what settings do you have?
I think any version above 1.24 has issue. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501010&page=6
Would like to try it.
where did you get it from?
How is the album art issue?
hw acceleration? : )
im using coreplayer and i have done what you've done too - pretty neat isnt it- although for other things i do reencode like films
I have 1.3.2 same build, and the album art problem is still there ... and it still doesnot support h/w acceleration on Xperia...
earlier i had 1.3.0, and there might be some bug fixed, but other wise, no much improvement speically in album art display which is surprising.

How are you making this determination re: h/w acceleration?
I have 1.3.2 and album art/cover works fine... i dont know what you guys are mocking about.. on 1.3.0 it also worked
If i werent to lazy i also would have posted screenshots
There is no performance gain in 1.3.2 over 1.3.0. The performance is the same, and no hw acceleration is available either. From what I see in the changelog, 1.3.2 is more of a bugfix to 1.3.0.
I really hope that in 1.4 coreplayer will support HW acceleration by the videocard of X1. That will make a huge difference.

what resolution is the video
can you install 1.3.0 and verify if it performs worse than 1.3.2 . i'm under the impression that the major performance increase is with version 2.0
The real issue of for version > 1.24 is the whole graphic system will get very slow after using it for a while. And the only solution is soft-reset.

ermm yeah .. i used version 1.3.0 .... lagged /skipped to pretty much unwatchable. now flawlessly on 1.3.2 ..
so it appears that theyve done some optimization for our X1s (finally)
even if there isnt hw acceleration yet/ever this is still a significant improvement
how to install the new version 1.3.2
does one have to uninstall the previous version 1.3.0 or can I install the new version on top of the old one?
thanks for your help!
no improvment at all.
for MPEG4 coded Videos there are the same lags in 1.3.2 as in 1.3.0. nusable to watch viedeo's, still have to use MP.
ROM: Itje 7.0 RC1

hmm .. i just wanted a player that could play my movies tv episodes skip/lag free without downconverting it first .. this version worked for me .. ( before this .. everything had to be re-encoded .. and it was quite frustrating to be honest ...re-encoding 8 gb of tv eps.... )
as far as hardware acceleration goes ... im not sure how to test for that .. but it recognised the xperia model and processor .. and like i said .. it plays the tv eps flawlessly.
album art wise... i dont really use coreplayer for that ... ( mortplayer for me... skip track with the remote is priceless)
i use Nx1i rom on my experia if that makes any difference..

Ummm, not to irritate anyone, but CorePlayer is a commercial software, and we should not be posting it. That would be warez.
Thanks.
I use 1.2.5 and it runs buttery smooth on my xperia

agreed, it has no improvements over the other versions.
I encountered the same lag/no playback issues.
shame, the gui of coreplayer is quite nice.

just use wvgafix3 and the frame rate becomes more than double the default wvga 10-12fps. the games is so much better now
can anyone explain this? i mean vga is only %25 less pixels only but it performs more than %100 more
also i wonder if there is a way to get the game to run at full screen with 400x240 mode (full screen). at this resolution the game will probably run over 50fps
I have my game running at super smooth framerates (feels like 30ish fps) at the full WVGA resolution. All I did was install the Touch Diamond ATI graphics drivers on my Touch-IT v4.5 rom and it boosted my fps tremendously without me having to lower the resolution!!
The Xperia really is a fast little phone. It just needs the right software to make use of it.
where to find the driver ....if u could post the link it'd be nice !
I installed the game, runs really smooth and fast (dont know what fps)
Not useing fix or ati drivers
Lifes good on the x1 these days
wat game is it
I have running itje's custom ROM and am playing the game in its full WVGA glory... It is super fast without lags... and is a pretty great game!!! Hopefully SE will add more games in the final R3 ROm they release...
Can we have some links ???
What about screen shots???
I have R2A, and works in wvga very fast and with no problems.
Yes i found this game in the touch-it 4.0 topic it is in a cab archive install it and i is amazing hope sonyericcson release this game in the release of the news xperia...It is so fast and it has amazing graphics...Where did itje found this amazing game it is a develop by sonyericcson? They could really use this game to make more sell of this amazing phone i mean have you ever seen such a wonderful game?
I played it few times on my X1i, latest oryginal rom from SE, no additional drivers and it's very smooth, no lags at all. Nice game - and it's full version.
weird i just switched to wvga and its doing about 20 fps. i probably had stuff in the background when i tested initially ... not sure ohh well all is good
the cab of the game is here
Aaron J can you post the drivers you used here
also do you think this can run on 400x240 full screen
Hey guys here's the link to the ATI Driver in CAB form. See if it makes any difference for you.
http://www.4shared.com/file/93871170/d711462b/Diamond_Ati_d3d_driver1.html
playing on r2a wvga - perfect perfomance
R3 O2 rom, runs very nicely
a newer ROM (21016.1.6) it runs like perfect in WVGA!!! Amazing stuff by SE..
does this run on other htc devices like HD or diamond.its about time sony does something worthwhile to the rest of the wm scene
I just want to remind you guys, this game was decided to be included with the upcoming R3A ROM.
Do not blame SE or anyone if it doesn't run smooth or good on R1A or R2A ROMs because SE never intended it to be run on those ROMs.
I'm sure the best framerate and performance will be seen with the upcoming R3A rom.

