I ordered the EU version(it says it has an english Rom on it..I think its WWE) of the TD2 on www.expansys.at .
The english rom in not bothering me..but does this rom only include the ENG version of xt9 or also the GER one?
If it only hs the eng one on it, could some1 tell me where I could get der german xt9 from?

I think XT9 is always in just one language. You could try changing the appropriate files though. Take a look at this thread.

German is standard listed in the eu WWE rom, so no need for regediting:
These languages are in the official WWE eu rom:
- english
- german
- french
- italian
- Spanish
For all other languages you must edit the registry.
And this keyboard is different than the one from the diamond so the above solution doesnt work fully(landscape fullqwerty)

This is great news! I could then by a WWE version (I prefer that over a localized OS), and still get Norwegian xT9. The ability to type fast (with word suggestions) in my native language is still important, even if prefer a WWE OS.
Do "we" have a list of the different regkeys (with values) that needs to be changed to activate the different languages? I don't need the functionality of changing the language through the SIP menu though. It's more than good enough to set the xT9 language "ones and for all" through the registry.

Don't you need a special keyboard for Norwegian? Or is a WWE keyboard good enough for you?
All the keyboard layouts for every language and such are included in the rom only not enabled in regsitry, so if we know the regs for norwegian, you can get a norwegian layout keyboard(even if there exist one, or is it just qwerty).
I'll take a peek in the registry if i can make it work tonight.

To change the language to german on a EU version isn't enough to click on the arrow on the right side of the keyboard icon (the one that shows underneath the Touch input keyboard) and change the language from english to german?
To get german, or better to get all the default languages, there is no need for reg editing. Or are you talking about other languages rather than the default ones?
I can do this on my diamond 2 with no problems.

That look's like it will do the trick for English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Simple and quick, can even change KB layouts and XT9 dictionaries mid message.

I don't think there is a special need for a Norwegian layout. We do have 3 special characters; ø,æ, and å, but these are usually typed on as SIP by pressing o or a, and the rest is taken care of by the word suggestion mechanism. If you need to type in not xT9 mode the special characters can be typed by pressing and holding either a or o, and you will get a slider with a lot of different special characters.

I'm not sure if there actually exists special Norwegian layout, but there is indeed a different dictionary. I will defiantly find out when my device arrives, in the beginning of May (hopefully).
The reason for me to find the proper reg-codes for Norwegian xT9 is because I don't plan to stay with the original ROM for very long. As soon as we get a working HardSPL I will defenately flash a cooked WWE ROM (hopefully with support for landscape manila, and more...)

Great news. I am also very interested in this. I am using fingerkeyboard and it is working fine as far as quickly accessing the Swedish characters, but it would be nice to have Swedish XT9. Any findings in the registry?

I read on another topics that you need to modify here:

Yes youre quite right, but the thing is that the regs for diamond are some different that TD2's so those regs only partially work.
Ive been gone for quite a time, but this days i've time to check te regs.

Hi All!
I got my Norwegian branded device yesterday, and there I have the options to choose between Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Swedish and English languages in the HTC SIP. If anyone can give me some guidance on where to look, I could make a registry dump that hopefully someone can use to enable these languages in the WWE edition.

Recently installed the new uDK R0 ROM, which works great. However, I'd like to use a norwegian T9 layout. I tried installing gullum keyboard + gullum norsk, tried a couple of multilanguage cabs, and a regular norwegian t9 cab I found here on the forums (not all at once). Problem is, in the T9 setup dialog, the "Norwegian"-option is never displayed, no matter what I do. I only get blank inputs in the list, as shown in the attached image. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong here?

Have you tried to select any of the blank ones? I selected the blank above 'Swedish' and that works fine for me!
No good.. On some of them, nothing happened when I pressed the keys. One of them messed up the display.
Try to add one of this http://rapidshare.com/files/93686701/T9_Language_input_cabs.rar and then edit the registry in HKLM/Software/Tegic/eT9 so that the registry for the language you want is similar to the others. It worked for me with the portuguese keyboard on the wwe official rom which is the base for Syrius R0. Good luck
After a reboot I got it working selecting one of the blank/empty fields in the language bar. Thanks

I have installed the T9_Portuguese.cab but the Portuguese Language still didn't appear at the T9 languages. Only English, French, Italian, German and Spanish is available.
Can you explain better what I need to do in the registry key HKLM/Software/Tegic/eT9 ?

I have the same issue that you have. I believe we have to check wich code is for Portuguese language and configure that code , in the registry, the same way that are done for the other languages.

I have created the registry entries, and now I have a language "Blanks", but it didn't work. The full QWERTY didn't have chars, and the compact QWERTY write numbers....
I think there is something wrong or missing in the registry update.

