Hi all,
I'm on a Verizon Wireless xv6900 (Vogue) and since updating to Windows Mobile 6.1 I've noticed that the default TouchFLO browser is Opera. Is there anyway to change it back to Internet Explorer, or am I just gonna have to shortcut it?
Thanks

Hey, i recently downloaded the opera mobile 9.5 due to the hype of everyone here on the forums however i experienced issues with it. Such as the url bar dissapearing while i was typing in a web address and difficulty with the keyboard. I would like to go back to the standard opera mobile found on the x1 however i cant seem to find any versions other than 9.5 beta. Any help suggestions?
standard opera mobile from x1 rom is in the windows folder. You will find a cab there. Just install it and everything must be fine again.
Hi,
I dont have sprint service anymore and cannot call them to fix problems.
I did however upgrade (Flash) to the new Windows Mobile 6.1 using the one provided by Sprint and HTC from there website;
_HTC Mogul (Sprint)_RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.56.651.0_RS_TITAN_3.42.02_SPCS2.04_PPST_0718_Ship
It went well, and now my HTC 6800 (Sprint Mogul) states the following on the "about" page in the phone.
WM 6.1 Pro
CE OS 5.2.19208 (Build 19208.1.0.1) 2007 MS Corp.
Now for my PROBLEMS!
1) Wifi wont work.
Actually more specifically IE mobile doesn't work. It still tries to connect to the sprint network (I had the SERO Plan) using the cellular connection (which I dont have anymore). I tried to change the advanced settings to make all Internet programs to use the wireless connection, BUT THE WIRELESS CONECTION IS NOT LISTED AS A OPTION IN THE ADVANCED SETTINGS or any network settings! The wifi in my phone connects properly to my home network though, and I tried without any wifi mac filtering or wifi encryption, and still IE mobile wont connect.
How do I fix this? Is there an app that will auto set all the correct reg settings and everything?
I want to the use the Mogul as a Internet downloader to download Usenet binaries and if possible megaupload links (a more greener option that having the desktop on). Anyone know of any programs that can do this on windows mobile? I was hoping to use NZBmobile for usenet. Dont know of any rapidshare or megaupload downloader for the the mobile though (Like jdownloader for the desktops).
2) Sprint Bloat software and features. Basically is there a version of windows that is just the OS without the bloat from companies? Will WM 6.5 be too big for the HTC to handle? I saw this on the net
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=67673
Will it be too much for the mogul with the tiny memory on this thing?
3) any 3rd party GPS software that dont require a Net connection and can use preloaded maps? I have 8 GB card.
Thanks to all those who keep the site alive!
Install DCD 3.3.4 or 4.1.2. You dont need the carrier cab and then use something like garmin xt.

Hey thanks for the reply drewcam888!
See I'm a bit new to mobile moding hacking. You couldn't trouble yourself to provide some links that show me how to get my wifi working could you? That really is my main problem now

So Opera Mini 5 is the superior browser, and my phone's been slowing down a lot recently. Is there a away to remap the browser tab in Flo to launch Opera instead of IE and possibly uninstall IE?
Also, on an unrelated note, is there a OS update out for the Rhodium yet? I got mine on the day it launched through Tmobile and was wondering if they had an update out.

There IS an update available, and if you are using Sense, the internet tab defaults to Opera, although it is not Mini 5. I'm using the T-Mobile stock ROM from January of this year.
The files for IE and Opera 9 are in the ROM and cannot be removed.
You should do some reading on these forums; the new OS is WM 6.5, and some people preferred the old WM 6.1.

has anyone found a way to disable the page view window that appears in the lower right hand corner when surfing normal web pages.
I spent some time looking trough the registry but have not found a way to disable it?
I have been using skyfire since up grading but allot of the audio streams i use are listed as favorites through IE.
any one know what registry key i have to change?
or if there is a way to put the winmo 6.1 IE into 6.5?
THX.
I don't understand why this is happening. I have one device running Windows Mobile 6.5.0 BONE STOCK with no manufacturer enhancements or modifications (HP Glisten) and the version of Internet Explorer Mobile 6 included on that device DOES reflow text to fit the page automatically whenever I zoom in or out. Great.
I have another device running WinMo 6.5.3 (Sony Ericsson Aspen - newer) and the version of IE Mobile included on it does NOT reflow text upon zooming in or out. Why would this be? Why would a newer, more recent edition of IE Mobile 6 not have a feature that an only slightly older version does include?
Does anyone know if there's a registry setting or something that can enable this feature in IE Mobile 6? I just can't understand why it wouldn't do it when the Glisten does, and it's running the older WM 6.5.
Can anyone help? Please..?
