XDA II does not recognize any SD card

My XDA II doesn't recognize SD cards..I changed the cards (although working in card reader with my PC), I hard rest the XDA II, re downlaod the new ROM, and nothing happining ..My problem started after downlaoding the new ROM and unlocking my XDAII with the tool in this site!! at the same time I don't know if this is related!! please help meeeeeeeeeeee!!! I tried every thing ..urgent help needed please

I am sorry to here you are having difficulties with your XDA2. It would appear you have already tried everything I could suggest (hard reset, downloading the ROM again etc.) It would seem this is a hardware fault. Please call the XDA repair centre on 08081003427 with whom you will be able to discuss repair/replacement of the unit.

Thank you for your e.mail..But it cant be hardware problem ! because I had the same problem with my original XDA II, send it for repare, after THREE MONTHS!!!!! !!! no one could tell me were is my phone and after a very long fight I was givin a new XDA II..downlaoded the new ROM and you know the rest!!! please advice urgentlyyyyy

Does your XDA II even see the SD card?
With your device booted up and on the today screen, if you inserted an unformatted SD card you would be prompted to format it. Does this happen?

When I insert an SC card I have this massege on the screen"" do you want to try to reformat this storage card to make it readable? this will permanently delet any files on the card." i press YES ..then another massege saying" this storage card has been successfully formatted!!!!
but the XDAII dosent recognise the card any more..like it is not there!!! when reinsert the SD card same thing happens all over again!! I really dont know what to do anymore..any suggestions pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas

Have you tried different SD cards? Yours might just be faulty or incompatible.

this card was working perfectly befor the ROM upgrade!! But I still did try different cards!! and same problem!! and the same card is working perfectly in other devices!!

mmm OK well I'm out of ideas, sorry . Unless you try one of the tools available on somewhere like PocketGear. If I think of anything else, I will post it.

Help me fix my paper weight

Hi,
My Imate JAMin is dead after trying to flash the ROM with the QTEK S200 ROM using awizard. Anyways my phone will not connect to PC when I try to downgrade to the original ROM file (the JAM_WWE...exe). The problem is my PC wont connect to my phone, I get error 240 or something similar (cannot connect to phone message). So what I am asking is if anyone can backup their Imate JAMin ROM to a SD card and upload the image for me. I figure somebody here has got to have an extra SD card lying around somewhere. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

thanks for offering help. I am out right now, when i get home i will do a search and find out how to do it. In the meantime if anyone has any links for backup rom image to sd for wm5 and how to save this image to a file and then to write the image file to sd card again. thanks again.

1. Put the phone in bootloader mode (make sure battery is over 50% charged).
To do this, press the Camera button down, hold it there, and press soft reset. Let off the soft reset button BUT continue to hold the camera button down until you see 4 color bands on the screen. Let go of the camera button when they appear.
2. Connect USB cable to PC.
3. Re-run imate JAMin full flash .EXE file. Should work fine and get you back to normal.

Thanks for your help. I tried that before 5 times and the phone would get stuck on the boot splash screen. Now I cannot even get the phone into bootloader mode anymore unless it is plugged directly into the outlet. I do not know why it is doing this. I have charged the battery all the way. I also have a magician so I have tried 2 different batteries charged all the way. Since I can only get the bootloader mode while it is plugged directly to the wall, I cannot connect it to the pc. I have no idea why it is doing this. I just want to try restoring from an SD card rom backup before I send it in to imate.

I have made a sd image from my ROM and uploading it now. It's about 54 MB. I also tested to flash my Imate with this card and it works good. When you enter bootmode with the sdcard inserted it asks if it should restore from card. At this point press the comm manager button (the button under the volume control).
It's a image on a 128 MB SD card. You just have to write the image to your card with ntrw.
Good luck and let us know the results!

Thank you so much!!!! I really appreciate it. I just hope it works. If it does not work for me at least others can get this sd image to fix their prophets in the future if they cannot get it to connect to their PCs. I will let you know my results.

Do you know if the device has to be unlocked already or can you use this to get around the CID lock?

The SD card flash did not work for me. I was hoping the RGB color screen was the bootloader but it was not. I guess there is something wrong with my JAMin so I am sending it in to imate in the middle east. I would like to thank Swartb for taking the time to get the ROM image on SD card.
To answer the CID lock question, I think it does not bypass it so if you want to use the SD card to restore it has to be the same phone model so in this case the JAMin.

