Opera not working when using gprs. Please HELP - XPERIA X1 General

Ok I love Opera and I would like to use it, but I am having problems connecting to the internet with it.
First of all I have an unlimited data connection. So when I do connect I just want to connect. If wifi is available great, but I notice I connect much more often using my Telephone service providers data connection.
When I am connected via WIFI my Opera works fine no problems. This is the Opera that came with my X1 at purchase. However, I have also tried the 9.5 Beta and same problem.
When I connect with my via usb cable to pc it also works, though pretty slow.
BUT when ever I try to connect via my gprs G3+ data connection I get an error message. It is probably something to do with my settings. But I sure could use some help.
I do not have any issues with windows explorer. However, my WM explorer stinks.
Could anyone help with a solution? If your Opera work via GPRS maybe you could share your settings?
Thank you in advance

The hermes can do this. The Internet Sharing feature in WM 6.0 works great. Also a help in airports where my hot-spot account doesn't work.

Internet Sharing problem

Hello
I have x7500 i have Att data plan which works prefectly while used on the advantage. When I try to share it's internet conneciton witha PC the problem starts.
I open up the program Internet Sharing in the Advantage have select USB as PC connection and MediaNet as Network connection. Advantage connects to the internet viag 3g and then i plug in phone to the computer, computer connects, I get the IP address assigned. Everything seesm ok but its does not work, web pages don't open, not replying to any ping commands. I tried this on two different PCs with the same result. Does anybody know what is the problem ?
Thanks
Don't know... everything you are doing is OK. That's the way I'm using it as far as I know.
Could be the XP firewall messing around? I usualy shutdown that crappy firewall included in XP.

You should be connecting to your PC by USB first. Any connection is then instigated from your PC after connecting Internet Connection on the x7500.
You just start IE.
Found solution
I finally called HTC Support they told me to disable advanced network functionality found in Settings >> USB to PC, restarted the device and works beautifully.
I am wondering did the Advantage come with this option disabled for others ? For this that USB internet sharing always worked can you check if that option is enabled or disabled ?
thanks

TCP errors in Netfront and no Internet Sharing

I have a weird connection problem for a while now (started to come up some time after a rom upgrade, but i am not sure it is really related):
every application works fine when accessing the internet by means of 3G, except netfront 3.5CV. it gives me a TCP error.
if i disconnect the cellular data, and let netfront connect himself, it works perfectly well.
now i have the problem, that internet sharing doesn't work either. somehow i think the problem is related. because when i connect my PC to my i780 by means of bluetooth PAN, the PC reports the network connection as local only, and i cannot access the net from the PC. but the i780 also doesn't try to build up a connection, it seems.
I only have a single connection in the settings, altough the automatically generated o2 settings (generated by the operator settings thingy, i dont use o2 but three) are there too, but disabled in advanced config.
can somebody help me on this? I am on EFN ROM 4 U now and use a Vista PC, but i think this shouldn't matter with a PAN.