For Portuguese Users
1-Install the cab.
2-Soft reset
3-Choose portuguese
Now you should have portuguese dictionary working at least on "20" keyboard. On normal phone keypad sometimes it does not work altough it works very well with the official wwe rom. The keyboard does not shows our special characters though. So here we go:
4-on HKLM/software/tegic/et9 add 116 to the availabçle languages tring
5-on HKLM/software/tegic/et9/sip/LanguageKeyboardIDMapping add a string 116=916
6-on HKLM/software/tegic/et9/sip/bitmaps create a new key a name it 0B16
7-on HKLM/software/tegic/et9/sip/bitmaps copy everything inside 0B0C key and paste it inside the key you created.
8-inside the new key 0B16 ýou created on HKLM/software/tegic/et9/sip/bitmaps correct every entrance with fra to ptg (for example the string LowerCaseDown=L20-fra-map_down.png and you edit it to L20-ptg-map_down.png
9-soft reset.
10-you should have portuguese keyboard functioning as well as the dictionary

it worked perfectly for the "Compact QWERTY", both keyboard and dictionary, but for "Full QWERTY" the keyboard don't input any char and don't have the "ç" !!!
I'm seeing that to have other keyboards and dictionaries, it's very complicated
Actually I can write with the full keyboard and you can choose ç from the special charaters (second key from the bottom left) as well as é, ã and others. Try the full keyboard after writing something with other keyboard. Just change the input and try to keep writing. Does it work?
I can only input characters in the "Full QWERTY" if I disable T9.
But it's ok, i have now a way to write with T9 dictionary in the compact keyboard.

I believe that same works with THD what you gave for example.
I can confirm T9input14languages for Diamond works on the HD, using norwegian language on Dutty's WWE rom now

sorry but it does not work for italian.
i can install the cab file without error; i can also choos "italian" language in the keyboard options, but if i use t9 while i' m writing a message any character appears...

Hmm, I got the selection of choosing another languange but when I press a letter no letter appear, in keypad view, nor the ABC or T9 mode works, no letters at all, in keyboard view, the T9 doesn't work, but when I put it to ABC the letter I press appear. Any suggestions?

On all the new rom's I've tried ( and that's quite a few), attached file has worked on all of them with one or two exceptions.

I am sorry, but this cab can't work in my phone.
But the simpliest solution, I have been afraid to use, the "All input languages reg patch" for Touch Diamond, the "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab" operate well!

My: HTC Touch Cruise 09 (Iolite) ROM 1.09.401.3
it means, ROM contains Czech T9, only the option is hidden in the menu.

I am sorry, but your version does not perform on my device. Keyboard does not type anything. In any language.
I am HW restarting and converting to original "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab"
Well if you bought a Czech version than you should have that language included......though HTC is not always so generous in giving what we want...

Official Czech version ROM never have been sold, with Cruise09 model, I think. SunnySoft sell only the SW Czech localization (I have not it).
HTC sells English WM models with 14 languages T9 in Europe, but only the 5 main are in the menu (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish), others are hidden. How to unhide this languages, it is the thread

I have got this configuration now:
1. ROM: English (after HW reset it is still English)
2. SW localization WM: none
3. T9 language: 14 languages available in the menu, include Czech, unhidden with xda-developers
I am satisfied . No reason to change anything.

At last, with everything that we need collected, and with the great help of Zeratyl, we've made a russian localization for WWE ROMs.
How-To:
1) download the archive
2) open the folder 'Device.Software.Unlock'
3) install this cabs in the following order:
3.1 AllowCertificateInstall.cab
3.2 SdkCerts.cab
3.3 SecurityOff.cpf (No visible feedback while installing)
4) You must ignore all prompts to reboot during this process
5) install RusUltimate.cab
6) reboot
After reboot you'll see that everything is almost localized, with the exception of the default software that was bundled within ROM. Also you'll notice that the time zone is now MSK (GMT+3) and that the "Regional Settings" are now set to 'russian'

Believe me, my friend, even ppl with "English good" will be interested in such localization.
From another hand the Football keyboard is more than enough. Specially for those who maintains contacts in English.
There could be good to have double language in contacts/phone book search, but unfortunately it's not quite feasible in HTC interface.

I got an ex 2.10 Tmous downgraded to 2.08 that I was able to put Hebrew and now also Russian on it.
there is only one problem - dialer doesn't contain russian letters, it's a bit difficult to look for somebody in the phonebook

Yep, that's the problem, the goal is to keep XT9... unfortunately no solution exists so far, I'm in the same case, for some reason HTC thinks that French = AZERTY keyboard... mine is QWERTZ, thanks...

I did it as follow:
*I installed this rom: Leopat 1.4 Nld with Cookies Hometab
*I Changed the keyboard to french
*I Changed this in the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\LdbFiles]
"010c"="NLlsUN_xt9.ldb"
And now I have a dutch HTC with AZERTY . I took couples of hours to find those simple steps. Belgian people will be happy

Anyway XT9 still has a long way to go before it gets really useable, most of the time it doesn't even get it right if you type one wrong letter (neighbouring one) in a 6 letter word, and gives no suggestion...
Dammz... I flashed my HTC and did what I said above but xt9 stays french...
I searched hours for a solution without any luck.
