iPhone Killer Splashscreen
i created a Splashscreen for my diamond so i thought id share it with you guys
All credit goes to Lucchini for creating the original image, i just edited it slightly and made it in to a flashable file!!
Note: This is a replacement for the initial splahscreen when you switch on your handset not the HtC animation or the windows loading screen, Just flash the .nbh file with the custom ruu in the zip

Hi long time reader and not many posts.
Im a bit unsure of this i clicked on the RUU installer and all I get is a grey screen with a percent bar on it that doesnt move. Is this normal and how do I stop it? I realise that Im a bit green on this as I thought it would be as easy as installing a CAB file.

Ok it shot up a error after about 5 mins and I was able to get it back.

Do you have hardspl? and are u using a diamond not a touch pro ect

Version 2. I wanted to make it look a little less "busy" so I gave it more of a see-through effect and each button is very slightly different, fitting in with a complete screen image, if you see what I mean.
Also matched the ROM colour better.
B/W version added as an alternative
Unzip files and copy to /Windows using TotalCommander or something similar.
As usual, every button you press on your PDA is at your own risk ;-)

Hey DaVince - where did you get those HTC Home icons from? They look great!
which launcher is that below the htc home plugin? I'm currently using claunch, but that one looks good.

It's the WM 6.1 ROM for the Touch Dual by tom_codon. Once officially released, I'm sure somebody will extract them and post it here.

I was wondering this exact thing the other day!
edit the .lnk file to have this:

Hi folks! Been Browsing your pages a lot these days and I like your stuff. SO I thought I'd sign up and give something back to you: A custom startup animation for the X1. Put the file into Windows folder (overwriting the original) and there you go. Warning: You cannot do this over ActiveSync! I'm not sure if it works with the built-in file explorer, I did it with RESCO Explorer, works fine after confirmation. Make sure you have a backup copy of the original file somewhere. I'd be glad to hear some comments Tell me if you like it or not and WHY. If you don't have any idea what this is gonna do: It will change the animation right after the Sony Ericsson logo when you power it up. Sony Ericsson logo before and Windows logo after remain untouched.
EDIT: Just found out that I have to ZIP the file... Otherwise it becomes JPG. So Download, Unzip, and THEN copy.
Well I kinda made one too. Just for fun.
If the startup animation doesn't show up, download the ALLOWANIM.ZIP file, extract and merge the registry settings in your x1.

And another attempt by me, this one's a little bit more exciting and I've stolen your idea about fading the logo PSD this time included.
The animation goes like:
Fade out SE logo
Show "Sony Ericsson" text with a shiny animation
Fade in white glowing "X1"
Fade out glowing "X1"
Hope you like it, haven't tested it yet on my X1.

my x1 only has SEMC2904.bmp in windows folder, im using resco.
so tried to change name of SEMC1904.gif to it and says cant overwrite because its part of rom.

Sigh: neways 1904 is the animation, and part of rom but it won't do anything but play at the boot so safe to replace from rom.
The 2904 is part of the static splash screen with the big green SE logo. Replacing it won't damage anything. Safe to replace.
If you want bootscreen change, just replace welcomehead.192.png, again safe to change Have fun.

Here are some Clock cabs I made for the new Hero style Manila 2.5! One will give you clear flip panels and a blue tinted background with white letters! The other black flip pannels with white letters and a green tinted background! I noticed there are not many mods for the new Manila 2.5 so I wanted to get some started! Enjoy friends!

Hi VETTE, sorry for the late answer...
I'll provide the clock for sure and try to explain for you, it's no big deal.
First I gathered the two cabs, then extract them with WinCE cab manager and then used manila editor to see wich files belonged to wich part of the clock.
So I wanted the blue background (there is a file just for that) and all the rest, black number background and everything else, from the green one. I just copied the files from the green clock and the file for the blue background to windows directory and it's done.
Never forget to disable HTC Sense before doing anything, also make sure the attribute files checked in the properties are "archive", "read only" and "system" before copying them to windows dir. And last but the most important, make backups of the files, we never know what can go wrong.

Everything has been made a comfortable blue. This takes an extraordinary amount of time, since there are manila files, png files, bmp files and dll files that needed to be fixed. I think it is done-please give me some feedback if I have missed anything.
The cab is over 37mb so it is hosted on my web site. It is manila 2.5 2013.

The will lead you to page giving you the option to delete the link so any one can delete it which was happened with the CAB link so change the link immediately.

this looks great and would love to use this but have a few questions..I have tried Mighty (awesome ROM), I have used 7PPC (Dave Morley--very awesome) and now I am using Mr X's latest ROM..I wanted to know first how is this dialer reacting with Mighty ROM as I simply cant get this custom thing right when it comes to the dialer funtionality..I seem to get hung up trying to slide the dialer ( nearly an every day issue and when it occures I cant even answer the call)..I am guessing it could be my custom taskbar--tried to use the purian/tsowen one on the Mighty link as well the CDMA bilbo-mighty taskbar with not much luck as well..I really like the tasbar you have as well but not sure of the process (do you need sdk, nue battery etc or can you just download the cab?)--are you having any issues with this one? sorry for the long note..Your work looks great and figured I would ask..thanks again

I have no issues. And for the dialer I just flipped the pressed and normal dialers. It is a BMP file and just changed the names so that the black dialer is normal. If you want just the dialer I can cab that for you.

Would you consider an upgrade of your rom. It is easy and sense 2.5 has a lot more to offer.
But if you are sticking with the 2.1-I am sorry because I just deleted the cab I made for 2.1 when I finshed the 2.5 cab-just because it was hosted off XDA and taking up space.
I still have the 2.1 black dialer though. Install and soft reset.

You may be right. I guess the drive to be more iphone like motivates htc. But I like the weather on the home and the program links with finger scrolling. I gave up 2.1 a while ago but I can see why you might want to keep it.
I also upgraded to vista.
HTC updated their website in the last year, went from black to white.
Unfortunately, they incorporated this change also into the official ROM with Sense. The very first splash screen is white, and also the second animated is white. I don't like them at all.
Can I change them somehow?

You are speaking of the screen that shows your radio versions? I'm thinking that those are in the ROM and cannot be changed without burning a new ROM into your device.
You can change the splash screen that comes up AFTER the initial screen, do a search. It is a fairly simple matter of copying a picture file over to the /windows directory, overwriting the existing file.
here is the tool to change it back to black...

Actually, you can change that screen fairly easy. I few months ago I found a mod that used a rom update utility to change it, but it didn't affect the current rom. Just the first boot screen. It was a dark grey and black striped background with HTC in the middle. If I can find the link, I will provide.

I think that's what's in the .zip that jdmsleepr posted above...I looked inside and it looks like a simple ROM update setup, like the one you describe. I'll use it as soon as somebody else tests it

It looks to me like this burns the ROM, or part of it. So I'm to assume that one would need the hard SPL before use?