Need help, sd is gone

Hi; I need some help my sd has gone, the device and the resco detect that there´s an sd and even the amount of info but the device can not access to it, I ve try a soft reset but nothing, any suggestion? I got all the software in it so if anybody can give me a clue of how to get it back I´ll be really gateful.

Have you tried removing it, soft resetting without it in then slide it back in again with the device on.

Can a computer read it? If so copy the info off of it to the computer format the SD card and copy the info back. This does not answer the question of why this is happening but it may get the data back for you.

Problem - applications installed on memory card

I've reseted yesterday my Touch, by holding the power button on top. The problem is that since then, any application that i had install on my memory card(like core player, slick mess etc.) are no longer working. Message says something like: "components cannot be found". Its not the memory card itself, because i've tried playing some mp3 i have on it and its ok. any ideas? what can it be/ what can i do?

what if i do a hard reset, go back to factory settings, format the card and start fresh? any better ideas?

Before you do a hard reset...have you tried something simpler...like uninstalling and reinstalling the CAB file? Also, if you have the CAB file...im thinking its probably saved on your card....if so, try moving it from your storage card...and install it onto your phone memory...then reinstall the application from here. See what happens.

Did you pull out your card? If you done that, there is a problem. You supposed to have a new name "Strage card 2" for example. Try to correct the path to the new card or del. "Strage card" folder and replace with "Strage card 2"folder. Do this only from your PPC File Explorer

thanx for all the advices. doesnt matter anyway. i managed to get everything working again, and everything was ok for a few days! BUT today, i dont know exactly what happent, but one minute everything was ok, and the next i had a white screen with some weird video artifacts( i dont know if i am describing well) on the top. the htc is not ever responding to the power button on top, i had to pull the battery so it will go off. i'll take it into warranty tomorrow...

Why does my phone says phone storage is not mounted? I tried everything from factory data reset to the PHV ( Power + Home + Volume Up ) buttons. And it seems nothing is working. I have been looking for answers for days. And i dont think anyone has this problem than me. Im the only one with the problem. SD Card is not reading as well. I tried my SD Card on my wife's SM-N900 ( same as mine ) and it work well. Nothing happened. Is there any solution to this? Please help me solve this issue. Thank you for your time. /;

I tried to download something from WhatApp and it says " Download Failed : Cannot download because no internal shared storage is available. Please unmount it as a disk drive and try again". I never did do anything and it unexpectedly became something like that. Is there no solution to this issue ?

It might be a hardware problem specific to your phone - a bad contact or something similar. Test with 2-3 different micro-SD cards that all are (recently) tested and working fine in other phones.

I did try my wife's SD Card and it went well . And used mine on my wife's phone. But the main problem is that the Phone Storage in not available. How do i correct this hardware problem?

Does the card work (is it seen) in another phone? If yest try to format it on the pc and see if it is recognised then in the N3, if not the card may be damaged.

Yes it worked well on other phone's via alcatel. So it means that there's something wrong with my hardware right ? How do i change the firmware? Maybe something went wrong with its firmware? It has never fell before since its brand new..

My note 3 was doing fine and for past few days suddenly the sd card is not getting recognised and am not able to find which application got updated latest to cause this problem. Please suggest me the solution to this.
I did the card formatting as well factory reset the phone. Still the phone gives message as Blank SD card.
SD card reads in PC and in other phones.

Hi suddenly the SD card starts functioning and today it goes on and off means, sometimes it reads by itself and other time it gives blank sd card.
My note 3 is not rooted and Samsung guys informed that warranty ceases with rooting.
Can I have other workaround without rooting.

I have the same problem with my samsung Gio model: m290k..when i inserted SD card it does not show in my phone, however same SD card is operate in other models..when i try to download whatsapp pictures same message appear on the screen..

same problem on intex but can help a little!
I am stuck in same problem when i was massing arround with adding users on my intex aqua power ... i accidently unmounted my internal storage i cant even see my sdcard ... BUt I have terminal emmulator installed on my phone and i can navigate arround my memory card and internal storage /// I took my back up of my memory card in my PC then i copied all the folders from internal storage to sd card and again took backup of it!! It worked for me ... I did get my files back But still coude't mount my sd card or internal storage!!!