aah...one awesome game and i cant download it.... Rapidshare is kinda blocked in singapore isp's.
can someone email me pls?
or any non-rapidshare links?
will be extremely thankful..because i have no games on x1
Hi!
Anything you can share like ini file or maybe some specific driver you are using etc would be nice.
After seeing FpseCE in the HD2...I was blown away how much faster it is even with my phone OCed to 768Mhz.
Thanks!
Dude are you running the newer At0m d3d driver?
I am using the Energy ROM so I am not sure if it is there already...I know there is a GFX BOOStER option but yes I tried the Atom driver as well and I did not see any difference.
Did you?
Ya definately, FF7 runs at 60fps OC'd to 787mhz with the at0m d3d driver.
Audio is still **** tho and pocketiso doesnt seem to find any of the audio streams to rip and compress... idk how to do it man
Has anyone used psx4droid on their Desire HD? I can't help but notice choppy response and laggy gameplay, although it seemed to run much better on the desire and galaxy S. Any ideas? Has anyone tried?
The emulator runs horribly terrible for its V2 version, framerate runs at 30-40 fps and occasionally dips to 20ish. V1 1.7 runs much better but still the framerate seems to have more room for improvement.

Totally agree! I experience the the same frame drop.
But in my opinion the problem comes from the roms. I tried dozens of roms, they all make my HD slower, I don't know why.
The first rom 1.32 (when I bought the phone) was the best!
It runs great on mine. Have u got anti alias turn on? I found that Rele slows it down.

Where is that setting?? I see nothing about AA in options.
For me it runs quite crap aswell. I was looking at videos of other phones and it runs much better on SGS. Maybe it's not optimized for DHD?
Anyway, Fpsece has been announced and it will be released soon. This is a port of a WM6 PS1 emulator which is extremelly good on WM platform and looking at videos, this will be the one to play PS1 games on Android.
Check it out: http://pocketnow.com/android/legendary-fpsece-playstation-emulator-ported-to-android
When I ran the free / lite version, I actually thought it was somewhat playable ... but then I bought the full version and that seems to run very slow .....
Hopefully when we get the Playstation Suite / Store and Sony's official emulator, things will work fine. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play runs the same Qualcomm CPU / GPU combo as the DHD ....
I also have the same problem, runs very slow.
We won'y have to use psx4droid much longer. A developer has been working on this:

runs pretty well on my DHD, as mentioned earlier turning off anti-aliasing helps alot and overclocking to 1.5ghz helps alot

i tried the v3.0.7 on my dhd with a bichon rom (v3.3). it doesn't run at all ! i tried .bin and .iso image, but nothing works. Is there anything to do ?
i install it today in my cell phone but the game is playing too much slow and when i saw it on desire hd it runs smoth i m confused that there hardware are the same but way the game dosent run smoth .
It runs smooth on my phone, Oxygen rom and 800mhz Cpu, when it has to much movement, sometimes has a bit of lag, but its a problem that its solved easily, just put the Cpu at 1000mhz, and it rolls just fine
what version of the rom is that u have
tell me the best version for the games.

