right) to action the End Key. Now when I press the left soft key the device instantly locks (screen turns off after the standard 1 minute).
I'm new to Topaz. Every time I finish a phone call or a program, I need to wait for several seconds until the screen is turn off. In fact, I do not key lock my phone.
I wonder if there's any soft button (in any kind of program) can turn the screen off after I finish using the PDA phone?
Short press of the (hard) power button turns off the screen (but not the device). That's not satisfactory?
Hi jabok, thank you for yr reply and i noted the "hard" power button method. As the power button is located at the top of the phone and the button is a little bit difficult to press, in my opinion.
That's why I'm looking for a program or shortcut to have a "soft" button on-screen to turn off the screen

Yes, you may try PSSHUTXP or SVMPOWERMGR. I am currently using SVMPOWERMGR which provides 4 shortcuts in Windows Start program and one of them is screen off.

You can use TouchLockPro and configure CommandCallEnded = !SUSPEND.
You can also couple a (hardware) key shortcut to TouchLockAction SUSPEND
Seems lie you have to press the button forever before bootup begins. I know it's only about 5 second but is there any way to shorten that time?
i don't really have this issue.I have never turned my tablet off.only reboot it when flashing something in recovery. That is not often lately as my tablet works perfect for what I use it for.
And yes it does boot a bit slow.
You can use a start up bootditorrom market tohelp this.
It is actually 3 seconds before boot up begins.
I'm glad you have to hold it 3 seconds because I have another tablet that boots as soon as you push the button and if I put it in something to transport it, it always bumps the button and boots up.
oops i misread your post..
the reason this is 5 seconds is the fallowing .. but only approx time i believe.
1 second ( push let go)
Turns display on and off.
3-5 seconds.... (push and hold)
Turns device on...
5-9 seconds ( turns device off FORCE SHUTDOWN)
10-? seconds .. this if i remember correctly.. (Holding in the reset button)
WIll do hard reset on the device. similar to settings/privacy factory reset its all in the manual .
The power button is software programed.. you find the file that controls this you could maybe change . But this might be a bootloader configured file...come to think of it i.... .

I think he means when the tab is powered off he has to hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn it on.

You could be .. but the delay is for obvious reasons..
So to not turn your device off or on by touching the button.. I had a cell phone that had a simple touch not hold off or end key... always turning it off or hanging up on people by accident...
sometimes ill press the power button and nothing happens for 10 seconds. so i press it a few more times and then it will wake up. maybe the first push registers and takes a while? or.....?

mine did that for a while. but it hasn't been doing that for a while now..
I find that whenever I change anything on the lock screen - widgets, backgrounds, app shortcuts - it'll take a bit longer to turn on after I press the power button the next few times. This is especially true when I use a live wallpaper on the lockscreen.
