Hello,
I dumped my original ROM with a tutorial posted somewhere here and archived them yesterday...now when I open the arhive it's corrupted.
I kinda messed it up, I'm from Romania, do you have any original ROM so I can revert when I'll need it?
I'm now using Panosha's ROM.
here's the link to the original WWE Rom
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Polaris/
Thank You!
What is the **_Ship.exe and what is the **_Test.exe doing? What is the difference?
And one more thing...what does WWE mean?
WWE is World Wide Edition ... Pocket PC is it English only, not like Smartphones they are in this Version Multi Language Versions!
Ship means ... this is version, they are shipped with the most Devices!
Test means ... this are test roms from provider or htc to find some bugs or test some fixes ... some times they are preproduction roms!
use every time the highest version numbers. preproduction are in most case older and have some bugs.

I just found out that I seem to have a more recent radio version on my TC than uploaded here..
When I boot my TC it shows:
R 1.58.21.23
G 25.65.30.04H
D 1.25.00.00
IIRC, 1.58.21.23 is the radio version, right?
Is anyone interested in a dump, or am I just daft and is this the plain WWE ?
R 1.58.21.23 <- radio rom
G 25.65.30.04H <- protokoll version from radio rom with hardware ID
If you mean the 1.64.xx.xx radios ... this are modded Kaiser Roms. with it ... HSDPA works better in my country, with more speed.

Where was this "released"?
Here. It's the german support website, but I thought that o2 provided it to all other customers as well.
thanks,
its a pity it is not an English ROM - that would have been zweet!
RUU_signed.nbh is dated 17 March... Really intriguing... Could this be real WM6.1?

Knowing O2 it is likely to be a badly put together cooked ROM that is waaaaaaaaay surpassed by Bepe's.
BEPE IS KING OF THE ORBIT 2 ROMS!!!
It was posted today, because i was yesterday on the site and they did not have the update, i will installed when i come home, I'm in the office

In your opinion.
So, I installed it.
On startup it shows
R 1.58.24.14
G 25.69.30.05H
D 1.28.00.00
It's CE OS 5.2.1623 (Build 18129.0.4.5)
So nothing revolutionary.
Sascha
any clue of video performance improoved?
Apparently it's just a minor maintenance update fixing various smaller problems e.g. with the radio. Another improved area are handovers when roaming nationally (since Germany's o2 uses the T-Mobile network in some areas). In the linked forum (german) a comparison of the old and new version is given:
New:
ROM Version: 1.28.207.2 GER
ROM Datum: 02/25/08 (ROM Date)
Funkempfängerversion: 1.58.25.14 (Radio Version)
Protokoll Version: 25.69.30.05H (Protocol Version)
Old:
ROM Version: 1.24.207.2 GER
ROM Datum: 12/06/07
Funkempfängerversion: 1.58.21.23
Protokoll Version: 25.65.30.04H
Video performance presumably remains unchanged and from what I could gather so far, this update did excite absolutely nobody..
Hmm, wasn't the 1.58.25.14 Radio the one which caused
most troubles with the Bluetooth dies, not connecting to WLAN and
others. Thought I had seen something in several threads, and
most did not recommend to use this one and better use the
1.64.08.21 And now it is used in official
upgrade ?! Hmm, maybe the same as with the Murata Radio...
Same build no., other content?

It´s perfect for modder ! The Garantieproblem is over . But, without changelog is this update a riddle.

This is not exactly true. The Murata Radio read 1.58.21.23 on my Polaris whereas I remember the original Radio to be 1.58.23.21. So apparently the Murata Radio is older than the Radio the Polaris initially shipped with, at least the o2 Xda orbit 2 version from the companys German offspring.

Nope, original radio ist 1.58.21.23
Sascha
I DO have .23.21...
Also earlier, I got confused when giving people Radio-ROM recommendations because I recommended .23.21 (which was my original) and I usually got answers asking me if I meant .21.23. Over time, this was very confusing, now with the new Radio I checked and I do have .23.21.

Never heard about a .23.21 version
But... anyway, this doesnt affect the circumstance, that the
new one (.25.14) is exactly the one, you claimed, to make problems
with reception, WiFi and so on. And now it's official O2 radio

Now it's time for me try some cocked ROMs
I bought my orbit2 a month ago.
Now that there is a official ROM available for the guarantee cases.
It's time for me to try some of the cocked roms here!!
Finally, I can turn my Orbit 2 into English version!!
Any suggestions about good cocked ROM that I should start with.
Hi I have a new UK Virgin HD2 2 days ago. I have updated all the updates currently showing on the official HTC website HD2 support page, (the camera one nicely got rid of the pink !) except for the ROM upgrade.
My question is does my HD2 have newer ROM than the latest one on HTC website please.
Details From the HTC website download title are as follows. Release Date: 2009-12-09
HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe
My HD2 software information reads as follows
ROM date 11/18/09 ROM 1.48.405.2 (71294) WWE Protocol Version 15.30.50.07U Radio Version 2.06.51.07
so it looks to me as though my Protocol and Radio Versions I have on my HD2 are already newer although the Rom version number appears the same. Should I do the flash upgrade please.?
Thanks Simon.
Hello,
I have the following ROM and Radio Version:
Rom: 1.48.405.2 (71294 WWE) (Generic Handset)
Radio: 2.05.51.05_2
There is a ROM UK update in HTC website and I am planning to apply it.
Will I get a newer version of Radio if I update the ROM?
Or do you update the Radio and ROM seperately?
If yes how do I update or downgrade the Radio?
Thanks
yes, the radio is updated with the ROM, although there was a newer radio update for 1.48 a couple of weeks back...just get 1.66 and you're good to go...
Thank you for the answer.
I guess once you update to the newest rom version there is no way to downgrade the radio version.
I mention that because some people complained about battery life in different post with radio 2.07...
If you have HSPL installed you can flash just the radio part, any version you like. Go have a read of the RADIO ROM thread here

Hi,
I think, if what you have posted is correct, that you have made a little mistake. Artemis' new roms have great problems with HSPL. You must flash using SSPL as described here.
All Leo's radio can be found here. Be careful to use the right radio for your phone. The last 2.15.50, if you have an european version of HD2 it's right. If you have a T-mobile 1GB ram I don't know,

Sir first of all go back on the Artemis thread. If you mention to have Artemis ROM v41.0 and HSPL!!! You missed some important informations.
First of all Artemis ROM v41 Is build on latest Stock ROM 3.14!!!
And Stock Rom 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL!!!
So first of all; tern back on previous stock rom
- remove HSPL!!!!
- install stock ROM 3.14
- and than install Artemis Rom v41.0!!!
More info can be find on first page of Artemis ROM.
Ow, on's you have done all this (correctly) you don't need to have a other radio version. the radio version of Sock Rom 3.14 is compatible with Android; also Artemis ROM v41.0 is compatible.

It isn't Artemis ROM who have problems with HSPL sir.
The problem is that latest Artemis version is build on Stock Rom 3.14; the one who isn't compatible with HSPL!
PS, you can't change Radio version from Stock Rom 3.14! because you need HSPL (the one who isn't compatible with spl 3.03)
Hi Kurt,
I read the Artemis and didn't see that it wasn't compatible with HSPL 2. I read this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612580
I still have HSPL running and Atemis and when I upgraded the radio now Android is running, but the radio functions are not too stable, so looking to find the correct radio.
Thanks for your help.

its not the radio making it unstable, it is hspl plus a 3.x ROM.
go look at your free program memory, bet it says about 50mb,, it should be around 170