Why?

i guess u change your name build name in official rom and in ics u cant do it because if u do then your camera or other application will tear apart
Some fixes about games to play with
download orignal rom change every thing for example name and stuff like that and when u want to play first reset your phone and then play application and it will run smoth for me hope so it will run for u as well
Sometimes game musics&sounds don't play in this game. Completely silent. (Platform MIUI.pt 2.3.30.1)
some problem
I have some problem..
No matter what, Youtube videos HD stutter and lag intolerably. Running CM9 @ 1.5GHz, and on HC/ARHD HC it was perfectly smooth. It was also laggy on stock ICS. I believe this is an ICS issue, and was wondering if anyone has a fix.
Yes instal geuvors kernel test 13 and not 13b
Dont run from mobil site, click "desktop" in the lowest part of the site.
Or start videos in stick it player when browsing

Got same stuttering here in browser and youtube app. Stock, latest revolver and Revolution HD roms with test kernel 14 and 15 on both. No difference. The cpu is through the roof when watching HD content. The "force gpu" setting on/off makes little difference to the overall framerate. Will try test13 and report back.
The youtube app played everything smooth in HD on Honeycomb, so I went back to HC to test if it ran smooth again. It did not for some reason. Don't know what to make of this..
It is perfectly smooth for me. Check what version of the YouTube app you are running in the Settings. The latest is 3.5.5. I found that for me cm9 did not identify itself correctly on the Market and the YouTube app would never update leaving me with an old version.

Maybe with high overclock it is semi smooth, but I don't believe it is as smooth as on HC. Check on your PC how smooth it CAN play for reference....
I have tried your video in my Youtube app, fullscreen and HD enabled.
I do have some stuttering, but really not that much. It might be happening every minute or so : the screen seems to freeze before it catches up. The rest of the time, it plays perfectly fluid.
And TBH, it is really bearable.

What is your rom / kernel? What CPU speed?
PS yes between stuttering it is fluent, but the stuttering is quite annoying, I have it every 5-10 seconds or so in the beginning of the movie.

Opened with stick it videoplayer and it was 100% lagless. Also it was floating over the screen so that was awsome

Running the last Megatron rom, with Guevor15 OC'ed at 1,4. The stuttering definitely doesn't happen as often as what you're reporting, but it must have to do with my overclock.
I don't really remember how well it might have worked on HC, cause I usually don't watch much Youtube videos of that quality...
Overclocking isn't going to help mutch since YouTube uses the gpu to render the video's
same problem here. Never stuttered on HC.
Running latest Android Revolution HD 3.2.1 [email protected]
Still stuttering and lag when there's alot of movement. If I overclock to 1500mhz it goes a bit smoother, but HC had no stutter (without overclocking).
Youtube app version is 3.5.5. Guess it's the youtube app that doesn't take full advantage of the gpu in ICS, or some nvidia driver issue.
Just have to live with it I guess, until Asus comes out with a fix. If they still continue to support this old tablet
EDIT: Using Setcpu [email protected] and governor Interactive i managed to get a bit smoother performance (test16 kernel). Lags a bit at the start of a video, and some stutter when there's ALOT of action/movement.
Try this, download sempervidlink from google play, it enables you to send videolinks like youtube to any player (mxplayer) and choose which quality you want it in. Open a actionfilled video to see if it helps

Thx! will try this later today.
I Actually went back to Revolver 3.11 Honeycomb with no OC. All videos run smooth without any stuttering (youtube app). I guess Honeycomb manages to use the GPU, while ICS uses the CPU. If you tick the "show cpu thingy" under dev options and play a HD video, the bars are through the roof. damn annoying! This is the only issue i've got with ICS. no deep sleep of death or random reboots hehe
-bana
I'll also have to try the above method, since I also get stuttering and clipping of the search bar (not sure if thats related)
Just use guevor's v20 kernel and he posted some NVIDIA codec updates. I think it will be included into v21.
I can (almost) confirm that the new codecs helps, it's not as smooth as on hc, I don't think, but it's certainly better.
The test video posted earlier is still choppy for me but other stuff that was choppy before is better.
Link to the codecs.

Guys. this is an ics issue. i can confirm on 4 different devices.
nexus s 4g gingerbread was all good, ics no
epic 4g touch gingerbread great, ics leaks, cm9, no good
stock galaxy nexus, no good.
now the transformer, hc good. ics no good.
i have almost 40mbps down at my house there is no reason it should stutter.
it seems to me the first 2 or 3 videos are fine, after that it lags. i have to shut it down and kill it for it to play right again.
