i am going to upgrade from my 1.93 o2 rom.which custom rom do you recommend i use?
Wrong place to post a thread here, i guess you should try the rom section. And nobody can suggest a rom, its all basically about your own opinion, best way is to flash one and if you dont like it flash another. thats the only advice i can give you sorry.
Oh this thread will be closed, within a matter of time!

Sorry, that's a silly question...everyone has their own favourite...you just have to try them yourself.
+1 i have tried more than 20 roms and still to find the "BEST" one.

Sorry, but we have a kind of un-written rule here that asking for the "best" ROM is not allowed.
As said above - there is no "best" ROM that suits everybody. Some are lean and lite with few apps added in, others are full of the Cooker's idea of what is good (which not be your idea of good!). They are all made to suit the cookers idea of Best.
All you can do is read the main ROM threads and decide if that ROM will suit you.
So, sorry but closing this thread. Feel free to ask about a ROM in it's own main thread BUT in general most questions have been asked already.

I'm thinking about getting a new ROM as the one I have is stock and is utterly poop. Can you choose one and not ever need to change it again and it will stay the same speed for ever? I have a few questions that I hope you could all answer.
How do I install once downloaded a ROM
If I was to install a ROM and it did not work do I just do a hard reset to get it back to standard?
Once I have a new ROM can I still use apps that I have if I install them again?
Should I back up files I have atm and how?

all of thoseare answered at least 10,000 times already. If you look up there is even a thread with comparisons of ROMs now, how about starting that and then working from there.
No need for the WOW comment, I'm a bit impatient at times I will have a read about but would still like my questions answered.

thats one thing you dont want to be mate, impatient when it comes to flashing roms, for eperienced flashers its a 5 minute job, but for newcommers its easy to **** up.
I would suggest spending some time reading up about it before jumping straight in at the deep end.

Sorry to make another thread about this...but I looked and I couldn't find anything specific. I find general ones, but I get lost in the steps because some of them simply say " Do this" and I don't even know how to get to that.
My Fascinate is rooted, has a lagfix from another forum (don't remember which one) and nothing else.
I would like to flash that super clean rom by JT and also install that gingerbread theme that in the "Themes and Apps" section of the Fascinate Forum.
Is there anyone who could point/link/help me?
I see everyone say this flashed this or that and I have no clue how to do it.
First for reference purposes ll question threads should be located in the general section.
To flash things you need THIS working on your phone. And continue to keep reading and it will all make sence.

Im trying to change the bootanimation, but i cant seem to get superuser to let me access to root, im using the ROM-ZIP, am i doing something wrong,
so many wrong things about this thread i can't even mention them
Try fixing permissions, uninstall and reinstall superuser....

Firstly this is the NAND development forum, ie for posting NAND developments, secondly if you want to ask a support question about a specific ROM then you do so by first reading the specific roms thread and if it isnt answered you then ask in THERE!

you forgot one, the most important: use question mark when asking! it's like wanting to buy something but you pay with rocks.
Question pretty much says it all. I am just trying to get a feel on what the majority seems to agree upon in order to give a friend a couple of pointers.
Questions have no place in Development. Please post in the correct sections when asking questions as there is a whole section for them here.
Also remember there is no such thing as a best ROM so if you ask for the best ROM this thread will be closed.
