Which memory card is better Sandisk 16GB Class2 or Class 4(mobile ultra)
I know class 4 is faster, but does it make any difference on the HD?

Does Class 4 make a difference to HD speed? I mean opening big files, copy them from the phone to the memory card etc.
Maybe HD speed isn't fast enough to use Ultra speed?
Even a Sandisk 16gb Class 2 is faster than what the HD is capable of.
Doing a benchmark on my SanDisk 16gb Class 2 inserted into a card reader, I get 18mb/sec read speeds and 13mb/sec write speeds.
Class 2 is more than enough for the HD.
Transfer speed may really be overkill, but if I'm not mistaken, faster cards also offer faster access speed, and that's something that really can make a difference!
Sandisk, class 2 is MUCH faster than other brands with class 4. I have 2 sandisks 8gb class 4 and 1 sandisk 16gb class 2. All goes to similar speed. I have, too, a Transcend class 4 and goes to half speed than sandisk class 2.
Diferences? Basically you will fill them faster if you plug them in a PC-reader.
(sorry for my english...)
What speed is the 2GB stock MicroSD card the HD2 ships with? (Just to know)
IS Class 2 fast enough? I have a 16GB class two that I'd like to use, but not at the expense of performance on the phone, or problems, etc.
Anyone?
Class II is enough for a phone. Dunno the speed of the inserted one - guess it is class II. I'm using a class II 16GB mSDHC from Toshiba since more than a year and I never faced any problems.
Here I have done two micro SD benchmark using sandisk microSD reader:
SanDisk microSDHC 2GB Classe 2
SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC 8GB Classe 4
The Ultra version has twice the speed of the stock one.
Yeah, that may be right and it could be faster when you copy some files to your phone or pull it down of it. But nevertheless the phone does not need more then class II, because it won't be able to exhaust it.
Even when recording video?
Hi Guys, I'm currently testing the MattC 1.5 build from a generic 4gb microSD card i had lying around and it works pretty well, but i was thinking of buying an 8gb Sandisk Mobile Ultra card to replace it. I would link to the car but i'm not allowed A quick search on google/ebay should bring up the card i want.
Do you think I would notice an improvement in speed with android running from the card?
kingston 8gb sdhc card Chinese bootleg
If your current card is a class 2 and the 8 gb is a class 4 or higher than yes, tou would notice a difference.

I use Sandisk 16gb sdhc and no problems with running android-of course only proper wm rom.... Not sure which class is the card
my current card is a Class 2 4gb Sandisk, for £17 i might just get the new card and see how it goes. Would you expect an increase in the score on the Quadrant benchmarks?
Sandisk mobile ultra sdhc 4 gb class 6
are these cards definitely class 6 as i have seen various sites saying they are only class 2 but much faster than the class 2 minimums?
I use a Sandisk ultra sdhc 8gb class 6......working great
16gb stock card that came with my tmous hd2, so im guessing its a class2 but everything runs smoothly tho.

8gb A-DATA class 6
Kingstone 4GB SDHC Class 4, working perfectly, but I'm looking for a class 6 card to see the difference in speed
See my signature, working perfectly without lags , I have never seen a SOD.

Hi,
Well, I use since last week a SanDisk 32 microSDhc class 2. Pretty fast in data transfer.
Read somewhere that the class 2 of this 32 GB edition can be compared to class 6 of older micro SD cards.
Had the standard 2gb microSD before, which was sold with the HD2.
Have no issues of speed with SanDisk 32 microSDhc class 2, when it comes to running Android and transfer data.
Recommend it!
generic 16gb class 2
Adata 8g class 6 lighting fast cost $15 running mattc froyo 1.5 fullram
Apacer 16GB SDhc class 4
Working perfectly..
Download SD Card Speed Tester from Market
and test your real speed. Run it three times on each card.
I have Class 2's that are 2's. I have the original 16 gb Class 2 that rates at six and a class 4 Sandisk that rates at a 9. You never know till you test it. Also have a Class 6 that rates at a 9.
8 gig kingstone class 4.
i got a 4 gig class 6 micro sdhc, but i can't notice a difference in speed big enough to compensate the loss of 4 gigs (lots of songs stored).

Hi,
I have class 4 SD card m running Pda's win7.8 rom. the problem I m facing is its lagging and slow then I did a benchmark test using free benchmark app everything is perfect except the write speed which is just 2.1 something, I know it may be a problem of SD card though wanted to know is there any tweak to speed it up through registry or app like andoirds have?
thankyou

Kingston 4GB Class 4
Kingston 8GB Class 4
Kingston 32GB Class 4
Microcenter 16GB Class 2
SanDisk 8 GB Class 2
SanDisk 16 GB Class 2
SanDisk 16 GB Class 6
SanDisk 32 GB Class 2
i have SanDisk 32 GB Class 2 and speed is around 8 mb/s
Slower card makes
you wait longer,
gets your cpu hotter,
your battery drain faster,
lags the phone,
slow responses of your phone,
Go buy yourself a class10 SD card!
Believe me, if i knew the diffrence, i would buy it 3 years ago...
Thank-you dxdy and stealth21
will buy new SD and report back
Everyone is making NativeSD ROMs, data2ext is really popular... But even though I have a class 10 card, NAND is always clearly faster.
I have ADATA 16GB class10 micro SD, which at least 16GB card would perform better, and to clarify - better than NAND?
fastest microSDHCs
I believe Sandisk has the fastest microsd. The SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I.
