Hello XDA members!!
That is my first topic here, so at the beginning I would like to say hello. So.. hello everybody !! ;D
While reading this forum I've learned rly much about my xperia. Recently I've found thread about program for voice commands and thought that it may be rly cool stuff!! And now the problem starts :/
I've installed Microsoft Voice Commander but, as I am from Poland, I am having rly big difficulties to communicate correctly with the program. And it does not say name of the caller - known bug.
So I've took Voice2Go, but it is quite.. heavy? and for example when outside or in the toilet it can not recognize commands :/ and when xperia is on vibrate it does not work at all.. and when it says name of the caller - he does it rly quiet - can it be as loud as ringer?
can anybody advice me some other programs that I've could test? or Improve those two above?
any suggestions would be very appreciate
thx!!
Cyberon Voice Commander - perfect recognition.

Dear All,
This is my first post at the forum. All my other questions have been answered via the search function, so I'm very gladfull that all of you know this awsome machine so well.
Actually I do have a rather challenging question you everyone who is reading this forum.
When I'm talking to somebody on the telephone, normally keeping it to my ear. Now I would like to open my agenda en start writing in it to schedule an appointment. I would the system to switch to handsfree mode as soon as I slide open my keyboard? Is there a way to do this?
Did somebody maybe found an upgrade for this?
For instance, I know that when you open the Nokia 9300 while calling it will transfer to the speaker function?
Well, maybe someone can help me solve my little issue.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jort.
Thats a very good question. I had never thought of that, but it would be nice, although not essential as switching to speaker is fairly quick and easy to do. If there was a reg hack or util to do it, it would use it for sure.
I know what you mean, i use it most of the theme this way. i bod a Bluetooth headset for this problem. but if there is a way. It wil make me happy
Have not seen a hack for this - just hold down the call button as you slide the keyboard open - that will do it
thats just like the lg V on verizon
good question !!
if we can find this will be a good hack to add to your device.
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a program that will let me click a button and record my phone coversation with someone on the cell phone. I do not know if that is even possible but I would like to be able to record important phone calls to my SD card.
Please let me know if you know of any software or way of doing this.
Thanks,

yes ... yes there is an app available regardless of the countless threads describing why there cannot be one (cred to Menneisyys who worked on that for ages)
how the app works is you pay someone to follow you around ( a stalker is good for this purpose and costs less) then when your phone rings you simply
-Hand it to them to answer
-Give a brief detailed message to the person on the phone(get someone with a good memory, it costs more but it is worth it)
-They write down a message.
-They hand back the phone (providing you pay them enough) then hand you the message.
its as easy as that!
(you could also just search to find the answer!)
Thank you for a very usless answer. I hope you didnt hurt yourself typing it.
Also searching it dont help because smart people like you post crap without knowing the answers so if you search there are 10 people saying that it works with resco or pm tools or vito recoder and others and the other half says it wont work with smart phones.
So who is right?

Old postI gave up on but i have not been here for a while and just have to say it.
Ok so the links he gave me take me to crap about answering machines which i was not looking for. I need to record phone calls not an answering machine. Also even if i was looking for an answering machine those posts still do not answer any questions just couple of people one saying well its hardware another no its software another we can break it another no we cant .....
The hardware limitation in the Hermes, and most other WM PPC phones for that matter, applies equally to answering machine as well as call recording software.
Buy a Gigabyte WM phone if this functionality is important to you. Or better, any Nokia Symbian S60.
Actually it DO appears to work...
I haven't done too much experiments yet but answering machine on my Hermes seems working fine.

Interesting... and the quality of the recorded audio is good? You don't need to keep the phone in speakerphone mode to record the audio, i.e. the phone will be quiet while recording the audio?
Does not work on hermes.
Yep... I'm having troubles too.
It seems I have spoken too fast.....
BUT they have released 3 major updates in the last few days.
New version is iSecretary 3.0.
Going to test it.
*EDIT*
In the first post they are looking for Call Recording software.
Answering machine is quite OT, so I posted my first impresions in the correct thread.

I don't know if anybody else has this problem with their diamond... but I was sitting at my desk the other day, with my diamond on the desk in it's case.
Then i heard voices, I thought I was going mad at first but I think I've found a small design flaw with the case that's provided... There's a piece of elasticated fabric inside the case which stops the phone from dropping out the other end. This was pressing on my screen exactly in the right place to answer a call. I didn't touch it and the phone was screen-up in it's case on my desk.
The question has been posed before, "How can I disable the incoming call notification on the screen?". And so far, as far as I can tell, it's not been answered. So here I am, determined to do something about it.
If anybody has any ideas regarding this... including in the development of some software to solve the problem, please post them here. I am a software developer myself and I intend to write an application to solve this problem and share it with you all.
My initial ideas are:
Find the notification/message/service responsible for popping up the Incoming Call window
or... Subclass the Incoming Call window when it appears to disable the answer button
er... that's about it so far actually.
So guys any help would be great
Regards
John

I don't know if you are looking for that I'm thinking of, but search the Forum for
[APP][Oct 11th, 2008] Answerkeys Disabler (v0.5.1)
I think that is what you are looking for!
Works fine on my device (MDA Compact IV) with original ROM.
And of course touchlockpro...
Are you telling me I spent all that time writing this thread and there's already an application.... ..... .. . .... damn.
Thanks for the reply though guys, I'll check those out.
Saw yesterdays American dad episode when Stan was searching for his phone which he had lost, and he had set it to vibrate mode and therefore he could not call the phone... his wife "said" something smart
"why cant you just invent like a code, you dial the phone and enter the code and it switches to another profile" something like that...
Now a phone-call couldn't be possible, but how about via a text-message?
I'm not a programmer so i don't know the limitations of the API(?) in the TD but it should be possible i.e scan a (incoming) text-message for a specific code and then call a function to switch profile / turn up the volume
well well, just an idea thrown out
to all programmers and chefs @ XDA - just love the work you're doing!
Remote Tracker
You mean an application like Remote Tracker?
You could ask someone with knowledge of that app to help you out, or maybe it already exists!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394203
already exists. smsRunner
hello !
@fnotsje
thank for the tip about remote tracker, but I already have it in subscribed threads, maybe going to the first page a little more often is something I'll have to work on
@bbobeckyj
thank you for the tip, will check it out
*note to self - search a few times extra when in middle of the night*
Hello there,
at first: Please excuse my really english, but i will do my best - So here is my question:
How can I catch an incoming SMS-event of a specified number?
My idea: I bought a GPS/GSM system an build it up in my car. If the alarm of my car starts (by shaking, crash a window, what else) i recieve an SMS. No i want to write a litte application that catches that number and starts a loud sound that I will wake up immedeatly.
So, can you help me? I used the "search-button" but I didn't find a word about it... (maybe I used the wrong words for searching)
Best greetings from germany
Henning
PS: My system: XDA Orbit I, Visual Studio 2008, i wrote 2-3 little apps (Hello World, and so on... you know )!
I think rk-sms might be able to help you.
